This time it's just a Mini Review because there are quite a lot of reviews of Japan in the Tokyo area and nearby.

The tourist attractions and travel routes are similar to those visited by other friends and older siblings.

Therefore, I would like to review only the hotel accommodation and Shisui Outlet, which I went to walk around.

This time, I traveled on Thai Air Asia X with a promotional price for the Narita route from April 2nd to April 7th.

Most of the time I went there, it was raining and windy, but luckily I still saw the cherry blossoms, even though the cherry blossoms were hit by both rain and wind and fell a lot.

Hotel New Tohoku Ueno Station

Before making a reservation, it's the same as before. Set a budget first. Usually, for a trip to Japan, I set it at no more than 1,000 baht/person per night.

This time, however, it was over budget because the travel period was quite peak and I wanted a room with two single beds near the train station.

The conclusion is that the budget has been exceeded, but it is acceptable because the trip will only last a few days.

Booked through Booking.com for 3 nights at a price of 31,300 yen.

After that, before traveling, we confirmed our reservation via the hotel's email [email protected]

From Narita Airport Terminal 2, take the Keisei Line.

Narita Airport Terminal 2 - Keisei-Ueno Route

Keisei Main Line Ltd. Exp. Price 1,030 yen, a little over an hour to Keisei-Ueno

After that, drag your long suitcase through the underground passage to Metro Ueno Exit 2 or 3. There will be an elevator near the exit according to the map. Walk for another 5 minutes and you will reach the hotel. The hotel is located in a small, cute alley. If you don't pay attention, you might just walk past it. 555+

The hotel has 3 floors if I remember correctly and there is no elevator.

Fortunately, I got a first-class seat, so it was a bit easier. I didn't have to carry my bags up and down the stairs.

The room with 2 beds has a large window that opens to a small street next to the hotel.

Yakatha set, refrigerator, hair dryer, kettle, air conditioner + heater included

The bathroom is small, Japanese style, but it is fully equipped so you don't need to bring anything. Toothbrushes, shower caps, and razors are all provided.

Note: The bathroom has a slight unpleasant smell, not sure if it's because it's on the 1st floor.

On rainy days, the hotel provides umbrellas for borrowing. In the morning, free tea and coffee are available.

Personally, I think it's worth the money I paid, which is almost 3,000 baht per night for 2 people.

The location is excellent, with easy access to the subway, airport train, Ameyoko Market, the Purple Building, and Ueno Park, all within a 10-15 minute walk.

The food scene in that area is amazing, both day and night. You can even shop for heavy items and bring them back to your room to store, and on the last night, you can stay near Narita because you have an early flight back to Thailand.

This time, I chose the cheapest option, which is near the train station, as usual.

Ends at Narita U-City

Travel by Keisei-Ueno - Keisei-Narita

Walk for another 10 minutes. You will also need to walk past JR Narita if you are coming from Keisei-Narita.

As soon as you exit JR Narita Station, you will see the hotel right in front of you.

If you have a trolley bag, it is recommended to take the elevator and follow the path on the map.

If you walk on the skywalk, you have to carry your bag down the stairs. It's a bit tiring and inconvenient.

Book through Booking.com as usual. Swipe your card at the hotel, 6,200 yen per night.

The hotel offers a shuttle bus service to the airport. The first bus leaves at 7 am.

Note. I didn't use the service because I thought I would rush to the airport a bit so that I would have time to walk around and look at things, but when the time actually came, it was too early in the morning and the shops were not open yet.

Therefore, it is recommended to do Web Check-In of Thai Air Asia X and use the hotel's Shuttle Bus around 7 am, which should be comfortable.

Confirmation of the reservation for this hotel was not made because the hotel's website was inaccessible. http://www.u-cityhotel.com/

The reception is on the 2nd floor. You need to take the elevator from the ground floor. The staff will ask if you would like to use the hotel's shuttle bus and what time you would like to leave.

The restaurant is also on this floor, but our price does not include breakfast.

The room was much newer than I expected, which was great. The equipment was complete as always.

The bathroom is larger than the one at Hotel New Tohoku, and it has all the amenities you could need.

The view from the 8th floor shows Narita-san in the distance.

Let me tell you, the price is worth it. It's close to both JR and Keisei train stations, and there are a decent number of restaurants in the area.

It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to Narita-san. You can walk around and look at the shops. It's not as crowded as Tokyo. After visiting Narita-san, you have some time left, so you can go for a walk at Shisui Outlet.

From Narita, you can take the Shuttle Bus for 260 yen/trip to either JR Shisui or Keisei Shisui.

For Shuttle Bus timetables or other information, please visit the website http://www.premiumoutlets.co.jp/en/shisui/

We chose to travel by Keisei because the train times were convenient for us.

If I remember correctly, when you get to Keisei Shisui Station, take the West exit and you'll see a sign for Shisui Outlet like this.

You can wait for the bus here. It's recommended to plan your time well so you don't have to wait for the bus for too long. There are no shops around here.

It takes about 10-15 minutes from Keisei Shisui - Shisui Outlet. The fare is 260 yen. You can tap your card.

The Outlet is quite large and is currently being expanded. There are still many brands that have not yet opened.

Compared to Marinoa City Fukuoka, which I've been to before, this place is huge and deserted. There aren't many people around, maybe because it's already evening.

I thought I should go to Aeon, but it's too late now. 555 #crying so hard

There are many Coach options available for both adults and men.

The sports shoe section has almost every brand, including a wide selection of New Balance models.

Nike is still under construction.

I'm so sad that I didn't get anything, but at least I got two pairs of shoes. When I arrived at Keisei Narita, I had a big meal to end my last night in Japan.

I stumbled upon Gyoza no Osho and decided to give it a try because it was packed. It did not disappoint, the food was delicious.

Just a short walk from Keisei Narita, you'll see the shop on your right.

We were so hungry that we ordered 3 dishes for 2 people. Each dish was huge, and we were completely stuffed.

At the end of this trip, I want to take a long break from Japan. The more I go to Tokyo, the less I like it. After visiting Tokyo, I miss my trip to Kyushu. I guess I prefer places with fewer people and more nature.
