This trip happened on my birthday. I already had plans to go to Hua Hin, and I was hoping my boyfriend would surprise me with a cake, but that was just a dream. So I decided to do it myself and go have cake and tea by the sea. Where could I sit and enjoy the sea view, listen to the waves, see the sandy beach, feel the breeze, and be with my boyfriend? After doing some research, I chose The Barai. We planned to have tea and cake at The Barai this afternoon, which is part of the Hyatt Regency Hua Hin hotel.

Getting here is very easy. Drive along Khao Takiab Road, before reaching Cicada Market, turn left following the signs.

Just a short drive away, you'll find the Hyatt Regency Hua Hin hotel.

The grand entrance is amazing… I felt excited from the entrance.

Inform the security guard at the front that you are here for Afternoon tea. As soon as you get out of the car, a staff member will walk you to your table. The service is excellent.

Along the way....let's take a moment to appreciate this. I really can't help myself. It's beautiful.

Walking along the path... Honestly, if we had to walk here ourselves, we would definitely get lost, haha. The path is a bit complicated.

Today's perfect tea spot is Mcfaland House, a beachfront restaurant.

Look at the view....so chill and peaceful.

As we arrived, the sun was setting and the wind was calming down... so let's sit here. We have a clear view of the sea.

The staff then came to recommend different types of tea. You can order one per person, either iced or hot, it's up to you.

Or you can switch to coffee… while we're sitting here waiting, let's enjoy the beautiful view, okay?

The sea is so calm today. The waves are not strong even though it is the rainy season.

A moment later, the waiter brought us tea. Mine and the gentleman next to me had different flavors.

Just a moment, the dessert set will be here. Today we ordered a set for 2 people.

This means that you will get 2 pieces of each item, or if you come alone, you can order and the price will be reduced.

There are many layers, so let's explore the top floor.

The first piece I tried was similar to a canapé, with smoked salmon. The salmon had a slightly salty flavor.

The other piece is tuna. The taste is okay, well-rounded.

On the left is a cake with fresh strawberries to cut through the richness. It's so tart, it'll make your heart skip a beat.

The right hand side will be cheese... My boyfriend doesn't eat cheese, so I took care of 2 pieces myself, afraid I wouldn't get fat.

The next dish is beef puff. The staff informed us that it can be changed if you do not eat beef.

But since my girlfriend can eat it, I sacrificed it to her and she doubled it to 2 pieces.

We've had enough snacks, let's take a break and have some tea.

Next, let's move on to something sweet and delicious... similar to chocolate balls, but made with green tea and sprinkled with matcha powder.

It smells good of green tea, but it's also quite sweet...

Next up is the chocolate gang, a set of 3 pieces. Since we're at it... there are chocolate balls, brownies,

Eating snacks, sipping tea, sitting and chatting, enjoying the sea breeze... It's a kind of happiness, isn't it?

After all the sweetness, let's end with this cup to cut through the richness. The bottom will be like yogurt.

Topped with sour fruits .... Zesty!

We talked and sipped tea for over an hour, almost two hours. It's time to go now.

Let me capture a photo with a beautiful angle at The Barai... This is one of the hotels I really want to stay at.

Look at their pool... it's so natural. The purple walls and the black pool are so cool.

Let's take a peek at the coolest spa in Hua Hin. Just the entrance is enough to melt your heart. It's so beautiful.

This is the end of my trip to The Barai. I hope to come back and stay here again someday.

Let me summarize briefly. The set we had was an afternoon tea set with snacks for 2 people.
The price is 599++ and the opening hours are different on weekdays and weekends.
It's a good idea to call ahead before you go.
- Atmosphere: Great, by the sea, good service 5/5
- Price: Considering the view, it's good value for money 4/5
- Taste of snacks and desserts: We think it's average, the taste is okay, but not delicious 3.5/5

I hope this review is helpful to you.
