Hello, I'm a freelance travel enthusiast who loves one-day round trips. Most of the time, these trips happen when I see someone post pictures of beautiful places, and I immediately follow suit. But it's not easy, you know. Today, I'm traveling to a place that I've seen many times on popular travel pages but have never seen with my own eyes. The Political and Military School at Phu Hin Rong Kla has inspired me to visit. In reality, seeing the maple leaves change color or fall to the ground might seem ordinary to many people. But for a photographer, capturing something that happens only once a year is something that will pull you in.

Within the Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park, there are several spots to admire the changing colors of the maple leaves. However, on this trip, I was only able to visit one spot. In reality, the different spots are not far apart from each other. However, due to my limited time, I missed out on visiting many other places.

Follow my travel page https://www.facebook.com/wanderaroundthailand/Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park is located on the border of three provinces: Dan Sai District, Loei Province, Nakhon Thai District, Phitsanulok Province, and Lom Sak District, Phetchabun Province. Friends can travel here in 2 ways: up from Phu Thap Boek and from Nakhon Thai District. In this trip, I went up from Phu Thap Boek. It's a bit difficult to climb, but you can see beautiful views along the way. The distance from the toll booth to the park is about 21 km. Before reaching the maple viewing point at the Political and Military School 2 km away, you will find a 3-way intersection. If you turn right, you will go to Rong Kla Village and Phu Lom Lo. But if you turn left, you will come to the park office. I apologize that I didn't take a picture of the three-way intersection. T-T

Upon arrival, you can find street parking and walk about 60 meters to find two large maple trees and one small one. There is also a small hut that used to be a soldier's shelter. Overall, the scene is quite harmonious.

If I had come here 3-4 days earlier, the maple leaves on the ground would have been more vibrant. By today, they have started to dry out and wither. Plus, today is Saturday and there are a lot of tourists, so my little maple has been trampled on a lot, so it's deteriorated quickly. Haha, but it's something that can't be helped, so I got the pictures you see here.

This place has been said to be "no need to go as far as Korea, because Thailand also has it". Looking at it, it's quite similar to following in the footsteps of a Korean drama, isn't it? Or maybe I'm just imagining it because the weather is cold and windy today, haha.^^

Oh, I forgot to apologize if anyone's picture was caught on my camera. Because actually, I like to secretly take pictures... Oops, I mean I like to candidly capture the atmosphere around me.^^

Let me tell you that today the weather is very cold and windy. My hands and feet are shaking. The camera is shaking too, so some of the pictures may be blurry. I apologize for that.

The moss-covered roof of the military barracks, with its green hue, stands out even more when the red maple leaves fall, creating a unique and beautiful sight.

As the morning progressed, the number of tourists began to increase. Of course, this is the highlight, everyone wants to come and take pictures. The atmosphere started to get lively, and the number of photo spots started to decrease^^ So my photos were filled with people here and there, haha.

I spent about an hour and a half taking pictures here. I arrived here around 11 am. As I mentioned, it was crowded today, so it took quite a while for this spot. It's a one-day trip, so I'll enjoy the nature here to the fullest before I leave. ^^

For those who are walking and taking pictures and are hungry, there is food for sale on the side of the road where we parked. Go and have a look. You will meet the most adorable vendor in the world. Haha.

Okay, it's time to head back. Hey, is that all? Did you come here just for this? Many of you might be wondering. ^^ Yes, that's all I came for. Just to see it with my own eyes, to capture it in pictures. That's enough to make me happy. Because the natural beauty in Thailand is diminishing day by day, so I wanted to see it before it might disappear in the future, like many other places I've been to. Some places are gone, some are on the verge of extinction...

If you want to experience the changing colors of the maple leaves and their fall, this week should be just in time. There are still some parts where the leaves haven't fallen yet. Even just one day is enough to live a "HipHip" life here. I recommend coming on weekdays. If you want to take pictures comfortably (if possible), Sundays might be a bit crowded with tourists, so be prepared. It's normal.
