Let me introduce you about 'Naklua'

It's located in Bang Lamung district, Chon Buri.

The name 'Naklua' translates as salt fields.

But the weird thing is you can't find salt fields here. lol

What to do in Naklua?

Many people go there just because they want to have a meal at famous seafood restaurant.

Only few people intend to stop and stay.

I hope this review can make 'Naklua' become your next destination.

Where to stay?

This trip we set budget 1,000 baht for a room.

But we got only 600 baht including breakfast!

'Ruenthip Pattaya'

The building is changed from condominium.

Over ten-storey white building which is located at roadside.

(You can also look for 'Mum Aroi' sign)

Public zone - where you can sit and enjoy sea breeze.

I think it is good value for money.

It's highest building in Naklua.

You can choose either mountain or sea view room.

Naklua is a small city. So you can take a short trip.

Just chill out and leave all messy things behind.

Ep.1 Go cycling and get lost in Naklua

After checked-in and kept our belonging,

we hurriedly went down and rented bicycles from hotel.

There are 2 options.

(3 hours / 50 baht or 1 day / 90 baht)

We chose 1 day rental. So we didn't need to worry about the time.

Let's start the route! Our first destination was Lan Pho Market.

Along the way there is a long bridge where you can see egrets and sunset here.

There are local homes along the roadside.

Wooden buildings still retain how local people live.

If you see a big tree at middle of the road,

you have arrived at 'Lan Pho Market' or Old Naklua Market.

There are many shops where you can enjoy fresh seafood from the sea.

But if you are craving for some sweet, I would recommend you a famous Thai dessert.

This shop sells ripe mango and coconut sticky rice over 40 years. And it's super delicious.

At the back of Lan Pho Market, there is public park by the sea.

You can park your bike and have a seat.

Ep.2 Local food guide

We started at 'Song Bundit noodles' (ร้านก๋วยเตี๋ยวสองบัณฑิต).

It's located by the roadside near Lan Pho Market.

The recommend dish is 'Fish lines noodles with seafood soup and red sauce'

or you can order 'Sen Pla Yen-ta-four' in Thai.

Next one is 'Meng kee'(เม้งกี่).

Roasted duck is popular menu which is soooo delicious.

It's time for some sweet at 'Kanom Café'.

A small cute café where offers low price desserts.

We had dinner at small restaurant 'Koh Seafood(โก้ ซีฟู้ด).

It's located next to long bridge.

All menus are tasty with reasonable price.

The restaurant location is the best.

You can watch the sunset while you are having dinner.

I really wish I could stop that time.

Ep.3 Relax your mind @ Krating Lai Beach

In the morning we ride to market again and stopped at this stall.

Grilled pork and sticky rice are what Thais like to eat for breakfast.

There are 2 types but I preferred flat one.

You should give it a try!

Krating Lai Beach was our destination.

Only few people talked about this place.

But I would say this place should be 'must visit place' in Naklua.

...

It could be the perfect beach hideaway for you.

And it's easy to get there.

You can ride from the hotel and turn into Soi Sukhumvit-Pattaya 8.

'5 reasons why you shouldn't miss Krating Lai Beach'

1. If you are looking for a quiet beach in Pattaya, you are at the right place!

2. It's nice and clean beach.

3. There is no chair beach and hassle from vendors.You can bring your own mat in order to do sunbath or picnic.

4. The trees offer the shade over walkway. So pleasant!

5. The highlight is, there is paved bike lane where you can enjoy 180-degree sea view while you are riding.

Even though it was a short trip but it charge me up.

For me 'Naklua' is like forgotten place. But I won't forget this trip.

A sleepy part of popular tourist destination which reflect the quiet, unhurried atmosphere,

while also taking advantage of the naturally beautiful surroundings.
