The long-awaited holiday has finally arrived! Yay!

I'm so tired of work. I want to change my sleeping and eating places.

Sit and listen to the sound of the waves, sip a cold beer, and let time pass for a couple of days.

With a determined heart and a limited budget,

we set off! Packing our bags onto our trusty motorbike,

the Grand Filano, which has accompanied us on many adventures.

This trip, it was just the two of us, heading towards Chonburi province. Please don't rain, please! 🙏

We started our journey at 5 am to avoid the scorching sun.

This trip wasn't meticulously planned. We simply wanted to find a place to relax,

enjoy some barbecue, and do a bit of sightseeing.

We arrived at our accommodation, Baan Ta On The Sea in Bangsaen, at around 8:30 am.

We can't check in yet, it's too early! We stopped by to leave our luggage first.

On the way to the accommodation, we talked about going to Ko Samet if we arrived before nine o'clock.

We arrived just in time.

So, let's go to Ko Samet! ^^

We're staying in a room on the second floor. We'll review the accommodation after we get back from the island.

After driving for another 20 kilometers, we will reach the pier to cross to Koh Saemsar.

Getting ready to board the boat. The atmosphere is starting to get gloomy, and the wind is quite strong.

Please, wind, help blow this cloud away. ToT

It only took 15 minutes by boat to reach the destination. After listening to the briefing from the military personnel, we had a break for lunch and then relaxed on Tian Beach. The weather had returned to normal, and the sun was shining brightly.

Most of the tourists who arrived on the same boat as us took a car to Loog Lom Beach.

Only the tourists who were going on the first round of diving remained. The sun was shining brightly and the coral reefs were beautiful.

As for the two of us… we didn't go diving! 5555

Because our beautiful friend doesn't know how to swim 5555, someone had to make a sacrifice. TT

So we're going to go cycling at the Botanical Garden instead.

Let's choose a bike first. The rental fee is 10 baht.

The soldiers advised us to cycle along the designated path. They mentioned that previously, cyclists were allowed to reach Haad Look Lom beach. However, due to several accidents involving tourists who lost control and sustained injuries, cycling to Haad Look Lom is no longer permitted.

Therefore, cyclists are restricted to the designated path. If you plan to rent a bicycle, choose carefully. The bikes here have seen their fair share of wear and tear. Some have torn seats, wobbly wheels, loose chains, and crooked handlebars.

Let's speed up a bit, haha.

There are 2-3 small tree tunnels along the way.

Walking into the botanical garden, the names of the plant species are indicated on the tree trunks.

Feel free to walk around and see what you like. There is a lotus pond with large flowers. The area around the walkway is quite overgrown.

Be careful when walking.

As for the two of us, we weren't very interested in the plant species, so we walked down to the beach first.

This part of the beach has a lot of rocks. Swimming is prohibited in this area.

However, it is a good place to sit and relax, eat, and drink water because there is a cool breeze and shade from the trees.

We sat there for a while and started to feel sleepy. If there were hammocks or mats and another pillow, we would definitely fall asleep.

After we both woke up from our daze, we prepared to cycle back.

We're going to play in the water at Hat Look Lom! Yay!

The island offers free transportation services.

The picture is a bit blurry, I didn't have time to adjust the camera. ^^

We've arrived! Let's run down to the beach!

The sand on this beach is relatively fine, but not as fine as the sand on Haad Thian Beach.

Activities at Hat Look Lom include kayaking, snorkeling, glass-bottom boat rides, and beach volleyball.

As usual, we didn't do anything else but swim, take photos, and walk up to the viewpoint.

After enjoying the scenery for a while, I checked my watch and realized it was almost 1 pm.

I quickly changed my clothes and went up to the viewpoint to take some pictures.

It was time to head back.

It's so hot! ^^

From the viewpoint above.

Another angle

There is another way to go up, but we came down first because the cameraman was injured by the railing.

The blood was splattered everywhere!! ToT

Waiting for the bus back to Haad Thian to catch the first ferry back at 1:30 PM.

