If you're looking for accommodation in the capital but are tired of the hustle and bustle of the city, today I have a place to stay that I would like to present as an option for your accommodation search. This place is located near Sathorn in Soi Narathiwas Ratchanakarin 24.
Although CHATRIUM RESIDENCE SATHON is not located on the BTS line, getting there is not too difficult. You can take the BTS to Chong Nonsi station and then choose from three options: 1. Take a TAXI 2. Wait for the hotel's Shuttle Van Service, which will pick up and drop off hotel guests, but there will be a waiting time, or 3. Take the BRT.
For those who choose the third option, after getting off the BTS, walk along the Sky Walk and you will find the BRT ticket booth. Buy a ticket to get off at Chan Road (3 bus stops) for only 5 baht. When you get off the bus, cross the street. If you are too lazy to walk, you can take a motorcycle taxi. But if you are energetic and want to exercise, you can walk into Soi Narathiwas Rajanagarindra 24. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to CHATRIUM RESIDENCE SATHON.
We have arrived at CHATRIUM RESIDENCE SATHON. From the outside, you can see 7 buildings lined up like the letter U.
Upon entering, you will be greeted by a spacious lobby. The center features a Lobby, flanked on both sides by areas for guests to relax while checking in or out.
The first room I'm going to show you is the Grand Deluxe Two-Bedroom Suite. This room is perfect for families or groups of friends of up to 4 people.
This room will have 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. Inside the living room, there will be a large sofa for watching TV or doing activities together. There is a writing corner and a dining table for 4 people.
The master bedroom is quite spacious, with a writing corner, a reclining chair for watching TV, and a king-size bed.
This master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. The bathroom has both a bathtub and a shower.
The second bedroom is not much different from the master bedroom. The usable area is slightly smaller than the master bedroom. The amenities are no different from the master bedroom, except that this bedroom does not have an en-suite bathroom.
The second bathroom is located in the living room area and is a shared bathroom. Although it is a shared bathroom, it also has a bathtub.
This room is a kitchen, equipped with a wide variety of appliances. These include an electric stove, a range hood, a refrigerator, a microwave, an oven, a washing machine, an electric kettle, plates, bowls, spoons, and forks. Everything you need is here!
The view from the room will be 2 types. This room is a pool view.
The second type of room is the Deluxe One-Bedroom Suite. This type of room has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a living room, and a kitchen.
Upon entering, you will be greeted by the living room area, which features a dining table and a sofa for watching TV or enjoying the view outside the room.
The bedroom is spacious with a king-size bed and a work area. An iron and ironing board are provided, as well as a safe located inside the wardrobe. There is also a TV in the bedroom.
The bathroom looks spacious. It has a bidet and a bathtub.
The kitchen is well-equipped, with all the amenities you would expect in a 2-bedroom apartment, except for an oven and a washing machine. However, if you are only staying for a night or two, these missing items are unlikely to be a major inconvenience.
The view from this room is a city view. It's especially beautiful in the evening, as you can see the stars stretching out as far as the eye can see.
For the last type of room that I will show you is the Studio type. This type of room is the smallest, but it still has a usable area of 45 square meters.
The King Size bed has space for writing. There is a chair to sit or lie down and relax.
Although the Type room is the smallest, it still has a dedicated kitchen area with a small dining nook. I think this small corner looks stylish and is also functional.
The bathroom in this Type room is also smaller in size according to the room area. But even though it is smaller, it still has a bathtub.
We've seen a lot of rooms, so let's go see other areas. The first place I'm going to take you to is the Flow Oasis Pool Lounge.
Flow Oasis Pool Lounge is located on the 4th floor by the swimming pool. It is a Soft Drink corner open from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
And what I mean by not using the Welcome Drink coupon at first is because I would like to recommend you to sip your Welcome Drink at Flow Oasis Pool Lounge instead. The atmosphere is much better than sitting and drinking in the Lobby. Oh, the Welcome Drink here will be coffee or fruit juice. As for this Cocktail, I ordered it separately.
Located near Flow Oasis Pool Lounge is albricias Restaurant. The word "albricias" is Spanish for "celebration".
This restaurant is open almost all day, with a break between breakfast and lunch that lasts only half an hour to an hour. Lunch and dinner are served both A la carte and Buffet, with clearly separated areas. Upon entering the restaurant, you will find the A la carte area. The decoration is quite luxurious, with gray as the main color, but with yellow accents.
