... Hello again! Haha, I'm sure you've all noticed how hot it's been in Thailand lately. One of the easiest ways to cool down is to take a dip in the water. Hmm, I just went to the beach, so how about a waterfall instead? But will there be enough water to play in during the dry season? So I tried searching on Google and found out that waterfalls in Kanchanaburi have water all year round. Well, then I have to go! I chose Erawan Waterfall because it seems easy to get to and there's public transportation available.

..... Have you packed your bags yet? If you're ready, let's go!

Travel

Erawan Waterfall is located in Si Sawat District, Kanchanaburi Province, in Erawan National Park. There are many starting points for the journey. Southern Line, Mo Chit, Victory Monument. We started from Victory Monument. Travel by van, the stop is next to Century, under BTS. (There are many stops, choose one that is convenient for you ^^) The fare from Victory Monument to Kanchanaburi Bus Terminal is 120 baht. It takes about 2 hours. // Edit: Now you can take the bus at the Southern Bus Terminal, Mo Chit Bus Terminal. At the van stop, it's not hard to find.

We left the Victory Monument at 7:20 am and arrived at Kanchanaburi Bus Terminal at 9:30 am, which took a little over two hours. Then we looked for a bus to the waterfall, which wasn't difficult. We checked the bus schedule, bought tickets for 50 baht, and had some snacks while we waited.

Buses from Kanchanaburi to Erawan Waterfall: 8:00 / 8:55 / 10:45 / 11:50 / 13:30 / 15:00 / 16:20 / 17:40

The last bus from Erawan Waterfall to Kanchanaburi departs at 5:40 PM, 6:20 PM, 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM, 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 4:30 PM.

We made it in time for the 10:45 round, so we went to grab something to eat first. Hahaha.

It's time to hit the road! From Kanchanaburi to Erawan Waterfall, it takes about 1.30 - 2.00 hours. Hmm, you can take a nap to recharge, or you can enjoy the view, listen to music, or read a book. It's up to you. As for me, I'll take in the scenery.

It only takes 2 hours to get there. When you arrive at the park entrance, there will be an officer to collect the park entrance fee. Thai people 100 baht, student card half price ^^

We've arrived! What should we do? If it's a one-day trip, we can grab something to eat and get started right away. But we want to soak in the water for a long time, so we need to check in to our accommodation first. Let's rent a tent! Walk straight ahead and you'll see this building. You can check in there. A 3-person tent costs 225 baht, a 2-person tent costs 150 baht, and there are also sleeping bags, pillows, and sleeping mats for rent. (There are new, larger tents available now.)

Then follow the signs to the campsite. Go to the reception to get your bedding. Then the staff will take you to the campsite. The tents are already set up for you. Choose the one you like. The view is really amazing.

..... Everything is ready, are you ready to soak in the water? If you are ready, let's go!

..... Erawan Waterfall has 7 levels. I will take you to see what each level is like. I will not arrange them in the order I went, but I will show them from level 1 to level 7.

Starting from the entrance, we need to walk another 500 meters to reach the first level of the waterfall. If you're feeling lazy, there are golf carts available for 30 baht for adults and 10 baht for children, if I remember correctly.

Tier 1 Waterfall: Returning to the Nest

This waterfall isn't very beautiful yet, but you can still play in the water. We already did, haha. There's a canteen selling food and there are benches where you can sit and eat by the waterfall.

This was taken from near the restaurant.

This is a great place to play in the water. Go early in the morning when the water is very clear. The reason I stayed overnight was because I wanted to go in the morning before the tourists arrived.

Waterfall Level 2, Wang Matsa

This level is a large pool with fish swimming around. There is also a waterfall curtain. (It will be more beautiful when there is more water) Most tourists stop to play in the water at this level. However, there are some deep water areas, so be careful.

After we had enough fun playing in the water, let's move on to the 3rd floor. Please note that food and drinks are not allowed on this floor. If you wish to bring them up, you will need to place a deposit for the water bottles and collect it when you come down. Just return the bottles and get your money back. ^^

Waterfall Level 3 Pha Waterfall

We didn't stop to play in the water on this floor because no one else did. I'm not sure why, haha. But I think most people went straight to the 4th floor. Anyway, I took some pictures for you to see.

Let's take a short break. We'll have to climb the mountain soon. Take a few breaths. Let's see what's on the 4th floor. From the 3rd to the 4th floor, we'll have to walk a bit. The path is quite steep, but it's easy to walk. The park has stairs ready for us. Let's walk slowly. ^^

Waterfall Level 4: Nang Phi Sua Waterfall

This waterfall layer is shaped like the chest of a sea butterfly, hence the name. This layer is quite deep, so you need to be able to swim for safety. This 4th layer has an activity to play, which is playing Slider. Haha, how is it? Let's go see it.

Okay, let's continue to the 5th floor. After this, the path will become steeper and more difficult to walk. You may need to climb a little, but it's not too difficult.

Waterfall Level 5, Bored, Not Going Down

As the name suggests, we spent a long time playing in the water on the 5th floor. We were so reluctant to leave, probably because we were tired from walking and the cool water was so refreshing. We really didn't want to leave. The water on this floor is not deep, so you can play all the time. The fish nibbled on us, which was quite ticklish! 555

Besides playing in the water, the 5th floor also has a water boxing ring. 555

After we had our fill of playing in the water on the 5th floor, we continued walking. The path gradually became steeper, and we came to a fork in the road leading to the 6th and 7th floors. Hmm, we can go to the 6th floor first. It's just a short walk, but there's nothing there. I recommend going to the 7th floor directly. The highlight is there.

Turn left to go to the 7th floor, turn right to go to the 6th floor.

Waterfall Level 6, Dong Phrueksa

Let's continue to the 7th floor. This floor requires the most walking. Just keep walking up and up. It's a bit difficult, but luckily it's the dry season. So we don't have to walk through the water to get there. We have to climb stairs in three or four places. Easy peasy! (high-pitched voice)

After a long and tiring climb, reaching the 7th floor felt like reaching heaven. I had to wake up early to take pictures before the crowds arrived. Let's go see it!

Floor 7, Erawan Cliff

Alright, you're the champion! So proud of you. 55

This is a copy. "Erawan Waterfall is especially beautiful because the water is clear blue, like a swimming pool. This is because the water comes from limestone mountains, which are high in calcium carbonate." How about it? Let's go see it.

This color is really not a joke. Come and see for yourself. You can play in the water. The water is very cold.

We can climb up here too. Be careful not to slip.

After having fun playing in the water, we walked down to collect our belongings, return the borrowed items, take a shower, and walk out to eat. We waited for the bus to return. I returned in the afternoon, arriving in Kanchanaburi around 4 pm and arriving in Bangkok around 7 pm.

I'll break down the budget for you later ^^ In addition to playing in beautiful waterfalls, there are also beautiful views from the tent site. Just stepping out of the tent is a pleasure.

This is the morning.
