It's been 3 years since we last visited "Kanchanaburi", a province with an abundance of natural attractions. However, due to time constraints and other commitments, we haven't been able to return. We miss the waterfalls, the dams, and the River Kwai, which were highlights of our previous visits.

The more we see our friends checking in at various locations in Kanchanaburi, the more we learn about new places. Our desire to see them with our own eyes grows exponentially, and today, we finally have the opportunity to visit Kanchanaburi. We are so happy to be here.

In mid-January,

We don't need a luxurious five-star bed. We don't need the high-tech facilities of the place. But what we do need is to be close to nature and to hear the sounds of nature around us. Because we believe that nature is a healing force for ourselves.

Today we are sleeping in a tent, and it's an air-conditioned tent too! It's surrounded by nature and is ranked as one of the top 5 most comfortable tents in Thailand. This place is.... Mida Resort Kanchanaburi

Another way to contact us, receive news or want to come and talk to us, you can find us here. We have a small page here. Let's follow it. ^__^

https://www.facebook.com/RinsaYoyoliveTravelBlogger/This trip to Maida Resort in Kanchanaburi was by private car.

The long run from Nakhon Pathom to Ban Pong, reaching Saeng Chuto intersection and turning right, passing through Kanchanaburi city for a long time, is a straight road.

No matter how many red lights there are, I don't stop, I just go straight. Along the way, there is a large and prominent cutout sign of Maida Resort Kanchanaburi.

In fact, there are 5 branches of Maida Resort, namely:

1. Maida Airport Hotel Bangkok (Don Mueang)

2. Maida Ngamwongwan Hotel

3. Maida Twarawadi Grand Hotel, Nakhon Pathom (Newly opened at the end of last year, it is the only 5-star hotel in Nakhon Pathom, which is full of art and sculptures.)

4. Maida De Sea Hotel, Hua Hin (next to Sheraton, 400 meters from the sea, the building is parallel to the sea and every room has a balcony to receive the sea breeze and sea view. The swimming pool is a saltwater pool, shaded throughout the afternoon. You can swim in the sea at the front of the hotel. Radisson Blu Hua Hin, a hotel under construction in the same area and by the sea.)

5. Maida Resort Kanchanaburi, the new phase of which will be completed around May this year. The rooms will have a beautiful view of the river and mountains. There is a large swimming pool and a large seminar room (where we are staying now).

The first check-in point when we arrived at Mida Resort Kanchanaburi was the most relaxing activity of the place, which is the activity of going down the raft or floating along the Kwai River.

Nestled amidst the serene embrace of the Kwai Yai River, Maida Resort Kanchanaburi offers a tranquil haven where guests can immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. This idyllic location provides an unparalleled opportunity to reconnect with the wonders of the surrounding environment.

The rafting or floating down the Kwae River is available twice a day, at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. However, the availability may vary depending on the water level on that day.

Ready, set, go! Are you ready? Life jackets can help.

The Mai Da Resort in Kanchanaburi will have a team of strong lifeguards on hand to closely monitor all customers during this activity.

If you ask how good it is to float, raft, and drift with the water, we would say that it is like letting go and letting your body flow with the current.

In nature, with a destination ahead, a sense of relaxation and comfort with the water, another point called nature therapy.

That's the feeling of floating, that's where the fun is ^^

The period between 13.00 and 15.00 is the most suitable time because in the morning, the Srinakarin Dam has just released water from the dam, which may contain debris.

You can follow us in the afternoon. It is the most suitable time when the River Kwai flows to its fullest and is also the safest.

Including the cleanliness of the River Kwai, at this time it is the best time to swim. Clear, clear

This is the time when I feel most comfortable, enjoying the cool breeze. If you're not floating or rafting, you can take a boat ride to enjoy the scenery.

Showcasing the views and landscapes surrounding the resort along the Kwai River.

And then we saw the second check-in point, which is a tent with air conditioning, our bed for tonight.

The second check-in point is an air-conditioned tent on the banks of the River Kwai, which is located on a terraced base.

With several tents lined up and spaced apart, with separate walkways for each zone.

If you are interested in sleeping in a tent like us, we recommend booking a tent by the river. It will be amazing!

This is it, our place! It's right next to the Kwai River, so close we can hear the water flowing and the insects chirping all night. It's the perfect escape into nature.

But wait!! Is this a taxi or not? It's green and yellow, very similar, right? 555

Let's go inside the air-conditioned tent. Let's open the curtain door and unzip it to go inside.

The key here will be a padlock type. It is relatively safe.

The tent is spacious and tall enough for us to stand up without worrying about hitting our heads on the top of the tent.

A standard resort bedding set, with towels and a bathrobe placed on the mattress.

On the other side, there is air conditioning, making it cool and comfortable. There is a safe and a refrigerator. In the refrigerator, there are 2 free bottles of drinking water.

The other side of the mirror is a wardrobe. There are clothes hanging there, but we didn't take any pictures.

There is a large foam cushion in the middle of the tent for you to relax on, enjoy the view, or play Facebook. Oh, and there's free Wi-Fi too.

However, the tent we were staying in was a bit dodgy, with the lights flickering on and off. I'm not sure about the other tents, though. As for the price of the tent, I've included a link to the resort's website where you can book directly.

We booked the date for March 5-6, which is Saturday and Sunday.

This is the price from the website directly.

The upper back tent that goes up the hill following the stairs, other colors, and let's go see the bathroom.

After looking at the tents by the river, let's take a look at the bathrooms in the tent group. However, the bathrooms are not by the river, but they are close by in the tent zone.

The restrooms are separated for men and women, with separate toilet and shower rooms. There are multiple rooms available, which are definitely sufficient for the number of customers using the service.