The A la carte and Buffet areas are separated by a beautifully designed glass partition. Guests seated in the A la carte area will not feel visually overwhelmed when looking through the glass wall, and they will not see the hustle and bustle of the Buffet guests.
The Buffet area offers stunning City Views.
The seating area and food line are separated, making it look organized.
Speaking of restaurants, let's move on to dinner. The day I went was a Saturday. Every Saturday, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, there is a Saturday International Seafood Buffet.
As mentioned earlier, the dining area is clearly separated from the food line. The food line is similar to an open kitchen, where chefs only cook certain dishes, such as spicy salads and papaya salads.
As you step into the food line area, you will be immediately captivated by the star of the Saturday International Seafood Buffet, which stands out so prominently that it's hard for any other food to steal the show.
Giant Alaskan king crab, clams as big as spoons, and fresh oysters, the quality is bursting with flavor.
Enriched with various types of shrimp, including river shrimp, sea shrimp, tiger shrimp, and complemented with horse crab and squid.
Another menu that we recommend you try is this oyster cocktail.
Japanese sashimi comes in a wide variety, including salmon, tuna, giant squid, amaebi shrimp, and imitation crab.
In addition, there are many other menus that use seafood as ingredients.
Let's take a look at each menu and see what's on offer. Starting with Lobster, Baked Sea Bass, BBQ Seafood, Tasmania Salmon a la Provencal, Mussels, Clams and Shrimp baked in tomato sauce. It's not often you see clams in a meal like this.
Shrimp with cocktail sauce, Smoked Salmon Guacamole, Seafood Pizza with thin and crispy crust.
Fried fish, TATAKI SALMON, Fried fish with three flavors sauce
Tiger prawns and grilled mantis shrimp, Squid salad, Squid Cheviche is squid marinated with lemon, salt, onion, chili pepper, olives
Crab fried rice, sukiyaki, spring rolls, gyoza
I would say that over 90% of the dishes here are primarily made with seafood. There are only a few dishes that might deviate slightly to add some variety to this evening's meal, such as various cheeses, mashed potatoes, Parma ham, snacks like cashew nuts and biscuits, and fresh strawberries to cut through the richness.
There is also a salad corner.
Or if you're craving something spicy, there's also a papaya salad menu available.
For those with a sweet tooth, this corner is a must-visit. There are various cakes to choose from, as well as traditional Thai desserts such as "luk chup" (sweetened mung bean balls), "med khanoon" (jackfruit in syrup), "thong yot" (egg yolk drop), "khao tom mud" (sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf), "khanom sod sai" (stuffed sweetmeat), and "kluai chueam" (caramelized bananas). There are also four ice cream flavors to choose from: strawberry, vanilla, rum raisin, and the rather unique ginger flavor. It's strange but delicious!
The star of the show today is the seafood, which is incredibly fresh.
Fresh oysters, I didn't notice any toppings like fried shallots or chili paste, but here they are served with this kind of dipping sauce. The taste is similar to something pickled, but it's quite delicious.
Oh, I forgot to mention one more thing that is indispensable: scallops. They are large, tender, and very delicious.
Sashimi
Seafood Salad
River prawn som tam, oh my! Writing a review while drooling.
I must say that I didn't get to try any of the supporting actor's dishes, because after the 6 dishes I photographed and shared, I was practically unable to eat anything more. I only had a little dessert to freshen up. I think the food tastes just right, as the seafood is quite fresh. The seafood dipping sauce is good, and the papaya salad and spicy salad are also flavorful, although they might be a bit mild for my taste.
The price for this meal is 1,090++ (Net 1,283 baht). This price does not include drinks. If you include free-flow drinks, the price is 1,150++ (Net 1,354 baht). However, if you have a Citibank credit card, there is a promotion of "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" or pay 1,400 baht for 2 people. This price is Net and does not include drinks.
In addition to the Saturday International Seafood Buffet, on Tuesdays, there is also Tuesday's Flavor of Japan, a Japanese food buffet that features freshly sliced raw fish such as salmon, tuna, and Alaskan crab. The ingredients arrive in the morning and are sliced fresh for dinner. Tempura is also available. The price is 890++ (Net 1,048 baht). Citibank Promotion price is 1,143 baht for 2 people.
