This time, I received a free Lunch Buffet voucher at the Novotel Bangkok Platinum Hotel from participating in a review contest with www.painaidii.com. I won a consolation prize, which is this Lunch buffet voucher. First of all, I would like to say that I am not a professional food critic, but I am more skilled in photography. So, this review may not describe the taste of the food in much detail because I think that everyone's taste in food is different. Therefore, I would like to present the appearance of the food instead. I think that one thing that makes food delicious, besides good taste, is also good looks. This will make the meal a special one for you.
To get to the Novotel Bangkok Platinum Hotel, you can take the BTS Skytrain and get off at either Siam Station or Chit Lom Station. Then, walk to Ratchaprasong Intersection, pass Central World, and cross the Saen Saeb Canal Bridge. The hotel will be on your right.

From Ratchaprasong Intersection, you can see the Novotel Bangkok Platinum Hotel not far away.

This Christmas season, Central World is celebrating under the concept of "Universe of Happiness" by transforming the plaza in front of the mall into a dazzling display featuring hundreds of Snoopy characters, as well as the tallest Christmas tree in Southeast Asia, standing at over 36 meters tall. The festive scene has been bringing smiles to the faces of shoppers and tourists passing by the mall's entrance.
The Novotel Bangkok Platinum hotel is located at the foot of the bridge over the Saen Saeb Canal.

The Square Restaurant is located on the 6th floor. When you exit the elevator, the restaurant will be on your left, the Platinum Lounge will be on your right, and the lobby will be in the center.

From 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, The Square Restaurant will be serving an International Lunch Buffet.

Line food area

There are many dining areas, like this one located right at the front entrance.

Next to the front seats is this zone. It is located near the Line of sweet food.

This area is the most spacious dining area, with an open and airy feel, and is completely separate from the food line.

The restaurant arranged a seating area by the window for me. I think this area is quite narrow and it's quite difficult to get in and out. As for the view, you can see the construction area next to the hotel and further out you can see the side of Central World.

This corner is located next to the seafood zone. There is also another zone on the balcony of the restaurant. This zone is for those who want to experience the fresh air outside the hotel.
Let's take a look at the Line Buffet. Let's start with this corner first, which is the Chinese food zone.

This area serves fish maw soup, roasted duck, crispy pork, and roasted duck noodles.

The crispy pork was so crispy that it won my heart. Even after being drizzled with duck sauce for a long time, the crispness of the crispy pork did not fade away. Plus, the meat was tender. If I wasn't worried about my cholesterol, I would have ordered 2 plates already.

There are many dim sum menus to choose from.

Fried taro

Deep-fried minced pork and crab meat wrapped in a wonton wrapper.
The next zone will be a fusion of Thai and Italian cuisine.

The containers in front mostly contain pre-prepared Thai dishes, such as various side dishes. The dishes that the chefs are freshly preparing are mainly foreign dishes.

There is a Pasta corner where you can choose your own noodles and toppings. It's cooked fresh to order, dish by dish.

And there are many other menus that I haven't tried at all because there is so much food. I can't eat it all. But what I really like is the thin-crust pizza. It's so delicious.

It looks like a gyoza, but I wonder why it's in this zone.
The central pavilion will be divided into several food zones. Let's start with the Japanese food zone first.

There are various sushi toppings, including sashimi. There are large pieces of salmon, tuna, octopus, crab sticks, and egg rolls.

Next up, we have a variety of salads.

This corner is dazzling. The food is beautifully arranged in small containers, making it look very appetizing.
It will be a Thai food corner that focuses on various types of "yum" dishes.

There are fish ball salad, crab stick salad, and shrimp salad.
The final corner of this stall features gravlax dishes.

Gravlax is a type of salted and smoked food.
The other corner will be Cold Seafood.

The platter features bite-sized oysters, plump New Zealand mussels, succulent prawns, and crabs, all accompanied by a zesty seafood dipping sauce.
The other corner is a corner for fruits and desserts.

Let's start with chocolate fondue.

Followed by seasonal fruits, during my visit there were pineapples, papayas, watermelons, and cantaloupes.

The menu features Thai desserts such as stuffed pastries, and ends with roti.
And what you can't miss is this corner, the corner of desserts with a variety of cakes.

You can say that it's truly diverse.

Each layer of the cake is packed with a variety of fruits.

Christmas pudding

Strawberry mousse

Tiramisu

Besides being a pound cake, there are also beautifully decorated small pieces. There are cakes, jellies, cookies, delicious enough to make you willingly become diabetic.
Actually, there was also ice cream, but I forgot to take a picture of it for you to see.
For the International Lunch Buffet here, I think the food is very diverse, so much so that I couldn't try all of it. The ingredients used are fresh and the taste of the food is good. As for the atmosphere in the dining room, it is beautifully decorated. The only thing I would criticize is the narrowness of the seating area by the window, which is a bit cramped for someone as big as me. It's a bit difficult to get out of my seat.
Another spot I'd like to show you is the Platinum Lounge. I really love the atmosphere here. Sitting and sipping a drink while enjoying the view outside is pure bliss.

Finally, I would like to thank Painaidii for organizing a great writing contest activity, which allowed me to win a voucher for a lunch buffet at the Novotel Bangkok Platinum Hotel. And I would also like to thank The Square Restaurant for giving me the opportunity to taste delicious food like this.