The bathroom is designed to be very natural. For example, half of the roof of the shower room is open, so you can shower under the sky and challenge the sun. 555 You can choose between a water dipper shower or a rain shower. As for me, I haven't used a water dipper to shower for a long time. I love it! I even took a shower at midnight. It was so cool and refreshing. 555

And in the evening atmosphere like this, don't miss the banks of the Kwai Yai River with the best angle

River Romance is the most romantic spot where we can sit and have dinner. This spot is only open from Friday to Sunday. If you come on any other day, you'll miss out.

Arriving in Kanchanaburi, you must order local Kanchanaburi food. Most of the staff in this resort are almost all locals.

The reason is that Maida Resort wants to distribute income to local people. And local people know their local stories better.

Customers or guests who come to stay can ask questions and get answers right away. And the food for this dinner is moderately spicy to spicy, according to the style.

Starting with the free-range chicken jungle curry, but wait, where did all the oiliness go? 555 It's really the original recipe from the local people of Kanchanaburi.

Bring the whole clay pot with the fragrant smell.

This deep-fried banana root fish dish is also incredibly delicious. The small fish are fried until crispy and hot, making them a delightful snack that you can enjoy without even needing rice.

Mon-style curry is another local dish of Kanchanaburi. I've seen many types of curry, but I just found out that Mon-style curry here uses coconut milk.

Deep-fried Pla Raed Kheu (with fish sauce dipping sauce and green curry) This dish is highly recommended! The fish is cut into large pieces, deep-fried until crispy, and can be dipped in either fish sauce or green curry. Both are delicious. The fish is so plentiful that it will fill you up. This dish stayed in front of us for a while, but it was all gone in the end. 555

Spicy stir-fried catfish, highly recommended to be served with hot rice. It's delicious! / Pad Thai with fresh shrimp wrapped in egg and the evening atmosphere around River Romance. ^^

River Romance

In addition to the River Romance zone, there is also The Terrace restaurant at Maida Resort Kanchanaburi for dinner and breakfast here.

Lush and surrounded by large trees.

The large swimming pool at the center of Maida Resort Kanchanaburi is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the evening. The pool is surrounded by various types of rooms, offering a variety of options for guests.

We will stop by tomorrow to collect more images for you to see. For this night, we slept in an air-conditioned tent, listening to the sound of running water and the chirping of insects all night long.

I can really feel that I am close to nature. I asked myself, how long has it been since I was so close to nature like this? ^^

Early in the morning, the sun has risen. At the edge of the Kwai River, there is a thin mist that can be seen from the Kwai Yai River at the pier.

It is noticeable that the water level has dropped significantly.

Due to the nighttime period, from 4 pm to 8 am the next day, the Cheun Srinakarin Dam, which is the headwaters of the Mae Klong River, has closed its gates.

To generate electricity. And it will be turned on again at 8 am. This is one of the reasons why the floating raft activity is held in the afternoon.

Because we have to wait for enough water to flow first, right?

However, we think that in the mornings, the water flows continuously and sufficiently. It's a time when we come out for a walk.

By the river, I sat on a swing, still with myself, watching the water flow by without thinking too much.

This is it. Letting go of the scene in front of me is the most comfortable thing right now.

Out Door zone at The Terrace restaurant of Maida Resort Kanchanaburi

The breakfast was average for us. It wasn't too little, and it wasn't too much, but it was enough to satisfy our needs.

For breakfast this morning here.

Upon check-in at the front desk, guests will receive two breakfast vouchers per room.

The tent we slept in included breakfast. The Maida Resort Kanchanaburi is surrounded by tall trees, both planted and naturally occurring.

I heard that there was no policy to cut down the original trees. We noticed that from the moment we drove into the resort area, from the entrance to the main road.

There are so many trees on both sides of the road, it's like a whole forest.

Later that day, we took the opportunity to walk around and take pictures of other room types at Maida Resort Kanchanaburi.

With both Superior Room / Deluxe Room with double beds in groups like this, seminar customers will probably love it.

In fact, booking accommodation here directly through the hotel's website will be a net price and cheaper.

Consider this from this website: http://www.midaresortkanchanaburi.com/

The room is decorated in a simple style with clean white tones. The room is fully equipped with amenities and supplies, just like a typical resort.

As soon as you open the curtain, you will see the trees and the Kwae Yai River flowing through. So cool!!

Another type of accommodation at Maida Resort Kanchanaburi is the Pool Villa, which offers a high level of privacy.

There are 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units available. The 1-bedroom unit at Maida Resort Kanchanaburi has 4 units, while the 2-bedroom unit has only 1 unit.

Each Pool Villa is privately fenced with its own entrance and exit.

A small swimming pool in the private area of each Pool Villa. We saw it and we just wanted to throw a party, lol. 555

The rooms are clearly zoned, with both one-bedroom and two-bedroom options available.

The living room, dining table, and small kitchen are separated by a central zone.

As we strolled along, we noticed a towering structure standing tall in the heart of the resort. However, guests are not permitted to climb it.

From above, you can clearly see the resort from a high angle. Wow, the sky is so beautiful today!

Let's take a look at the last room type. Baan Rom Mai has 2 houses that can accommodate up to 10 people and have 3 bathrooms.

Whether you're a gang, a group, or a large seminar group, you can all stay together here. But... for us, choosing to stay here this time, we chose to enjoy the nature more.

It's no surprise that sometimes we sit still, walk slowly, and let our thoughts wander naturally. But strangely enough, we feel strangely comfortable.

We will be like this every time, on every journey, that we are with ourselves ...

Sitting still is the ultimate comfort, don't you think? ^^

Thank you so much for following me to this line. Why don't we try changing the atmosphere by the River Kwai? ^^