However, if you are unable to visit on a Saturday or Tuesday, there is still a chance to indulge in the Mediterranean Friday Buffet. This buffet features premium ingredients such as Foie gras, Prama Ham, lamb ribs, Fin de Claire oysters, and various cheeses. The price is 690++ (Net 813 Baht). Citibank promotion is available at 886 Baht for 2 people.
After a satisfying dinner, I took a short walk by the pool to aid digestion before heading up to rest.
View from the room. I can see the stars on the ground with my own eyes.
For breakfast, I also came to eat at the same place, Albricias Restaurant. From the area that was previously divided into two parts: the A la carte area and the Buffet area, but for breakfast, the two areas will be combined to accommodate guests who come to eat breakfast.
The breakfast line will be international.
This corner is for rice porridge.
This corner is stir-fried noodles with plain rice and fried rice.
The dim sum corner has a variety of dumplings, including shumai, har gow, and steamed buns.
This corner has both ham and sausage.
Rice ball corner and various soups
Salad corner
Egg Station
The bakery corner that I like is that it also has pumpkin pastries. They are delicious.
Fruit corner
Yogurt corner
Cereal corner and various toppings
The food tastes good. There is a wide variety of food. I spent about an hour in this restaurant. During the morning, there were a lot of guests, so I had to queue. And I would like to commend the staff for their excellent service mind. Even though there were a lot of guests, their faces were full of smiles and willingness to serve.
Let's take a closer look at the amenities that CHATRIUM RESIDENCE SATHON has prepared for its guests.
The Business Center is located on the ground floor near the Lobby. It offers meeting rooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, a photocopier, fax machine, and video conferencing facilities.
The 3rd floor houses the T-Zone for guests who enjoy sports such as snooker and golf driving.
The 4th floor is a hub for various amenities. Starting with the Kids Zone, it features both indoor and outdoor playgrounds. However, please note that the Kids Zone does not provide babysitting services. Parents are required to supervise their children. If parents are unavailable and need to leave their children at the hotel, they can contact the hotel to arrange for a babysitter. However, this service will incur additional charges.
There is also a coin-operated laundry room.
There is also a Convenience Store. The prices are slightly higher than those in outside stores.
A large swimming pool surrounded by large trees, providing plenty of shade. The pool is open from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
There are showers to rinse off around the swimming pool.
And in the mornings from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM, there is also a yoga class by the pool.
Overall, I think this is a great place to stay. It's perfect for those who want privacy, thanks to its location in the Sathorn district, but it's also in a quiet corner. The hotel has a lot of amenities, including a convenience store, business center, swimming pool, fitness center, golf driving range, and coin-operated laundry. The rooms also have kitchenettes and dining tables, although some of the things the hotel provides seem unnecessary for a stay of just 1-2 nights. This is definitely a strong point of the hotel.
Although some of the furniture and appliances in the room seem to have been used quite a bit, the bathroom fixtures, such as the sink, toilet, bathtub, and plastic curtain, may not seem very modern. However, when it comes to functionality, I think everything is easy to use and can be used to facilitate things very well. Every room also has free Wi-Fi.
Due to the hotel's location in a quiet area, there may be some transportation issues for those without a private car. However, the hotel provides a Shuttle Van Service to transport guests to BTS Chong Nonsi Station, Emporium Shopping Mall, Central Rama 3-Tesco Lotus, and Asiatique. The service operates according to a schedule.
For those who are interested in staying at CHATRIUM RESIDENCE SATHON, you can follow and inquire for more details on the hotel's website http://www.chatrium.com/chatrium_residence_sathon/default-en.html

Oh!!.. I have another thing I would like to recommend, which is to become a member of the "Chatrium Privilege Card". I think it's very worthwhile if you are looking for accommodation in a good location within the CHATRIUM group. By becoming a member of the Chatrium Privilege Card for 3,500 baht/year, you will receive a free room with breakfast for 2 people for 1 night. You can choose to stay at either CHATRIUM HOTEL RIVERSIDE or CHATRIUM RESIDENCE SATHON (the room rate alone is almost the same as the card price). Additional privileges include discounts of 15-50% on food. The discount will depend on the number of members who come to eat. For example, if 2 people come, they will get a 50% discount, if 3 people come, they will get a 33% discount, and so on. The discount is not only for food, but also for other things. If you are really interested, you can ask at the hotel lobby.
