From 22nd November, 2019 to 5th January, 2020, Central Embassy, the iconic lifestyle and fashion complex, is ringing in the holiday season with ‘Let’s Celebrate 2020’. Spectacular treats that include a Christmas-themed architectural park, workshops, fun activities, festive events, dining specials and holiday promotions throughout the seven levels. In the first-ever collaboration between Central Embassy and BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group, a prominent global architecture studio, ‘The BIG Holiday’ is a merry marriage of simple geometric shapes and forms that create a variety of dynamic architectural installations to fill the spaces with spirited vibes, resulting in an eye-catching architectural park like no other. Highlights include ‘the World’s Longest Christmas Ribbon’, an impressive 5,000 meter long ribbon that ties everything together with shimmering Christmas ornaments and spectacular lighting decorations to create a celebratory feel. Emphasizing Central Embassy’s ‘One Life, Infinite Possibilities’ concept, visitors will be treated to an immersive experience of art, design, fashion and endless imagination this festive season.

On this occasion, Bjarke Ingels Group, led by its partner Brian Yang, will be joining the special celebration, welcomed by Barom Bhicharnchitr, Managing Director of Central Embassy, together with Grisnagorn Sawettanan, Chief Executive Officer of Audi Thailand, celebrities in architecture Vasu Virajsilp - Juthatham Chirathivat, Yarinda Bunnag, Kanachai Bencharongkul, ‎and Samsara Eamegdool‎.

The concept of ‘The BIG Holiday’, brought to life by BIG’s team of architects, designers, urbanists, landscape professionals, interior and product designers, researchers and inventors, is to embrace the social spirit of the holiday season by creating

‘the World’s Longest Christmas Ribbon’ that threads from the adjacent Phloen Chit BTS station into Central Embassy. The ribbon morphs, twists and twirls to create different social spaces and program – and an invitation for interaction, play, and dialogue between friends and strangers alike.

Renowned for bringing a space to life, BIG is a Copenhagen, New York, London and Barcelona-based group of creative talents behind several successful projects throughout Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. BIG’s architecture emerges out of a careful analysis of how contemporary life constantly evolves and changes in conventional ingredients such as living, leisure, work, parking and shopping. As a result, BIG has created many magnificent places, including the playful LEGO House in Billund and Copenhagen's waste-to-energy plant doubling as a ski center, CopenHill, both of which have received global acclaim from the Civic Trust Award recognizing public spaces to ARCHITECT's 2015 Progressive Architecture Awards.

BIG's projects have been filmed for numerous media, from features in TED and WIRED, to the Netflix series, Abstract: The Art of Design, which premiered in 2017. The original docu-series follows the six-month, inception-to-completion timeline of BIG’s 2016 Serpentine Gallery Pavilion in London.

"The idea was born from Central Embassy's wish to bring happiness to our community during the Christmas and New Year season to thank them for their constant support and to wrap up our 5th anniversary celebration series with a big bang. Central Embassy has partnered with world-renowned architect group BIG to fill its venue with festivity, creativity and fun-filled activities. We hope that everyone will enjoy this incredible experience," says Barom Bhicharnchitr, Managing Director of Central Embassy.
