Hello
I visited Koh Kood this past May, marking my second consecutive year exploring the Trat coastline. Last year, I had the pleasure of experiencing the beauty of nearby Koh Mak.
For this trip, I specifically came to Koh Kood to relax and unwind, without any sea activities. The resort I chose for this relaxing getaway is The Beach Natural.
Come and see what beauty I encountered during my short 3-day, 2-night vacation at this resort on Koh Kood.
Traveling to Koh Kood
As I don't drive myself, I had to rely on the Car+Boat service from Bangkok to Koh Kood with Boonsiri again (I used their service last year when I went to Koh Mak).
I left the Boonsiri office on Khao San Road at 5:30 am. On the day I went, there was a bus service. I then took a boat from Laem Sok Pier in Trat Province to Ao Salad Pier on Koh Kood. I then took a songthaew to The Beach Natural, which took me until about 1:30 pm to reach the resort.
Upon arrival, I checked in with the resort staff and then had lunch at the resort's restaurant.
The path leading into the resort
The resort's restaurant offers stunning sea views.
Let's eat first.
Accommodation at The Beach Natural
I have booked a Partial Seaview room at the resort. This is a room that is close to the Lobby and the restaurant, but not directly on the beach.
The room here is very nice. The air conditioner is cool and comfortable. So after eating a full meal and traveling tired, I will take a nap first. Then in the evening, we will go for a walk on the beach.
Oh... There is a TV in the room, but it cannot receive TV signals. If you want to watch TV, you have to borrow a DVD from the lobby or bring your own. (There is a DVD player provided.)
My room this time
The atmosphere inside the room is great.
Taking a walk on the beach in the evening
After a good rest, it's time to take a walk. The sun is already starting to set.
The atmosphere in front of my room
There is a small bridge in front of the room.
The walkway to the dining room
I finally got to experience the sandy beach in front of the resort on Koh Kood. The Beach Natural is located in Bang Bao Bay on the west side of Koh Kood. So, in the late afternoon like this, it's the perfect atmosphere to watch the sunset.
A beachside pavilion where we can relax and enjoy the view all day and night.
Or if you want to sit on a chair and enjoy the view instead, you can.
The wooden bridge is another unique feature of the resort (I took a lot of pictures here).
The sun was setting, and the light was getting weaker.
My favorite time
My favorite time to visit the beach on this trip is the time before and during sunset.
Although during that time we may not see the clear blue of the sea and sky, we will instead get this classic atmosphere. Let's enjoy the atmosphere of a good time before going to dinner.
A rock formation that looks very ordinary during the day, but becomes beautifully interesting in the evening.
The pavilion in The Beach Natural is really inviting to sit in during this kind of atmosphere.
Walking away from the front of the resort to the left, you will find a kayak parked peacefully in front of To The Sea Resort.
The sandy curve of Bang Baeo Bay, in front of Siam Beach Resort.
(There are 3-4 resorts nearby in this area. You can walk to each other.)
Wooden Bridge...Another Charm on Koh Kood
Last year, I came across a charming wooden bridge at Koh Mak Coco Cape. It was a photographer's dream, with endless opportunities for stunning shots.
This year, I also visited Koh Kood in Trat province. I came across a charming wooden bridge in front of Siam Beach Resort, which was perfect for taking photos. In the evenings, large boats would anchor near the bridge, making it even more interesting.
The wooden bridge in front of Siam Beach Resort is what I think is the most charming spot for taking photos in this area.
The boats that come to dock in the evening create a different atmosphere than a regular wooden bridge.
The sun is setting on another day.
Farewell to the last light of the first day
Those who have truly watched the sun set know that time passes very quickly during that moment.
Although the clouds were a bit thick today, we were not disappointed with the sunset that we had been waiting for all day.
The sun hid behind the clouds for a moment.
The sun, like a red egg yolk, rose into view, just as someone was jumping into the water to play.
