Khao Yai, Pattaya, and Hua Hin are often the first places that come to mind when people want to relax during the weekend. This is because they are not far from Bangkok and offer a wide variety of amenities and activities.
The Sea-Cret Hua Hin: A Relaxing Getaway
This trip takes you to a tranquil, mid-sized hotel where you can unwind and enjoy a luxurious stay. Dive into the refreshing swimming pool, soak in the comfort of your private jacuzzi (available in most rooms), and indulge in a delectable seafood buffet in the evening. The Sea-Cret Hua Hin offers a perfect 2-day, 1-night escape, allowing you to fully relax without ever leaving the premises.

The Sea-Cret Hua Hin is located in Soi Hua Hin 75/2, approximately 200 km from Bangkok. When driving from Bangkok, pass Hua Hin Market and observe the right side. You will see Market Village. Upon seeing Market Village, slow down and pay close attention to the street names on the left. After a short distance, you will see Soi Hua Hin 75/2. A hotel sign will be located at the entrance of the alley. However, due to the small size of the alley, you may not notice it and drive past it. Therefore, I recommend driving slowly and paying close attention.
The alley I mentioned is very small, about the size of the one in the picture. It's a one-lane alley where cars can't pass each other. However, the alley is so short that you won't even have time to hold your breath before you're out of it. The hotel also has staff who are always on hand to help with entering and exiting the alley, so there's no problem with cars coming and going.

Upon entering the alley, you will encounter a parking lot capable of accommodating approximately 30 vehicles. Based on my observation, there are 15 covered parking spaces and 15 uncovered spaces. Considering The Sea-Cret's 42 rooms, the parking capacity appears adequate. I believe the hotel has additional parking arrangements for emergencies.
Note: There are two hotels in Hua Hin named The Sea-Cret. The first one is called The Sea-Cret Garden Hua Hin, which is located closer to Bangkok. The second one is simply called The Sea-Cret, which is the hotel I will be reviewing in this article.

Upon parking our car, my wife and I made our way to the lobby. The open-air lobby was beautifully decorated in pink tones and featured a giant, eye-catching, and somewhat mischievous doll.

The Lobby Bathroom: A Splash of Color and Graphic Design
This is the lobby bathroom, where the vibrant colors and graphic design make a bold statement. The hotel has a knack for using color on its walls, and this bathroom is no exception. In fact, there are a couple of other spots in the hotel where the use of color really caught my eye. If you have the chance to stay here, be sure to keep an eye out for these colorful surprises!

After completing the registration process and providing all necessary information, the staff escorted me to my room. The hotel's check-in and check-out policies are as follows:
Check-in: 2:00 PM.
Check out time: 12:00 PM.
During check-in, the staff will serve you a welcome drink. On the day I visited, it was pineapple juice, which was delicious.

The Sea-Cret Huahin: A Tranquil Oasis with 42 Rooms
The Sea-Cret Huahin boasts a total of 42 rooms, divided into two distinct zones. The first zone, aptly named Garden View, comprises 7 rooms: 4 Deluxe Garden View rooms measuring 30 sqm each and 3 Deluxe Garden View with Jacuzzi rooms, also measuring 30 sqm each.
The building will look like this. It is a 2-story building located a short distance from the swimming pool. However, it has the advantage of being more peaceful and having a more lush atmosphere. The walkway is decorated with lush green trees, and most importantly, it is also cheaper.

The other zone where my wife and I stayed is located next to the swimming pool. There are a total of 35 rooms in this zone, arranged in a U-shape. All rooms have a view of the beautiful swimming pool. The rooms on the first floor have direct access to the pool, making it very convenient and enjoyable. Families with children who enjoy swimming would likely appreciate this feature.

This zone's 35 rooms will be divided as follows:
Note: The original text is empty, so the translation is also empty.
- Deluxe Jacuzzi (40 sqm) x 24 units
- Deluxe Poolside: 40 sqm, 7 rooms available.
- 80 sqm Jacuzzi Suite, 1 room
- 3 Poolside Suites, each measuring 80 sqm
Rooms with "Pooldise" in their name are located on the 1st floor, offering direct access to the swimming pool and a connected jacuzzi. Rooms with "Jacuzzi" in their name are situated on the 2nd and 3rd floors, each featuring a private jacuzzi on the balcony. This building provides a truly relaxing experience, allowing guests to enjoy swimming and soaking in the jacuzzi at their leisure.

Okay, let's take a look at the Deluxe Jacuzzi room where I stayed. My room was located on the second floor, in the middle of the U-shaped building. Oh, and this hotel doesn't have an elevator. However, with only three floors and helpful staff to carry your luggage, I think the stairs are manageable. It's a good way to get some exercise!

