Have you ever felt bored? When you want to eat delicious sushi, you have to wait in line for a long time.

Have you ever felt frustrated when, after finishing your meal and paying the bill, you are surprised by additional charges for VAT and service fees?

Have you ever felt frustrated when you were sitting in a sushi restaurant with uncomfortable seats, bad service, and having to rush your meal because of the long queue of people waiting to be seated, all while feeling the judging stares of those waiting, urging you to finish your meal quickly?

Have you ever regretted spending money on pre-made sushi from street vendors or supermarkets? You get home, take a bite, and it's not delicious! What a waste of money!

These problems will disappear once you get to know this restaurant!! Naeki Sushi.

Naeki Sushi is a premium sushi restaurant that operates solely as a take-away establishment. Its unique selling proposition lies in its generous portions, high quality, and freshness, ensuring that customers receive a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience.

The Japanese word "Naeki" signifies "a small seed that will grow into a large tree." Currently, Naeki Sushi operates three branches: All Seasons Place on Witthayu Road, Park Ventures on Phloen Chit Road, and BTS Siam. Notably, all three locations are situated in bustling business districts, catering to individuals seeking quick and convenient options. These customers prioritize efficiency and time-saving solutions, often opting for takeaway meals to enjoy the comfort of their homes. However, they also desire delicious food to alleviate the stress accumulated throughout their workday.

Today, I will take you all to try sushi at this restaurant's BTS Siam branch. The location of this branch is at BTS Siam, on the side connected to Siam Paragon, near Siam Ocean World. The front of the shop looks like this.

The restaurant is not very big, but it is easy to find. In front of the restaurant, there is a menu board with prices and a TV screen that shows pictures of delicious food.

The shop is divided into simple zones as follows:

1. Cooking zone

2. Shopping selection zone

3. Paid zone

The cooking zone is off-limits to guests, but you can watch the chefs, with their handsome faces, work diligently, their hands moving swiftly and tirelessly.

The second zone is the selection area, where there are shelves displaying freshly made sushi and other dishes. The menu is very diverse, and the shelves never seem to be fully stocked with food. As soon as the staff restock the shelves, customers quickly come by to choose their items and pay. This ensures that the sushi here is always freshly made, as intended by the restaurant.

For those who have trouble finding the menu they want or have any questions, please look for staff wearing black vests and a store badge. They will be standing near the food shelves and are happy to assist you.

The third zone is the payment zone. This zone is not difficult. Just hand over the food you have chosen, and they will calculate the price for you. It will be done in a moment.

Alright, we've explored the restaurant. Now, let's take a look at the food. How does it look? What are the prices? And is the quality worthy of the "Sushi Premium" title? After all, I've never been truly impressed by any sushi takeaway before.

Upon examining the restaurant's menu, I discovered a diverse selection of dishes, including sushi, unagi donburi, salmon donburi, seaweed salad, and onigiri. The sushi menu boasts a wide variety of sets, ranging in price from 100 to 400 baht.

The drinks and soup can be ordered at the cashier. The signature drink here is Matcha Honey Lemon, a green tea with honey and lemon, priced at 55 baht per glass. The taste of this drink is not like Oishi or Ichitan, but rather like honey lemon with a faint hint of tea.

After browsing the menu for about 5 minutes, I decided on the dishes pictured below.

.

.

.

After picking them up, I put them all together on the table. I thought to myself, "Wow! Am I really going to eat all of this? It seems like a lot."

Let's start looking at each item individually. Starting with the Set that the restaurant is proud to present and says it is the Signature of the restaurant. Anyone passing by should try it. That is the Salmon Duo Set, a sushi set with 6 pieces, divided into 3 pieces of salmon sashimi and 3 pieces of grilled salmon. The price of this menu is 260 baht. It is a Net price with no Vat and Service Charge. On average, it is around 43 baht per piece.

I was personally impressed by the appearance of the sushi, the pattern of the fish meat, and the packaging used by the restaurant. The packaging itself looked beautiful and expensive, especially the tray with its wood-like pattern. Importantly, in addition to the plastic lid that securely locks onto the base without worrying about it coming loose, it can also be flipped over to support the tray, making it even taller.

The food set I photographed was taken at the food court on the lower floor of Siam Paragon, which is not far from the restaurant. The restaurant provided a complete set of utensils in the bag, including chopsticks, tissues, dipping sauce cups, wasabi, soy sauce, and pickled ginger. So, if you're hungry, you can just open the box and eat it anywhere.

Let's take a closer look at the taste of these six salmon sushi pieces. Overall, I must say that the size of the sushi is quite large. So large, in fact, that I, who normally can finish a piece of sushi in one bite, almost couldn't fit the entire piece in my mouth on the first try. For the subsequent bites, I had to cut the pieces in half to avoid overexerting my jaw.

The generous size of the sushi is evident in both the rice and the fish. While it may initially appear that the restaurant prioritizes rice, a closer examination of the fish reveals that the salmon pieces are quite substantial for the price per piece. Moreover, the quality of the fish is excellent, boasting a delicious flavor that rivals that of many renowned establishments. Both my wife and I were particularly impressed by the regular and grilled salmon options.

For those who think the 6-piece set is too much or too expensive, the shop also offers a mini 4-piece set per box for only 180 baht/box, which is only 45 baht per piece (slightly more expensive than the 6-piece set).

