Hello!! Let's go to Sa Kaeo::
If you had to choose the province you most want to visit, Sa Kaeo probably wouldn't be high on the list.
But if you're thinking of a place to see butterflies, many people would think of Pang Sida National Park in Sa Kaeo Province.

:: Sa Kaeo Province is a province in the eastern region of Thailand. Before, I always thought it was in the northeastern region. Where is it located? How do I get there? So I came to ask Google. Oh, it's in the eastern region, more than 200 kilometers from Bangkok (but I traveled from Sukhothai to Sa Kaeo).

:: This trip started from a conversation with my brother on Facebook about Bromo, where we were looking for a good time to go. But how come!! We ended up in Sa Kaeo instead.
Okay! Brother, Sa Kaeo, Saturday-Sunday, this is a good time to stop, haha. This trip started from a short conversation like this (we are really easygoing) ::

:: Before embarking on our journey, we prepared ourselves in the same way we would for any other trip, researching tourist attractions, transportation options, and so on. This was especially important given our limited time of two days and one night. ::

:: Okay, I have tourist attractions. There are Prasat Sdok Kok Thom, Pang Sida National Park, Lalay, and .......... ::

:: This trip, we started at the main city pillar shrine of Sa Kaeo, praying for the sky to open up and the rain not to fall, because at that time it was very, very cloudy. ::

:: After paying respects at the city pillar shrine, we continued our journey, with our first destination being Prasat Sdok Kok Thom. ::

:: Prasat Sdok Kok Thom is located approximately 80 kilometers from Sa Kaeo town. It is an important ancient site of Sa Kaeo province. It is believed to have been built in the 14th Buddhist century to enshrine religious images according to Hindu beliefs. The word "Sdok Kok Thom" means "a city with reeds growing in a large swamp", which can still be seen near the castle today.

:: The pond or baray in front of the castle entrance when there is no water ^^::

:: Entrance to the castle ::

:: Around Prasat Sdok Kok Thom ::

:: Sandstone placed on a pedestal with letters written "Sirindhorn" ^o^ ::

:: After spending about 10.00 am at the castle, we continued our journey to the Rong Kluea Market. ::

:: The Rong Kluea Market is located about 60 km from Sa Kaeo city and 30 km from Prasat Sdok Kok Thom. The market is situated in Aranyaprathet district, Sa Kaeo province, near the Aranyaprathet-Poipet border checkpoint in Banteay Meanchey province, Cambodia. It is considered to be the largest second-hand goods market in the country. ::

:: Capture Stunning Photos at Aranyaprathet Railway Station ::

:: 12.00 p.m. Baan Malakor Restaurant :: I was so hungry that I only ate, I didn't take any pictures of the food lol.

:: We left the Talad Rot Fai market around 3 pm and intended to head to Pang Sida National Park first. However, on the way, we passed the Tha Krabak Reservoir, and the view was so beautiful that we completely forgot about going to the viewpoint in the park to watch the sunset. ::

:: The Tha Krabak Reservoir is a large reservoir with an earthen dam 17.50 meters high and 720 meters long. The surrounding area is an open forest, located in Moo 10, Tha Yaek Subdistrict, Mueang Sa Kaeo District.

:: Taking pictures for fun, chilling out in the evening sun. ::

:: Continue to Pang Sida National Park ::

:: Pang Sida National Park covers the areas of Ta Phraya District, Wattana Nakhon District, Mueang Sa Kaeo District, and Na Di District, Prachin Buri Province. It covers an area of approximately 527,500 rai. There are many waterfalls, such as Pang Sida Waterfall, Na Tro Waterfall, and Pha Noi Waterfall. It is also the source of the Bang Pakong River and is the largest butterfly watching site in the eastern region. ::

The next morning, we woke up a little late. Originally, we had planned to meet at 5:00 AM to go up to the viewpoint, but it turned out that everyone woke up between 8 and 9 AM. As a result, we missed the opportunity to go up to the viewpoint and had to rush to contact the office to find a car to take us up to the stone plateau. The road requires a 4-wheel drive vehicle, and the distance is 7 km, taking about 30-40 minutes. The cost of the car is 1,000 baht, and the officer is 600 baht (1 car can accommodate up to 10 people).

:: There are also butterflies near the front of the checkpoint. ::

:: Butterflies near the checkpoint to the stone platform ::

:: The path to Hin Dad Lan requires a 4WD vehicle and a further 200-meter walk.::

:: There are a lot of butterflies at the stone yard. ::

We left Pang Sida National Park around 3 pm and didn't miss taking pictures with the park rangers and the park sign to show that we were here.

:: Contact number of Pang Sida National Park 081-8621511 or 037-363034

:: END ::

I apologize if my storytelling isn't very good. It might be a bit confusing to read, but I hope it will be helpful in the future for those who choose to visit Sa Kaeo Province. ^__^
