Have you ever asked yourself...what does our life need?

In times when we are tired and exhausted, what can alleviate those feelings the most?
Of course, everyone has a different way.

Personally, I just want a small corner of the world where I can put down those feelings of tiredness. Traveling to a place where I don't know anyone and no one knows me is the best answer for me.

This trip was a road trip from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. We went for 5 days during the Buddhist Lent period.
It took us 2 days to drive there, so we had 3 days to relax. The main places we visited were " Baan Rabeang Dao " and " Mae Kampong ".
I'll write about Mae Kampong in another post.

I almost forgot about the moments I wanted to share. Haha.

Let's start on Sunday morning, July 17th... Today, we'll be taking it slow on the mountaintop to recharge our batteries.
Heading straight to Doi Luang Chiang Dao!

After passing through the curves, narrow and steep roads for a while, we finally arrived at Baan Rabiaw Dao. The view in front of us, combined with the cool atmosphere, was simply indescribable.

The cool breeze gently brushed against our faces, making us want to just lie down and relax.

After getting off the car, we carried our luggage and checked in to the hotel. We had booked a room at Baan Rabiaw Dao two months in advance. It was already difficult to get through on the phone, but finding a vacant room was even harder. Haha. However, there are now many more accommodations to choose from.

The accommodation fee at Baan Rabeang Dao is 500 baht per person, including two meals. Contact numbers: 089-9980712, 089-9030083.

The protagonist of this place... the one who keeps adding fuel to the fire. Hehe. Even though there's barely any phone signal, my phone battery is about to die from taking photos. Oops.

Notes:

  • The original text is in Thai and uses informal language.
  • The translation aims to capture the meaning and tone of the original text while using more formal language.
  • The phrase "พระเอกของที่นี่" is translated as "the protagonist of this place" to convey the sense that the person being referred to is the main character or focus of attention.
  • The phrase "ตัวคอยใส่ไฟ" is translated as "the one who keeps adding fuel to the fire" to capture the sense that the person is making things worse or more exciting.
  • The phrase "อิอิ" is an informal Thai expression that is similar to "hehe" in English. It is omitted in the translation to maintain a more formal tone.
  • The phrase "ถึงสัญญาณโทรศัพท์ไม่ค่อยมี แบตมือถือก็หมดได้เพราะถ่ายรูป แห่ะๆ" is translated as "Even though there's barely any phone signal, my phone battery is about to die from taking photos. Oops." This captures the sense that the speaker is having trouble using their phone due to the lack of signal and the fact that they have been taking a lot of photos.

Our humble abode for the night: a simple dwelling, nestled in a tranquil setting.

No electricity, no phone signal, just the cool night air. Forget about hot showers – the only illumination comes from solar-powered lights. But after a refreshing dip, we're ready to explore the surroundings.

The sun is setting soon, so I'm going to find a phone signal to upload a couple of photos to show off to my friends.

This angle... the angle of a tiny signal 555+++

Dinner time! After uploading the photos, it's time for dinner. What are you waiting for? Let's go!

Stir-fried vegetables, clear soup, omelet, hot rice... The best part is the spicy chili paste. I loved it so much that I had to buy some to take home. 555+++ It's as spicy as its name suggests, and it went perfectly with this meal.