Next up, we have salmon sashimi, a popular choice among many. This box comes with 6 pieces of salmon sashimi for 260 baht. The salmon has beautiful marbling and a delicious flavor.

For those who frequently enjoy Salmon sashimi, this menu item can be compared to that of Sushi Hiro, which is quite famous for this dish. It must be admitted that the price of this box from Naeki is higher. However, what we gain is convenience and speed, eliminating the need to wait in long lines. Importantly, the quality is equally good.

Let's take a break from salmon and take a look at something else, the Sushi Set C1, which includes 10 pieces of sushi with various toppings, for 420 baht.

The most impressive aspect of this set is the freshness of the ingredients, especially the salmon roe. It is incredibly fresh and bursts with flavor in your mouth.

The next item is the California Maki Set, which includes 5 large California Maki pieces. I must say, they are truly enormous! I guarantee you won't be able to finish one in a single bite. @_@

The filling consists of salmon, sweet egg, crab sticks, and a small amount of vegetables.

Let's return to the salmon, but this time it's not just salmon, it comes with salmon roe. This is the Salmon Donburi, or salmon rice bowl. This box costs 300 baht.

The salmon box comes with 6-7 pieces of high-quality salmon on top of a bed of rice. Salmon roe is sprinkled on top, and Japanese seaweed is placed under the salmon. This dish is a generous portion and can be enjoyed on its own without the need for additional side dishes.

Next up is the triangular rice ball, or onigiri, priced at 45 baht per piece and perfectly sized for your palm. The shop offers a total of 7 fillings, but I tried 3: grilled salmon with salt, shirasu fish, and salmon teriyaki.

My wife loves this type of food, and she often buys it when we're in Japan. She also buys it at Lawson's when we're in Thailand. However, I think it has too much rice, so I don't like it very much. Therefore, I have left it to her to try it on other days, as it can be kept for a day without the taste changing much.

The results show that she was quite impressed. The filling was more generous than many other places she had tried, where the filling was often only in the center. Here, the filling could be seen even at the edges. The size of one piece was perfect for a woman to have as a light snack or breakfast while driving to work.

For those who do not enjoy the plain taste of onigiri, the restaurant offers a "cheese roe dip" for 45 baht per cup. The flavor is unique and unlike any other dipping sauce I've tried. The most prominent taste is cheese with a salty note. Therefore, those who are not fond of salty flavors should dip sparingly at first. However, if you enjoy the taste after trying it, feel free to dip generously.

Alright, now we've reached the final menu item, which is soup. The restaurant offers two types of soup: Dashi (dried fish soup) and Miso.

The Dashi is priced at 30 baht, while the Miso is 40 baht. I tried the Dashi, and it has a slightly salty taste. The packaging for the soup is quite unique, as it comes in a coffee cup that fits comfortably in your hand. This makes it easy to drink on the go without spilling.

Regarding the price, I believe this item is a bit expensive. It would be better to reduce the price by 5-10 baht. This would be a good way to service customers, as this type of soup is not something that people would normally buy on a whim. Most people who eat it are those who have already come to the restaurant to buy food.

Okay, so at this point, I must say that my stomach is so full that it's about to explode. Therefore, I would like to summarize the ending with your permission. I will separate the details into the following sections:

Taste of the food: Overall, the taste of the various dishes I tried was of high quality. It lived up to the restaurant's positioning as a premium sushi restaurant, as the quality of the fish could compete with the leading restaurants in the market today.

Culinary Diversity: The restaurant's primary focus is sushi, complemented by a variety of rice bowls and onigiri. The sushi menu offers a wide selection of sets at various price points to cater to different budgets and preferences. For those who enjoy sushi, salmon rice bowls, or unagi rice bowls, finding a satisfying dish should be effortless.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

Shop Cleanliness: No issues here. The shop is clean and well-maintained. As it is a takeaway-only establishment, there are no concerns about food waste or debris.

Employee service: Both the staff at the food counter and the cashier were friendly, attentive, and provided prompt service.

Accessibility:

The convenient location of the BTS Siam branch makes it ideal for those using the BTS Skytrain. The shop is easily accessible from both before and after exiting the station, as long as you exit on the correct side. For those driving and parking at Siam Paragon, the shop is conveniently located just a few steps away from the mall's exit.

**Value for money:** At first glance, considering it's a roadside takeaway sushi stall with an unfamiliar brand and judging by the price, one might think it's a bit expensive. However, after trying it, you'll realize that this is one of the sushi restaurants with good quality and reasonable prices. For example, salmon sushi averages 45 baht per piece, which is in line with many famous restaurants (after they add VAT and service charge). But what we get extra is a slightly larger piece size, as well as the convenience and speed of being able to buy and eat it right away without having to wait in long lines.

**Summary:** If you work near Witthayu Road, Phloen Chit, or Siam and crave high-quality sushi without the long wait or the headache of figuring out whether the menu prices are net, or if you're someone who prefers to enjoy delicious food at home while watching TV, Naeki Sushi is an excellent option. Finding a takeaway sushi restaurant with this level of quality is a rare feat these days. While the overall price may seem a bit high compared to our previous perception of sushi prices, both in restaurants and takeaway options, I encourage you to give it a try. You'll realize that grabbing a quick and delicious meal from a place like this is incredibly convenient.

Note: The restaurant has recently expanded its services from take-away to delivery, focusing on the Siam, Phloen Chit, and Witthayu areas near the restaurant. If you are interested, please inquire with the restaurant.
