Vietnam This destination used to be one of the countries I never thought I wanted to visit, but after a trip through the desert in Mui Ne, I wanted to come back to visit this country again. With low expenses and delicious food, I wanted to come back to visit again. After getting a travel companion with the same ideology, it was time to travel. Then we chose Da Nang as our destination, which has Ba Na Hill, the French city of Asia, and Hoi An, a world heritage city.
Expenses per person for the entire trip (this trip, there were three of us)
Round-trip tickets from Bangkok to Da Nang 4,877 baht per person (flying with AirAsia, if anyone buys during a promotion, it might be cheaper)
Accommodation for all 3 nights 1,534 baht per person
- Stay at a hotel on Ba Na Hill for one night. Anyone who comes here recommends staying overnight because you will be able to soak in the real atmosphere. During the day, there will be many tourists from below coming to visit, but when evening falls, the tourists will take the cable car down. I will give more details in the topic of what is on Ba Na Hill. I got a special price by booking through trip.com for 2,800 baht per night for a room for four people, including breakfast.
- Stay at a hotel in Hoi An for 900 baht per night x 2 nights = 1,800 baht. The hotel is Acacia Heritage Hotel Hoi An. It also has a swimming pool. Even though it is a bit small, this accommodation is considered to be good. It is a heritage hotel, but you can walk to the Hoi An night market. There are also many bicycle rental shops in the hotel area.
Cost of SIM card, airport transfer, local tour approximately 1,500 baht per person
Food and beverage expenses, exchange money to use per day, 1,200 baht per person Some people might be shocked. Hey, is that enough? I'm telling you, it's really enough for food and beverage expenses.
Cost of cable car to Ba Na Hill (for those staying above, you will pay this rate, but if you are not staying, you will pay a more expensive rate) 700 baht per person
Total for the entire trip per person 9,811 baht
For those who do not want to fly with AirAsia, you can fly with other airlines and get off at Da Nang, Vietnam. Then, if you want to make it convenient to travel from the airport to the hotel, the hotel will have a shuttle service, but the price may be higher than if we call a taxi or book it ourselves. Because I didn't want to risk taking a taxi, I chose to book a car with a specified fare. During our entire trip, we traveled a total of 3 times. You can choose to use the services of airporttaxidanang. You can book through the website or send an email to book. As for payment, you can pay in cash each time.
- Da Nang Airport to Ba Na Hill (outbound)
- Ba Na Hill to Hoi An
- Hoi An to Da Nang Airport (return)
- What is on Ba Na Hill? Why do you have to visit Ba Na Hill?*
Ba Na Hill is located in Hoa Ninh District, Hoa Vang City, Da Nang Province, about 38 kilometers from Da Nang city center. It is a tourist attraction full of many interesting things, which was created on a mountain top about 1,487 meters above sea level. There are tourist attractions scattered around each area on the mountain top, which tourists must take a cable car to visit. And this cable car is the longest and highest cable car in the world, with a length of 5,801 meters and a height of 1,368 meters.

Getting there: Travel from Da Nang Airport to Ba Na Hill and then take the cable car up to the top.
Accommodation: Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills There are many types of rooms, both for two people and for four people as a family. Because there were three of us, we chose to stay in a room for four people. If you stay above, it will be like being in a dreamland because when evening falls, the tourists who are not staying will all go down, leaving not many tourists. And the whole city will be covered in fog. The atmosphere is really beautiful. In addition, there are many restaurants on the top, both European and French restaurants, and the prices are not too expensive. You can leave your stomach there.
There are many tourist attractions on the top. The highest point is where the accommodation and restaurants are located. It is called the French Village. It is a French medieval-style village on the top of the mountain, with shops, restaurants, hotels, accommodation, a church, and souvenir shops. Next is Fantasy Park, an amusement park inspired by the famous novels of French writer Jules Verne, namely Journey To The Center of the Earth and 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. In the amusement park area, there is a wax museum (you have to pay a separate entrance fee). But if you want to see the flower garden, you have to take the cable car down to another point and then take a train (tram). From the flower viewing area, which is another highlight of Ba Na Hill, you can walk to see the Golden Bridge, which is a floating hand-shaped bridge. It's like walking in heaven. There is also Linh Phong Tu Temple, located on the southeast side of the top of Ba Na Hill. From this point, you have to walk up, which is quite tiring. You will see a beautiful viewpoint where you can see the entire French village.

Highlight that everyone comes to. The day I went, the fog was very thick. I had to wait for the fog to clear before I could get this picture.

Cycling the most thrilling in the world heritage city "Hoi An"
After two days and one night at Ba Na Hill, it was time to travel back in time to (who) at Hoi An, a world heritage city. As usual, we used the shuttle service that we had already booked. It was convenient and comfortable. When the time came, they came to pick us up at the appointed time. All the drivers spoke English. Even though they were not very good, they could understand where we were waiting and find us.
It is said that when you come to Hoi An, you must ride a bicycle. But before we decided to rent a bicycle to ride, we almost gave up because we saw the traffic here. Even though we had seen it before, we were still not used to it. What will happen, will happen. Let's try it. However, when we rode our bicycles into the old city, it was easy because there were no cars in the old city area. The old city area is full of shops and accommodations that give an ancient atmosphere. If anyone wants to buy souvenirs, I recommend riding to the end of the old city. There will be souvenir shops in that area. The vendors speak Thai and can bargain for prices.
In the old city area, ride a bicycle around the city, stop for a coffee, and live a slow life. Then, when night falls, it will become a night market. There are boats on both sides of the canal for you to ride, and there is street food like in our country. With the lights and the cool breeze, it's like going back in time to the past.
The old city area at night
It will be a bit yellowish.
You must buy a hat, not to fit in with the atmosphere, but because it is very hot.
What to eat, what to tour in Hoi An
-Basket boat When you arrive in Hoi An, you must not miss taking a basket boat into the mangrove forest. You can buy a tour at the hotel, but if you want it to be a little cheaper, you can walk to buy it at a tour company in the old city. However, you will have to walk to the tour company to get on the bus. So we chose to book with the hotel.
One boat can accommodate no more than three people.
During the boat ride, there will be activities to do.
A show of rowing the boat around and around very quickly. Even the audience gets dizzy, but the guy is not dizzy at all. He's the best.
- Food
For those who love Banh Mi or French bread, you must not miss this shop. Banh My Phuong The taste is very good. The bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They give a lot of filling. If you like it spicy, you can ask for chili. In addition, during the day, you can eat food at the market in the old city area. And in the evening, you can sit and eat right away. It's like a walking street in our country. There are many foods to choose from.
Today, there are not many people yet, but some days there are a lot of people. You have to wait in line.
Vietnamese spring rolls may not be exactly like ours, but they are also delicious.
In addition, there is also a free bicycle tour, which I will review separately because I want to go into a bit more detail.
Is it time to say goodbye to Hoi An?
After being in Hoi An for two days and two nights, I started to fall in love with this city. It made me want to come back and visit again. A small town where people are still kind. A city where they say you can park your bike anywhere and it won't disappear, which is true because we tried it. When we got to visit on our own, we understood why so many tourists travel to this world heritage city, even though it is not very convenient. Because it still has the scent of the past mixed with the culture, how can you not fall in love with this world heritage city?