The key system here is a key-operated system. When you close the door to leave the room, it will not automatically lock. You must turn the key to lock it yourself. This is very important! Do not forget.

Upon entering the room, one is greeted by a spacious layout reminiscent of a typical hotel room. The bathroom is situated on one side, with the wardrobe directly opposite. The sleeping area and balcony complete the layout.
Is there anything else I can help you with?
The overall decoration of the room is beautiful, with a mix of wood and pink, which is my favorite color. The bed is not only soft and comfortable, but also has a soft black border around three sides, which can be used as a sofa.

The room is well-equipped with amenities, including a TV, refrigerator, electric kettle, tea, coffee, and a DVD player. Guests can borrow DVD discs from the lobby. The refrigerator is stocked with four bottles of complimentary water. Additionally, a welcome fruit platter is provided, chilled and ready to enjoy. These thoughtful touches create a truly impressive experience.

The writer returns to the bedroom, noting the presence of four soft and comfortable pillows. They express a desire to take the pillows home due to their exceptional comfort. A stuffed animal resembling the large creature seen earlier is situated near the headboard.
This plush doll serves as a symbol to indicate the need for a change of bedsheets. By moving the doll from the headboard to the bed, the housekeeper will understand and proceed with changing the sheets. I find this to be a rather ingenious approach.

The Bathroom
The bathroom is spacious and well-equipped, with a clear separation between the wet and dry areas. The wet area, where the shower is located, features both a regular showerhead and a rain shower. The toilet area is equipped with a bidet spray.
The bathroom amenities were impressive, with large bottles of toiletries provided. The bathroom also has a unique feature: it can be opened up to the bedroom, creating a "sexy bathroom" with a transparent plastic barrier to prevent water from splashing into the bedroom. This innovative design earned the bathroom a perfect score of 10 from me!

This bathroom features towel hooks like this. Guests staying multiple nights who do not require fresh towels can hang their used towels on these hooks.

Opposite the bathroom door is a large wardrobe that can hold dozens of clothes. Inside the wardrobe, there are many amenities, including a safe, hairdryer, bathrobe, beach towel, bathrobe, umbrella, and slippers. The hairdryer is in a black bag on top. I think the color of the slippers is very beautiful. ><

Alright, let's head out to the balcony now. The balcony is quite spacious and has a seating area for relaxing while enjoying the view. From my room, I have a view of the swimming pool like this.

The room also provides a small foldable drying rack, which is conveniently located near the balcony door. This is perfect for drying swimsuits, preventing them from dripping and drying quickly.

Every room on the second and third floors has a jacuzzi on the balcony, which is quite large and can comfortably accommodate two people. The shell curtain can be tied up and stored away if desired. Notably, the jacuzzi has a window that opens into the bedroom, making it an exceptional feature.

As for me, since I didn't know the hotel sold bubble bath, I read reviews online and found people recommending this type. So, I stopped by a store on my way there and found a buy-one-get-one-free promotion, so I ended up with two bottles. However, since I had never used it before, I poured in too much. The result? I was surrounded by bubbles! I had to wait for the bubbles to subside before I could even think about soaking in the bath. Otherwise, I would have been completely submerged in a mountain of foam. T___T

Alright, now that we've explored the room thoroughly, let's head to another interesting area: the sea!
The hotel is not directly adjacent to the sea, but there is a walkway connecting it to the beach. The walk is short, taking only 3 minutes from the building I was staying in. Along the way, you will pass through the hotel's garden, which has pavilions, swings, and hammocks. So, if it takes you longer than 3 minutes to reach the beach, it's probably because you're taking photos! Haha.
Note: Some of the images in this series may appear distorted due to their origin as mobile phone captures. I experimented with using this particular phone to take black and white photographs to observe the results.

Following the signs for a short while, we arrived at the beach. The beach in this area is as beautiful as any other beach in Hua Hin. However, the advantage of this beach is that it is relatively uncrowded and quiet.

For those who don't enjoy swimming in the sea or even in the pool, there's still something special at this hotel that might alleviate your boredom: Pokéstops. There's one Pokéstop located in the lobby, with its range extending all the way to the guest rooms. I personally enjoyed spinning the Pokéstop while relaxing in my room. For those who are already high-level and don't need more items or EXP, you can head out of the hotel and cross the street to find two Gyms nearby. As for the Pokémon I encountered around the hotel, you can see them in the picture below. They appeared quite frequently.
Note: On the day I stayed there, I had only been playing for one day, so my level was very low. T_T

My wife and I prefer to swim in the pool because it's less crowded and the pool is very inviting. The water is clear, the pool has a stylish design, and swimming a lap around the pool is just the right distance to tire me out.