The sun had already set below the horizon, and I had just walked back to the wooden bridge in front of The Beach Natural.
I really love moments like this when I find beautiful light and a stunning sky.
Looking back at the resort, the restaurant lights are on, calling us to dinner.
Dinner at the resort
In fact, I had all my meals at The Beach Natural, where I was staying.
For this trip, I didn't buy a package deal. I only booked the room, so I'm choosing and paying for my own meals.
For this meal, we ordered 3 dishes, which were all very delicious. The food at the resort was amazing, and we enjoyed every meal.
As night falls, let's come out and admire the Thai aurora (actually, it's the light from the squid fishing boats of the fishermen).
The sky after the rain is always clear.
This morning when I woke up, it was raining. I think it must have been raining since last night.
So I didn't take any pictures in the morning. I went out to eat breakfast at the resort and then lay down to play in the pavilion by the sea. But in the late morning, the rain stopped and the sky cleared immediately. I was very lucky to have encountered such good weather.
A seaside pavilion where I lay down to wait for the rain to stop, and then the sky cleared immediately.
Besides the clear sky, the sea is also clear.
The beach chairs look very comfortable, but the sun is also very strong.

The Beach Natural Wooden Bridge
Let's take a look at the atmosphere on the wooden bridge in front of the resort.
The sky is clear, the sea is beautiful, it's really tempting to jump in and play.
Here, they have a natural Aquatium where you can watch schools of fish below.
After walking in the hot sun, we decided to take a break at the pavilion by the sea. We'll continue our walk to see the beach of the resort next door later.
The beach in front of To The Sea Resort
It's just a short walk to To The Sea Resort, as the two resorts share a wall and the beach.
This gave me the opportunity to take a few photos of the front of To The Sea.
The atmosphere inside To The Sea Resort
This place also has a swimming pool. It looks really fun to play in.

The crystal-clear seawater allows you to see the bottom clearly.
Come back to rest and eat lunch
After taking photos until I was satisfied, I walked back to The Beach Natural Resort to rest and have lunch.
I ordered a simple one-dish meal, so I didn't take any pictures. Instead, let's take a look at the atmosphere in the dining room.
The sky exploded after the sun went down.
I went out for another walk after the sun had set, which was also the time when the sun was about to set below the horizon for another day.
The walking area is around the same place, in front of the beach near the resort.
The evening sun before it sets over the horizon
Many people are sitting on the beach watching the sunset at this time.
Today, I was lucky enough to witness a beautiful sunset, with the sky exploding in vibrant colors as the sun dipped below the horizon.
The path back to the resort passes through the bridge in front of To The Sea Resort, which is lit up with lights, making it look even more beautiful.
BBQ Dinner
For dinner tonight, I'm still relying on the resort's restaurant as usual.
The Beach Natural also offers a barbecue option in addition to the dishes available on the menu.
They have pre-set menus to choose from, or you can select fresh ingredients from the barbecue counter and have them prepare it for you.
I ordered a set for 2 people for this meal. It was delicious and filling.
Fresh seafood to choose from
There are also pork and chicken dishes available.
The staff will grill the food we choose right there.
The set I ordered is for dinner.
Farewell to Koh Kood at Dawn
The next morning was the day I had to say goodbye to Koh Kood and return to Bangkok.
This morning, I woke up very early to watch the sunrise by the sea. Even though I already knew that the sun rises on the opposite side of the resort where I am staying.
Koh Kood is a stunning island in the Gulf of Thailand. I must admit that I am particularly fond of the vibrant colors of the sky and sea in this region.
From my experience visiting the islands of Trat Sea for two consecutive years, there has never been a time when I was truly disappointed.
Ripple marks on the beach during low tide in the early morning
The sun began to cast two golden rays of light on the other side of the island.
Crystal clear water, never gets boring, a sight for sore eyes on Koh Kood.
This concludes our tour of Koh Kood. Thank you to everyone who followed along.
See you again on the next trip....
