If you have ever gone hiking, even just a little, you will have an answer in your heart: what is the 'charm' of long-distance travel on our two feet?

If you are accustomed to journeys that ascend to encounter the pristine whiteness of mist and lush, verdant grass... I believe that experiencing a change of scenery to encounter something different is equally appealing.

**Doi Thu Le**, also known as **Mon Thu Le**, is a must-visit destination for mountain enthusiasts. The journey to the summit is a true test of endurance, as the path is relentlessly steep. Hikers will encounter no flat terrain until they reach the peak. The reward for their efforts is a breathtaking view of the **golden meadows**, bathed in the glow of the sun and moon.

And so, the journey of Lost Somewhere Together began…

Tak Province is a place I have had the opportunity to visit many times, but I have never been able to explore it all. This province has countless natural tourist attractions to discover.

The reputation of the golden meadow, which I have heard about for a long time, made me want to find time to experience it for myself. The steep path, over 7 kilometers long, is so steep that it feels like it goes on forever from the moment you step foot on the mountain. But I believe that what I am about to see is worth the effort of walking to it.

With a mountain that has a golden meadow as far as the eye can see and a sea of fog in the morning, it's simple and short: 'Turn around and nudge your friend, nudge the person next to you' and give it a try. Then you will remember these images in your head forever...

My journey this time began at the Tha Song Yang Subdistrict Administrative Organization. After we had confirmed the date and time of our trip, we had to call to book a date with the officials and porters.

It's not like I suddenly wanted to go, so I just walked there. 5555+

While you may be in excellent physical condition, climbing Mount Kinabalu without a permit is strictly prohibited. You must notify the authorities in advance. Regarding porters, the cost is approximately 300 Baht per day per person. They will also serve as your guides and are local villagers who will accompany you throughout the trip.

While waiting for the time to go up the mountain, we took a leisurely stroll along the banks of the Mae Nam Moei. The fog had descended early this morning, creating a truly beautiful atmosphere. The air was fresh and crisp, making it a perfect day to be outdoors.

After arriving at the starting point, we will take a shared taxi to the foot of the mountain. The journey is approximately 6-7 kilometers and costs 300 baht per trip.

Okay, let's go!

After walking for a while, we stopped to wash our faces and eyes.

After a grueling 7-hour trek, we finally reached the near-vertical peak, the most challenging part of the climb.

At this point, we have to climb and walk at the same time. Our arms and legs need to be strong. But the path is already surrounded by golden grass. Just a little more... and we will reach the top of the mountain.

Alright! We've arrived. You can see people in the distance who have already set up camp. It's time for us to find a spot to pitch our tent and get settled in.

After a long day of exhaustion, it's time to fully immerse ourselves in the nature before us. Observe the surrounding mountains, they are all green, except for this spot, which is golden and stands out against the sky and the other mountains.

Please note that there are no restrooms on this site. Therefore, please eat, live, and use the facilities according to nature. 5555+ Please bring tissues or other necessities.

The sun has just set, marking the end of another day. As the last rays of light fade, we bid farewell to the setting sun and anticipate the arrival of dawn, when we will once again be greeted by the rising sun.

The morning mist that you might find difficult to imagine 'why there is fog' because the meadow is golden yellow. We might not be able to imagine whether it is humid or not. Is the weather dry, hot, and arid?

Not at all. Although the grass may appear dry due to its color, which is different from other hills, the air is quite cool. Waking up to the cool breeze in the meadow and sitting watching the mist in front of you, then sipping hot coffee leisurely.

Where did this child come from?

Here, I proudly present children of hill tribe people who are running and playing after their fathers or older siblings who are porters/guides.

Oh, you've been running around a lot, haven't you? 55555+

If these children can run this far, I believe they could easily compete in the Olympics. They must have been running up and down the mountain since they were young, and they are now familiar with the terrain. For these children, climbing a 7-kilometer mountain is like taking a short walk to the end of the street. I am in awe of their strength.

Strike a pose and capture the moment amidst the golden meadow.

It's time for us to head back now.

The descent remained steep, with no change in gradient.

Our guide, who was very familiar with the path, ran down the slope effortlessly. His smooth descent, as graceful as the wind, suggested that the path was easy to navigate.

Seeing this, my brother immediately took action. He got into a good position and ran after him. And then... he tripped and fell. 555555+

I hurt myself in this incident. I thought it would be easy to climb down and run. Please do not imitate this behavior, as it is a personal delusion. It is better to walk slowly and descend gradually. It is better to be slow but sure than to have to receive first aid in the middle of the forest like this. 5555+

The journey through the golden meadows and valleys has come to an end. The long road ahead will be traveled on foot. It may be tiring, there may be injuries and wounds, but the memories of this trip will bring us joy whenever we think of it.