After my wife and I were exhausted from swimming, it was the perfect time for dinner. We both went to try the seafood buffet that the hotel had recently launched. In addition to hotel guests, they also welcome outside guests. The price is as follows:
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Adult: 399 Baht/person
Child 199 Baht/person
The price is net and includes food, drinks, and snacks. You have 1 hour and 40 minutes to eat. The service hours are from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The dining area is located next to the lobby and swimming pool, which is easy to find.
This seafood buffet brochure will be placed in our room. If you are interested, please inform the lobby. They will ask for your preferred time, and after you finish eating, simply sign your name and room number. You can then settle the payment during check-out. It's very convenient!
Is there anything else I can help you with?

Okay, let's start our Seafood Buffet meal together. Let's start with the table setting. The hotel will have a table set up like this for you. There are plates, scissors, tongs, a stove stand, and a trash can ready. Most of the tables are small and can seat 2-4 people, but if we have informed them of a larger number, they will have a table ready for us. From what I can see, the number of tables can accommodate about 50 people.

The food line is L-shaped, starting with drinks, followed by fruits, salads, seafood, and snacks.
The restaurant offers a variety of beverages, including punch, lemonade, apple juice, and plain water. The seafood selection is extensive, featuring octopus, shrimp, crab, scallops, clams, mussels, and cockles. From a preliminary visual inspection, the seafood appears to be fresh and of high quality. However, a closer examination is needed to assess the individual items in detail.

The crab was not very big, about the size of a palm, but it was very fresh. Although the crab was not very big, it took up a lot of space on the grill. Therefore, the hotel also provided an additional service that for crabs or anything that was a bit large, the hotel would grill it for you on a large stove at the back. This was very convenient for us. I really liked this.
Note: The original text is empty, so the translation is also empty.
The prawns were a good size, medium to slightly large, which I think is the perfect size for eating. The freshness of the prawns, based on the 20 or so I ate, was excellent. I would give them an A grade for freshness.
The large squid is long and fresh. This squid is the tool we will use with the scissors on our table.
Of the four types of shellfish, I only ate scallops, clams, and mussels. All three types were fresh, especially the scallops, which my wife and I loved. They were quite large! ><
Note: If you have the opportunity to try the mussels, please let me know how they taste. My wife and I are not big fans of them.
Is there anything else I can help you with?

The restaurant offers two dipping sauces: a sweet sukiyaki sauce for those who prefer a milder flavor, and a spicy seafood sauce with a tangy and slightly spicy aftertaste.
I personally prefer sukiyaki dipping sauce, while my wife enjoys spicy and intense flavors, so she opted for seafood.
Note: The provided text is empty. There is nothing to translate.

The appetizers include four options: spaghetti, grilled pork with lime, garlic fried rice, and fried chicken wings.
The four dishes were average in taste. My favorite was the pork with lime because it was sour and helped to cut through the richness of the seafood. The fried chicken wings were a bit salty and lukewarm, probably because they had been sitting out for a while. So, for those who prefer their food hot, I recommend grilling them on the stove. I tried it myself, and the taste was much better. ><

We skipped the fruits because my wife and I were already stuffed with seafood. We especially enjoyed the shrimp and scallops. Best of all, they offered free ete traditional ice cream, which I love!
This ice cream shop is located inside the building and offers over 10 flavors. However, it seems that they do not have all the flavors that ete offers, as I have tried other flavors that were not available here. My wife and I ate 5-6 sticks that day, if I remember correctly. The flavors we had were corn, black sticky rice, mangosteen, mango, and crispy water chestnut.

Okay, now that we've finished with the Seafood Buffet dinner, let's move on to the final topic: breakfast.
The breakfast buffet at this hotel is located next to the swimming pool and lobby, in the same area as the seafood buffet. The buffet is arranged in an L-shape, starting with water, cereal, tea, coffee, bread, fruit, salad, yogurt, ham, bacon, rice, and then an egg station, rice porridge, and noodle station.

While the variety of food may not seem extensive at first glance, I found the portions to be filling and sufficient. The overall taste was of a good standard, with the sausages and bacon being particularly noteworthy and leaving a positive impression on me.

The breakfast buffet at this hotel is open from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM. In addition to the usual breakfast items like sausages and bacon, there is also a special station where you can order eggs, noodles, and rice porridge.
Egg dishes are available in a variety of styles, including fried eggs, rolled eggs, scrambled eggs, omelets, boiled eggs, and the most notable, pan-fried eggs. I personally enjoy this dish, which is not commonly found on hotel menus. A serving of pan-fried eggs typically includes two eggs with generous toppings.
The restaurant offers a variety of rice porridge and noodle dishes with seafood, pork, chicken, and meatballs. I tried the pork porridge, seafood porridge, and seafood noodles. The flavors were average, not as impressive as the fried egg dish. However, it's worth noting that the seafood dishes were generously portioned, with plenty of squid and shrimp.
The portion sizes of the noodles and rice porridge were quite large. Two bowls were enough to make me feel full. If possible, it would be great to offer smaller bowls as an option for those with smaller appetites to avoid food waste. Additionally, I would suggest serving the broth for both the noodles and rice porridge slightly hotter.

