Here we go again, lol. 555

Hello everyone, today I will take you for a drive, I repeat, just for a drive. Let me repeat, just for a drive.

Therefore, the focus will be on locations rather than a wide range of activities.

It just so happens that this Saturday and Sunday are free and the weather is starting to get cold, so I'd like to go and breathe in the scent of the mist, the wind, and the rain.

Let's go then! ^_^

Let's take a look at the rough plan that has been laid out.

Rangsit - Ayutthaya - Khao Kho - Route 12 - Phra That Pha Kaew - Phu Thap Boek - Phu Ruea - Chiang Khan - Rangsit

The cost is very low and the travel time is only 2 days and 2 nights. I will explain it to you later.

This could be a guide for friends halfway through. The main thing is whether you have enough strength or not.

Day 1
03:00 AM Travel from Rangsit to Khao Kho
07:30 AM Arrive at Khao Kho, go see the fog at Leelakorn Viewpoint
08:00 AM Pay respects at Phra That Khao Kho
09:00 AM Visit Route 12, a beautifully decorated roadside restaurant. Great for taking photos, but the food is expensive and the taste is bad (personal opinion).
10:00 AM Wat Phra That Pha Gaew, a must-visit place. Words can't describe it, you have to see it for yourself. 😜
02:00 PM Phu Thap Boek (recommended to go up the old Lom Sak route, the scenery is beautiful)
05:00 PM Phu Ruea (never been here before, initially thought it was nothing special, but it turned out to be amazing! The fog is incredible. 😮
07:00 PM Chiang Khan, stroll through the walking street (stayed at a local guesthouse for 150 baht per person, relaxed and fell asleep)

Day 2

06:00 AM Dragged myself out of bed to offer sticky rice to the monks.
07:00 AM Visit Phu Tok (to see the fog)
09:00 AM Spend as much time as possible in the charming town of Chiang Khan.
01:00 PM Leisurely travel back to your accommodation.
06:00 PM Arrive at your accommodation. : )

The total cost was split between two people, so it was only 1,500 baht each. It wasn't expensive at all, especially if you plan well.

***My plan is to estimate the time from google map. I will reduce the travel time from google map by 20%.

Because Google Maps uses a travel speed of 90 km/h, but I actually drive around 110 - 140 km ***

Let's get started!!!

I dragged myself out of bed because the alarm clock woke me up to go on a trip. At first, I almost didn't go and was too lazy to wake up. 55 But oh well.

Leaving Bangkok at 3 am, driving leisurely and enjoying the scenery, I ended up getting lost again, wasting about 45 minutes. (I was enjoying the drive so much that I forgot to check the GPS, haha)

Around 7 am, we will arrive at Khao Kho. Let's go see the pictures together : )

After watching the fog, we went to the Monument of Sacrifice and then went to pay respects to the relics on Khao Kho.

We should finish visiting all the places before 9:30 AM, because we need to go to the foot of the mountain next.

(Please find information about the background, structure, and origin yourself. 55)

Just a little extra for those who are afraid of getting lost, wondering which way to go. I've found a map for you and

Let's plan how to manage our time. : )

From the top, drive down to the bottom. We should arrive at the bottom around 10 am, which is a good time.
This time, there are two places to recommend: having lunch at Route12 and visiting the beautiful Wat Phra That Pha Gaew.

Route12

Alright, after we had our fill, for good luck, I also stopped by Phra That Pha Kaew. This place is still under construction, not 100% finished yet, but I can assure you of its beauty and magnificence. It took about 1.5 hours to get there. This place is amazing. : )

At first glance, the next picture seemed very ordinary. As I looked from the outside in, my eyes were immediately drawn to it. When I got closer, I realized that this large picture was a creative work by kindergarten and elementary school students. It was a drawing of their own families and the Buddha in their own way. The whole picture shows each person's parents, siblings, walking hand in hand, with a house, a family, pets, and the main focus is Buddhism. I really, really like this piece of work.

When I made a wish, I wished for everyone who reads my article, including all my lovely followers. 55

Let's move on! After we were full of merit, I headed straight to "Phu Thap Boek" without hesitation.

Around noon, we should leave Phra That Pha Kaew. Then travel to Phu Thap Boek.

Take the old Lom Sak road, the road is very beautiful. It takes about 1-2 hours to travel.

It depends on the driver's ability. As for the car, don't worry about it.

Fits all brands, all vehicles, if the car starts and the engine is not hot.

But don't forget to put it in low gear, okay? : )

As it was cold during the time I went, I stopped by the side of the road to buy a hat to wear.

The atmosphere as we approached Phu Thap Boek was like, well, you should go see for yourself. 555

It happened that day I was wearing a page shirt. Because I got along well with the merchant.

So I gave him a page shirt. 55

(I wonder if he'll be happy or sad, huh?)

After gradually climbing higher and higher, I soon saw the sign for Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park. 55

This means that you are only 2 kilometers away from Phu Thap Boek. Your friends will be there soon! Then, turn right and go down!

Phu Thap Boek is another place that is suitable for spending a night to relax and enjoy the fresh air. However, we would like to go to Chiang Khan to sleep.

We only spent time here eating and picking strawberries to eat. We took very few photos, only a few to show our friends. We sincerely apologize.

Okay, if possible, you should leave Phu Thap Boek before 3 pm. Because if you follow my plan,

We will continue to watch the sunset at Phu Ruea, which will take about 2 hours. : )

Around four to five in the evening, my friends will be at Phu Ruea National Park.

I'm here for no particular reason, just to watch the sunset.

However... the atmosphere probably wouldn't be suitable for watching the sunset anymore, lol. 555

See, this trip didn't cost anything at all, except for the cost of petrol. 555

When we were at Phu Ruea National Park, we could only take pictures because there was a lot of fog.

But when I took the picture, I couldn't see much because the fog was blocking everything. 555

As the sky began to darken, the light gradually faded away. Before leaving, I took a picture with the Phu Ruea sign as a souvenir.

Then continue your journey to Chiang Khan.

(This must be quite brutal, as driving is very heavy)

It takes about two to three hours to travel from Phu Ruea National Park to Chiang Khan.
During my trip, I walked in to find accommodation. Luckily, I found a place to stay by the Mekong River for 150 baht per person. 55
After getting settled in, I took a walk along the Chiang Khan Walking Street before falling asleep in bed that night.

Although we were tired yesterday, we didn't forget to wake up early this morning to make merit and watch the sea of fog at Phu Thok.

At the accommodation or shops, there are sets of food offerings for sale at only 50 baht each. The monks will walk by around 7 am.

The accommodation will lay out mats in front of the house for us to sit and wait for alms.

This is called "sticky rice alms offering" in this area. 55 It's a really good atmosphere.

After finishing the alms offering, I immediately drove to Phu Thok before the fog disappeared.

The original text is in English, so no translation is needed.

Phu Thok is not far from the village. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get there.

Upon reaching the foot of Phu Thok, you will need to park your car and take a shared taxi (songthaew) to the top.

The round-trip ticket is 40 baht. Just queue up and get on the bus.

As we drove uphill, the road became increasingly shrouded in mist.

I believe my friends must be as excited as I am, and the last image you will see is

"Sea of mist" at Phu Tok, Chiang Khan District, Loei Province.

Thank you for following me to this point.

See, this trip didn't cost anything at all. There were just some small ticket fees.

The cost of food depends on your appetite.

The majority of the focus is on travel expenses.

Fortunately, my car uses LPG, so the cost is a bit lower.

My girlfriend and I went together, and the average cost per person was around 1,500 baht.

This trip is considered okay. If you think you are still strong and energetic, copy this trip. : )
