To have weekend holiday is the miracle of life.

Normally, I rarely have weekend holiday like the others. Once I have it I would like to spend my holiday at the sea... but it should not be far since I prefer to have 1 day trip. In order to explore some more ideas of where to go, hence I have posted on Facebook about my intention to go to the sea. I have got plenty of ideas from my friends on Facebook, I finally decide to go to Rayong Province.

03.30 .....Hearing the alarm clock on Saturday

I usually wake up early... ... it is the reason why I travel alone because other people do not like to wake up so early. For those who have followed my blog, they might notice that I like to wake up early.

Why I have woken up so early for this trip... it is because I would like to take the first bus to go to Rayong, thus I will have enough time to explore Rayong Province within 1 day without hurry.

Ekkamai Public Transport Terminal

I choose the first bus to Chanthaburi province at 05.00 am because I would like to wander around Prasae Estuary, then go to Rayong. The transportation fee is 187 Baht, the bus has departed on time.

I have arrived at Prasae Estuary Intersection around 08.00 am, then I have to take the motorcycle service to Prasae Estuary, it costs 60 Baht.

Remembrance Lhuangprasae Battleship

It is the monument of Thai Navy located in Tambon Paknam Prasae. There are 2 Prasae Battleships, they were used in the war of North Korea and South Korea in order to remind the new generation to remember about the history of this place.

Rayong Mangrove Forest

It is the conservative mangrove forest, it is so easy to get to this place. I just continue walking from Lhuangprasae Battleship. I highly recommend to go inside on foot because you can indulge with the beauty of the mangrove forest closely. But, if you could not be tolerant with hot weather, there is also the public transport to take you inside the forest.

To take a rest

I have arrived at the big trees... Just need to continue walking a bit, , I almost reach mangrove forest.

I am almost there.

Oh wow... it is absolutely beautiful. The best time to reach here is 10.00 am because the sun is quite strong and it reflects the beautiful scene the most.

It is very beautiful. You should go to prove this by yourself.

To continue the trip

After getting out from Mangrove Forest, I intend to go to Khao Leam Ya... Luckily, I have met the tour group who are the former students of Thai Muslim Foundation School. They have invited me to join their bus and escort me till the public transport at Ban Pae

To take the mini bus to Suan Son Beach, then connect to another bus to Khao Leam Ya. Suddenly, I change my mind to get off at Mae Rumphueng Beach because I am attracted by the white sandy beach.

Rumphueng Beach

Khao Leam National Park

I go there in May, the weather is very hot, the grass is too dry but it is charming anyhow. If you come in the rainy season, it is more greenery. Normally, the entrance fee is 40 Baht but I do not know why they have given me 20 Baht ticket. I will come here again if I have got the chance in the future.

The tip for taking unguarded photos while traveling alone.

Actually, there are various tips to take unguarded photos in social medias. For me, I have got 3 tips for taking such photos.

  • The first, I need to set up the camera. But it is necessary to be careful to not place the camera at the location where there are many people.

  • The second, it is necessary to choose the right angle and the person who will take the photo for me. It is important to choose the person whom I can rely on, the one who will not run away with my camera.

  • The third, it is necessary to be relaxed

On the way back, I take the public transport at Mae Rumphueng Beach, then take the mini bus to Rayong Public Transport Terminal. I take the public van to Bangkok, the ticket fee is 160 Baht. I get off at Ekkamai (terminal station) at around 18.00 hrs.

Thank you very much

For those who like to travel alone, Rayong will be your alternative destination.