To complete your breakfast, it's best to include cereals, yogurt, and fruits. ><

Now that we've explored The Sea-Cret Hua Hin from every angle, it's time to summarize everything we've learned. I'll break down the key points for a comprehensive overview.
Design: The Sea-Cret Hua Hin is a well-designed hotel, especially the swimming pool and bedrooms, which are spacious and comfortable. The use of pink in various areas adds a touch of fun and relaxation to the hotel. However, the lobby area shows some signs of wear and tear, and a refresh with new elements could significantly enhance the overall experience. Additionally, the addition of large animal-shaped inflatables in the swimming pool would be a welcome improvement.
Cleanliness: This aspect easily passes. The room and common areas are both very clean and tidy.
Amenities:
This hotel provides a wide range of amenities in the room, which is great. It has almost everything you could need, including a DVD player, hairdryer, umbrella, safe, slippers, bathrobe, jacuzzi, and even a clothes drying rack. The only thing missing might be an iron, but honestly, I didn't need it anyway.
One minor inconvenience I experienced was with the room key. It would be better if they had a key card system or automatic locking when leaving the room, as some people might forget to lock it.
The Wi-Fi signal at the hotel was excellent. I could walk around the entire property and still get a strong and fast connection. The only time the signal dropped was when I was almost at the beach, which is outside the hotel's boundaries.
Transportation:
I have no personal experience with transportation options in Hua Hin besides private vehicles. However, considering the provided address with a clear alley name and its proximity to the main road, I believe it's easily accessible. Additionally, it's conveniently located for those who want to visit Market Village or Hua Hin Market, as they are within a short distance.
Note: As the provided text is empty, there is nothing to translate.
Please provide the text you would like me to translate, and I will be happy to assist you.
Sleep quality: Excellent. The bed, pillows, blankets, and air conditioning were all perfect. I slept very comfortably, especially on the pillows, which were so soft and supportive that I wanted to take them home with me.
Employee Service
The hotel is not a major brand that many people are familiar with, so the service provided by the staff is not as professional as you might expect. However, this does not mean that the service is bad. From my experience, the staff was friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. Their service style is more casual and friendly, rather than formal and addressing guests as "sir" or "madam." I personally prefer this approach, as it creates a more relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, making it easier to enjoy my stay without feeling the need to be overly formal.
Breakfast: A Simple Yet Satisfying Spread
While the breakfast buffet may not boast an extensive selection, it offers more than enough variety for a relaxing morning. For those seeking a lighter option, the spread provides a delightful array of choices. For those with heartier appetites, a dedicated station featuring noodle and rice porridge dishes is available. The generous portions are sure to satisfy even the most ravenous diner.
Seafood Buffet: A Convenient and Relaxing Option
This section offers an additional option for those interested in seafood. Personally, I believe that paying 399 baht net for a seafood buffet that includes dessert, drinks, and fresh ingredients is good value for money. You don't have to leave the hotel, the queues are short, and it's very comfortable. You can swim, eat, and then go back to the jacuzzi. It's a perfect way to unwind and disconnect from the outside world. However, if you don't like it, think it's too expensive, or prefer to experience the nightlife and street food, that's perfectly fine. It all comes down to personal preferences and styles.
The Sea-Cret Hua Hin: A Tranquil Escape
This review highlights The Sea-Cret Hua Hin as an ideal choice for those seeking a peaceful and intimate getaway. Its proximity to Bangkok, limited number of rooms, and serene atmosphere contribute to a tranquil experience. The reviewer praises the enjoyable swimming pool, luxurious jacuzzi, reliable Wi-Fi, and comfortable beds. Additionally, the comprehensive amenities and attractive low-season rates make it an appealing option for short vacations with friends, loved ones, or solo retreats. The reviewer emphasizes that Hua Hin's low and high seasons offer similar beach experiences, making The Sea-Cret a suitable choice even during non-peak periods. However, individuals seeking luxurious accommodations, ample parking, impeccable service, extensive dining options, and beachfront access with minimal crowds might find this hotel less suitable.
That concludes my review. If there are any omissions or errors, I apologize. This review is based solely on my personal experience on the day of my visit. Each individual's experience may differ. If you enjoy my reviews, please follow or leave feedback at: https://www.facebook.com/amazingcouples.
Thank you all for reading to the end. Let me end with this picture. With a picture of breakfast and a picture taken on the roof of the building where I slept. The rooftop of all 3 buildings can be walked on. See you again in the next review. Hello.
Note: I used the service on August 20-21, 2016.
