Telling the Story of ' L a o s ' in the North: Muang Ngoi- Nong Khiaw 3 Days 2 Nights🍃

Today, we are taking you to a local village in Laos that you have to visit at least once.

หIf you are passionate about nature, you should check out "Nong Khiaw" and visit Phadeng viewpoint🌿 which is around 140 kilometers North of Luaung Phra Bang city (approx. 3-4 hours). Let's begin! 👇👇👇

This morning, we are leaving for Nong Khiaw Village. We decided to rent a motorcycle 🛵 because it is more convenient than riding the bus that are only available for a few rounds per day. However, you have to be extra careful while driving. I recommend preparing a jacket, a hat or a buff cloth as it is very hot and dusty because the gravel road is very bumpy. But it is not impossible to travel, so don't worry.

We drove for around 3 hours to the village and had lunch. After that, we went to ask for permission to set up a tent on Phadeng's viewpoint. The way up to the viewpoint is around 2-3 kilometers away from the village.

The area has a caretaker who you can contact at the Sabai Sabai Massage (if you want to camp at the view point). After contacting, we prepared ourselves for the trip at around 15.30. While waiting, we took a rest, took a shower and prepared food to take with us.

When it was time, we screamed "Ohhhhh, it's so hot!!!". The temperature was around 40 degrees Celsius. In addition, the way up is so steep like Kao Luang Sukhothai. If you have gone up that mountain, you would know what it feels like! So prepare yourself well before coming.

We took around 2 hours to reach the viewpoint. The view was very worth it and it took away all the fatigue. The cool air touching my face was the best feeling ever. ⛰🌿☘🍀🍃☁ There are a lot of tourists who come up to visit the viewpoint so we chatted with them for a bit too.💚

As the sun sets, tourists begin to walk down leaving my guide and I who were preparing food and setting up the tent. Our meal was simple: steamed fish, chili paste, bamboo shoot soup and soft sticky rice. After our meal, we sat down and chatted for a bit before going to bed.

At night, it rained a little 💦 I hoped that the rain would give us some fog tomorrow morning - Good Night.

We woke up to some fog, while others found a lot of it. Maybe it's because we visited in the wrong season haha.

After spending some time with nature, it is now time to descend the mountain. Later in the morning, we packed our bags and walked down. It took around an hour and a half to walk down. Then we took a shower, had something to eat and prepared ourselves for the trip back to Luang Prabang.

Approximately three hours later, we reached Luang Prabang. We returned our motorcycle and took a three wheeler to the airport for our 16.30 flight back to Bangkok.
