Greetings, travelers and tourists! This trip is a continuation of my Facebook post from earlier this year, when I was feeling overwhelmed with schoolwork and needed a break. I recently finished reviewing Phu Soi Dao (stay tuned!), so I thought I'd share another trip I took to Bang Saen earlier this year. This was a short getaway to unwind after a long week of work and studies. If you're ready, let's embark on this journey together!

#Bang Sare, a fishing village that I had the opportunity to visit, is located in Sattahip District, Chonburi Province. It is considered a short trip from Bangkok, making it a perfect getaway for a weekend break. To get there, you can take a van from Bang Na intersection on the "Bang Na-Sattahip" route and get off at Bang Sare (if you are afraid of getting lost, tell the driver to stop at Bang Sare). However, once you get off the van, you are not yet at the beach. You can take a motorcycle taxi from there to the beach or to your booked accommodation for no more than 20 baht.

The total cost of the trip was 1500 baht.

  • Accommodation fee for 1 night is 1000 Baht.

- Roundtrip transportation fee: 280 baht.

- Food cost 160 baht

  • Motorcycle taxi fare from the van stop to the accommodation and from the accommodation to the van stop to return to Bang Na is 40 baht.

The remaining change was 20 baht.

For those who want to keep their budget under 1,000 baht, a round trip can be done for around 500-700 baht if traveling alone. However, if traveling with a group, 500 baht is sufficient as the cost of food can be shared among friends.

…These are just a few of the many angles we captured…

"If you have the chance, you should try it." Then you will be happy with the place called "Bang Sare."

Escaping Bangkok: A City Break

This phrase translates to "Escaping Bangkok: A City Break" in English. It suggests a trip away from the hustle and bustle of the city, offering a chance to relax and recharge.

*Ready, set, go!...

1. This image depicts the "Bang Sare Beach" sign located at the beachfront. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, and the beach was moderately crowded with both Thai and international tourists. Due to its location south of Pattaya, Bang Sare Beach receives fewer visitors, making it a more private and peaceful destination ideal for escaping the hustle and bustle. Note: I would have liked to take a picture of myself, but I came alone.

2. Accommodation Review

The accommodation we stayed in cost 1,000 baht per night for a one-night stay, which we found to be reasonable for the price. The room was equipped with amenities such as a refrigerator, water heater, TV, air conditioning, coffee, Ovaltine, complimentary hot and cold water in the refrigerator, and free bicycle and motorbike rentals for exploring the area. The owner and staff were very friendly and attentive, ensuring a truly enjoyable experience.

Ao Thai Bang Sare Resort: Book Online and Enjoy On-Site Dining

Ao Thai Bang Sare Resort offers online booking for your convenience. The resort provides on-site dining options, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The beach at Bang Sare is truly beautiful, with tourists enjoying the water. This photo was taken in the late afternoon, and the sand is quite fine.

4. The beach was crowded with tourists and their families enjoying the water and strolling along the shore, as it was a weekend.

5. The fine sand and crystal-clear seawater are truly refreshing. The sand here is also very fine, and just a light touch is enough to lift my spirits.

6. The sensation of sand and seawater against your feet is incredibly relaxing. Traveling alone offers a unique perspective, but it can also be strangely lonely. 🙎

7. The light reflecting on the water at the beach is so amazing. I love this kind of atmosphere, it allows me to reflect on many things.

8. Tourists flocked to Bangsaen with their families to relax and unwind during the weekend, creating a heartwarming atmosphere. The secluded location makes Bangsaen an ideal destination for families seeking privacy.

I hope this is helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions.

9. Keep fighting, tell yourself. The advantage of traveling alone is that you get to know yourself better. Who cares if someone dumps you or doesn't love you? As long as you love yourself, that's enough. At least you still have the strength to travel. Sometimes, the ocean and the sky can really help you.

10. The sand here is very fine, I think it's good for walking on it, it's soft on the feet. At least during the short weekend, I think it's worth it to experience this kind of atmosphere. It helps to boost your energy before going to Monday, when you have to face the hustle and bustle. 5555

11. The bicycles provided by the resort were free to use, so we made the most of them, cycling until our legs were sore!

12. Let's go explore the fishing village and see if it's as beautiful as people say, especially the view in the evening.

13. Looking for love on a banana boat ride, rich or poor, as long as your heart is true, haha. Just kidding. The banana boat looked like a lot of fun. Next time I come, I'll have to bring some friends along. It would be a blast. The evening atmosphere with the waves crashing down must have been quite chilly. (Actually, I was scared of banana boats as a kid... and I'm still a little scared now, haha, just a little bit, really.)

14. I secretly filmed the ice cream vendor. I wonder if they'll report me if they find out. It was fun to cycle and film at the same time without falling. Cycling along the beach in Bangsaen is a great way to enjoy the scenery. You can see the local way of life and the activities of tourists. It's a great way to open your eyes to the world.

15. The boat has arrived at the fishing village. The area where the fishing boats are parked has a pleasant atmosphere. I would like to try being a fisherman for once in my life. It would be fun to live a life of fishing...

16. Here in Thailand, the flags fluttering atop the ships truly hold a magical charm. I am proud to travel in Thailand.

17. A foreigner walks and talks with the fishermen, demonstrating that human connection brightens the world.

18. In the late afternoon, many people come to experience the atmosphere here. The gentle breeze and the view of fishing boats heading out to sea truly capture the essence of local life.

19. The fishing boats moored at Bang Sare reflect the way of life of the local fishermen. I wish I could be a fisherman for a day.

The fishing boats are lined up, and it seems like it's almost time for them to go fishing again. It's getting late in the evening, and they usually head out around midnight.

A cyclist's view of the mountains and the sea is truly breathtaking. Life doesn't require much; small things like these can bring immense joy.

22. As the sun sets, the fishing life begins. Fishing boats are already setting out to sea. I would love to go with them. If I have the chance, I would like to go out on a boat to fish in the sea at least once in my life.

23. The sun sets, the sun sets, the happy time is almost over, alas, I have to go back tomorrow, I have to face the heavy study and work.😢

24. The evening view is truly breathtaking. The setting sun casts a golden glow across the ocean, making me want to freeze time and stay here forever. However, tomorrow I must return to the hustle and bustle of city life.

25. Wow, so many pictures! How could I forget about the food? We chose seafood fried rice and spicy seafood salad. They may not seem like a perfect match, but I thought they were absolutely delicious. Here's a picture of the spicy seafood salad.

26. This is seafood fried rice. I was really hungry when I ordered it.

27. This is the atmosphere of the restaurant where we sat and ate. It is a mat-laying restaurant with tables placed on the beach. The atmosphere is great. Most importantly, everything on the table, including seafood fried rice, seafood papaya salad, a liter bottle of Coke, and ice, cost a total of 130 baht. I must say it's very cheap. The atmosphere is good, the food is delicious, and I must say it's great.

Ultimately, everyone has a different meaning of life. If you still have the strength, go find it. Sometimes, traveling is not just about relaxation, but it can give you much more than that. At the very least, you will learn more about yourself. And most importantly, we also get something big called "friendship".

Translation:

For a budget of 1500 baht, what you get is truly worthwhile. This includes accommodation, delicious food, beautiful surroundings, and most importantly, the opportunity to learn about the way of life and the community around you, which you may not have had the chance to experience before.

See you on the next trip!