Visitors are welcome to explore Koh Samet during the rainy season.

It is advisable to check the weather conditions beforehand. If you are lucky like us, you may avoid the rain.

We encountered sunshine, ranging from strong to very strong.

As mentioned earlier, the island offers a variety of activities.

Our visit was not fully optimized, but we had a good time nonetheless. We came seeking relaxation, sightseeing,

and ample photo opportunities. For us, that was enough.

(We are avid photography enthusiasts.)

:)

Expenses on the island

Translation:

The cost of the island crossing card is 300 baht per person.

Those who wish to go scuba diving must pay an additional 50 baht for equipment rental.

Bicycle rental fee 10 baht

Other activities include a free shuttle service.

On the way back, we stopped by the market to buy seafood. I think tonight's dinner will be special. Hehe.

Driving along the road, just past the lighthouse resort, you will see a fresh market selling seafood.

I didn't take any pictures, I was carrying a lot of stuff, sorry.

I got half a kilo of squid, half a kilo of tiger prawns, half a kilo of sweet clams, and another kilo of crab.

That's enough, I'm going to break my fast and go back before I buy too much. 5555

We arrived at the accommodation at 2:00 PM, just in time for check-in.

We stayed at Baan Tah On The Sea, which is like a bridge extending out to sea.

There are two accommodations facing each other, as shown in the picture (from the website).

To book a room, go to the Baan Tah website and click on the points in the picture.

There will be pictures of each room to view, and then you can click to book a room and pay.

The green dots indicate available rooms, and the red dots indicate unavailable rooms. Please choose accordingly.

The staff kindly helped me carry my belongings up to my room.

Let's take a look at the room together.

There are two pairs of slippers provided in the room.

The bathroom is very clean and new.

It also has a water heater.

Translation:

Body cleansing equipment is also available, including toothbrushes.

Let's take a look around the room.

This hat is ours. The resort does not provide hats. 5555

Translation:

The view from the balcony is of an old shipyard. This area is off-limits.

This place has plenty of tables for placing items, which is very convenient. I love it! ^^

Translation:

After packing, I couldn't wait to open the bag of crabs. 5555

Each of us had a plate of steamed rice, fresh blue crabs, and spicy seafood dipping sauce. (No pictures, you know what it looks like ;P)

After eating my fill, I'm going to fulfill my dream for this trip.

Which is… to sleep. Sleep on a soft bed with cool air conditioning. Sleep zzZZ

We'll wake up to watch the sunset together. ^^

I woke up. The sun hasn't set yet, but it looks like it's going to rain. TT

Take a shower, change your clothes, and relax downstairs.

The atmosphere here is really good. There is a communal table in this area.

If anyone wants to come and have dinner in this area, it's great.

The sun is nowhere to be seen, the clouds are really heavy, oh my.

The wind is so cool, I sat looking at the boats, looking at the water, looking here and there for a while.

We both fell asleep, lol. The atmosphere is so nice, isn't it? ^^

I woke up to a dark sky and remembered that I had bought seafood.

I walked to the staff and asked to rent a stove. I paid 100 baht.

The staff brought it to me and installed the stove.

The green lights are for guests to come and fish for squid. There are also fishing rods for rent.

There was a gang that was fishing. After they finished fishing, they grilled and ate it right there. Oh, I want to eat it too.

Stop caring about other people's food and start caring about your own.

My squid is also falling, by the way. 5555

Let me say goodbye to tonight with this picture. It's so delicious and spicy. Good night..

I woke up at 9 am. I slept in very late.

I didn't see the sunrise, but I feel like I slept very well. I feel very comfortable.

I drove to the market but didn't make it in time for the morning market, so I bought two boxes of cooked-to-order food.

I ordered breakfast from the accommodation, which included rice porridge, youtiao, bread, and coffee for 120 baht. It was delicious.

I'm packing up to go home. I have to work early tomorrow. Ugh.

Take a picture of the accommodation before leaving.
