Today, I would like to recommend a beachfront accommodation that is perfect for a quick bite, a stroll on the beach, and an overnight stay.
Na Jomtien, a short drive beyond Pattaya. Just past the Thai Alangkarn Theater, before reaching the Ambassador Hotel 800 meters, turn around and enter this alley, Na Jomtien Soi 10. Go down the short alley to the end, where it meets the sea... Na Jomtien's golden sandy beach, Pattaya. You will find a cozy restaurant, a restaurant with cool accommodation with a great atmosphere by the beach.

With a golden sand beach atmosphere, a private beach with a dining area in front of the beach, The Glass House.
The Glass House, a prominent landmark, is likely the origin of the name. It's not quite a restaurant, nor a hotel. The restaurant has been around for a while and is well-known, while the hotel seems to be a more recent addition. Notably, many people don't realize that there's accommodation available here.

Let's take a look at the restaurant first.
The Glass House Beachfront Restaurant & Bar
The atmosphere of the lower zone The shop is very inviting. It is beautifully decorated, luxurious and looks good. It is located on a wide, flat beach that stretches for kilometers. The shop has both air-conditioned rooms, open-air rooms, under-eaves zones and zones on the sand floor.
The upper floor of this two-story restaurant (actually, there's also a basement for wine storage) has a stepped amphitheater design that offers sea views through the pine trees. This design ensures that both indoor and outdoor tables have equal views, like sitting in a large movie theater with spacious sweet seats. Choose between the lower or upper floor as you please, but I mostly see people sitting on the lower floor under the eaves and the upper floor on the sandy ground.
This is a beachfront restaurant serving Thai and seafood dishes. The menu is extensive.
For the food, we only ordered a few dishes, specifically those that were highly recommended and our favorites. These included soft-shell crab, creamy tom yum soup with prawns, stir-fried squid with garlic, and mieng pla kapong (betel leaf wraps with sea bass).
Favorite desserts include chocolate fondue.
How delicious it is, you have to come and try it yourself. For me, the taste I tasted was not disappointed. It is another very comfortable restaurant. Another thing that confirms the taste of the food is the number of customers. That is, whenever I come during the time when the sun is down and the wind is falling, I will see customers coming in one after another. I myself have come to eat here two or three times.
Walking on the beach
After a delicious meal, it's time to relax and take a walk to digest. This place is perfect for those who love to stroll along the beach and enjoy a meal by the sea. After finishing your meal, you can walk down to the beach and continue your walk, or you can eat and walk at the same time. Choose a seat by the beach, facing west. As the sun sets, you can enjoy your meal while watching the sunset. If the weather is clear, with no rain or clouds, you're sure to catch a glimpse of the sun setting over the horizon.
Strike a pose before heading out
I'm here now, shouting to the water and the sky.
The atmosphere is even cooler and more romantic.

Every time I come here, I never miss a chance to have a beer. Personally, I'm a big fan of beer, especially here. Besides the relaxing atmosphere, the beers served are huge. There are only two brands of imported beer, and they are served in glasses that match the brand. The glasses are the kind that you pour the whole bottle into at once.
My favorite thing is that I can drink as much as I want and not have to drive. I can just sleep right there at the shop. The Glass House has also recently opened a lodging service in addition to its food service.

The Journey Beach Resort
It is a small resort located before reaching the front of the shop.
This is a pool villa-style accommodation with only 8 units available (with units 1 and 2 combined as a connection room).
There are no walls separating the houses, and they are all designed to be surrounded by the same pool. When you open the gate of the house, you will find a small bridge leading to each house.
The eight houses are staggered in front of the house, not in a straight line, giving a sense of privacy.
The origin of the cool name "The Journey" with a meaning related to travel is likely inspired by these great world travelers:
It seems that the names of the eight houses and the seven great travelers were used as the names of the houses (the first and second houses were named after Marco Polo, who conquered the Silk Road, and the rest were named after
Tom Sawyer, the adventurous protagonist of Mark Twain's renowned novel.
Lemuel Galliver, better known as Gulliver's Travels, who traveled to the land of the dwarfs.
James Cook, the explorer who discovered Australia, New Zealand, and the Hawaiian Islands.
Christopher Columbus, explorer and navigator, who discovered the American continent.
Robinson Crusoe, the famous novel by Daniel Defoe, is an adventure story set in a magical land.
Indiana Jones, the adventurous fortune hunter from George Lucas' epic Raiders of the Lost Ark.
7 people in this picture are real people, 3 are fictional characters from novels, and 4 are fictional characters. Who is who? I made the picture from movie stills to make it more exciting and thrilling according to my personal preference. Hehe. As for the latter, I won't go into details about what they are called.
I'm not sure if the names Marco, Polo, Sawyer, Galliver, Cook, Columbus, Crusoe, and Indiana are in the correct order.

The angled roof opens up the interior ceiling space, creating a sense of spaciousness and airiness.
The backyard is an open-air bathing area with a waterfall-like stone floor.
A large waterfall shower, which is great for a refreshing shower, but unfortunately there are no small showers. So when I want to take a shower without washing my hair or getting my hair wet, I have to cover my hair. So I complained to the staff a bit. It turned out that they are preparing to install it. Next time I come, I'm sure there will be both waterfall showers and showerheads.
The open-air bathroom zone is very spacious, covering several square meters. The shower area can be closed with a curtain for those who are shy.
The entire resort is covered in lush greenery. What I particularly enjoy when looking up at the sky is observing the leaves growing in circles, as shown in the picture. It's beautiful, and I love it. I don't know what kind of tree it is.
The bridge that stretches from the gate fence to the house is made of wooden planks arranged in an uneven pattern, creating a natural and visually pleasing effect.
After receiving the key, the staff took me to open the house and introduced how to use the room. Then they explained the items in the minibar.
The refrigerator is open and there are 4 bottles of drinking water .. Free
2 boxes of fruit juice .. Free
Tea, coffee .. Free
4-5 bags of snacks .. Free
The rest is charged, but there is only one price chart like 7-Eleven. It's amazing, I really like it. To be honest, all the beers in the fridge are finished. Normally, I have to buy them from 7-Eleven. I don't have to carry them here anymore.
The room has dimmable lights. The wardrobe opens to reveal an umbrella, slippers, and two extra pillows.
The room is very high as I mentioned earlier, with a pleated fabric ceiling and a chandelier designed with animal motifs.
And the air conditioner is very large.
This picture is taken in front of house number 4, looking back at house number 3 (which is connected to house number 1 via a connection room).
The front of each house has a wide terrace with a set of chairs and sheer white curtains.
This picture is standing in front of the original house, number 4. Looking past numbers 5, 6, 7, and 8, which are next to each other in a staggered fashion.
Each house has the same area, except for houses 1+2. The difference is that houses 2 and 3 are further apart than the others, increasing the area of the pool until it is spacious.
This picture is taken in front of house number 3, looking towards house number 4. Both houses 3 and 4 have the best views and the widest pool.
The pool here is not designed for swimming. It's shallow, so you can't swim laps, but you can wade in and play. It's also a good place for young children to splash around and have fun.
The 8 villas are divided into 4 king-size bed rooms and 4 twin bed rooms.
The normal room rate is 8,250 baht. During this promotion, the price is reduced to 3,500 baht from Monday to Thursday. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the price is 3,950 baht (this price is for rooms 3-8).
For room 1+2, 2 bedrooms, can accommodate 4 adults, the normal price is 12,000 baht, now it is 5,000 baht. On Saturdays and Sundays, it is 5,450 baht.
I started the day with a comforting breakfast of rice porridge, which I ordered to be delivered to my home. Growing up, my mother often made this dish for me, and finding it available here brought back fond memories.
The Journey Beach Resort: A Hidden Gem by the Sea
Many people intentionally travel to The Glass House to find a beachfront restaurant with a great atmosphere and delicious food. However, many others don't realize that this same location also houses a charming and cozy resort, The Journey Beach Resort.
This small resort, designed in the style of a pool villa, offers a perfect getaway for those seeking delicious food, a popular restaurant, a relaxing stroll on the beach, and a comfortable place to rest at the end of the day.
So, if you're looking for a place to stop and enjoy a delicious meal, a beautiful beach, and a comfortable stay, The Journey Beach Resort is the perfect hidden gem for you.
Thank you all for watching. See you again in the next review.
