I wonder when was the last time I stayed in Amphawa.
Thinking back, I realized that the last time I visited Amphawa for a relaxing stay was 2 years ago.
I don't think I go there often, and most of the time when I do visit Amphawa, I focus on the location and the natural beauty of the area.
That is, either not being directly on the Mae Klong River or being close to the Amphawa Floating Market, which is another option for our relaxing day.
Baan Suan Nuanta is our accommodation for this trip.
We come here to relax, to spend a night here, and to enjoy delicious food.
During the late rainy season and early winter, the weather is good right now.
With a journey to Amphawa, just 1.30 hours drive from Bangkok, we'll see you there.

Now that you're in Amphawa, where should you go first? The best answer for girls like us is to find a place to eat! 😜
The first shop we visited was The Kittens Koffie Arts 'n Eats, which is located next to the Thai Cat Museum in Amphawa.
This is a must-visit for cat lovers. After visiting the museum and seeing many breeds of cats, you can stop by this cat-themed cafe.
The cafe is decorated in a cute way. It may seem a bit small if all the tables are full. When we went, all the tables were full too. 555
The logo is cute. All the cups, menus, and plates have pictures of cats on them.
When we ordered the strawberry toast, we were amazed.
The strawberry jam toast was amazing! I've never seen so much jam on a toast before. It was huge and only cost a little over 100 baht. I was already full from the noodles I had earlier, but I still managed to finish it. After the cat cafe, we went to the Amphawa Floating Market.
It can be a bit difficult to find parking on weekends. Parking costs 40 baht, depending on the location. We parked on the same side as the King Rama II Memorial Park, which allowed us to walk directly to the floating market.
Strolling through the Amphawa Floating Market amidst the crowds, tourists, and vendors selling Amphawa souvenirs.
There are many vintage shops. I've been to the Amphawa Floating Market early in the morning, during the day, and in the evening. When asked which time I like the most, the evening lights of the floating market are the most beautiful for me, but it's still crowded with tourists.
This is what makes the Amphawa Floating Market so colorful.
But every time I come, I always get some food to take home, haha.
When it comes to grilled seafood, Amphawa Floating Market is a popular spot. However, in my opinion, it's quite expensive. While the grilled crab, squid, and prawns are decent, and the waterfront setting is enjoyable, if you're looking for fresh, delicious, and affordable seafood, I recommend heading to Bang Taboon in Phetchaburi, just a short distance from Amphawa. There, you can find fresh blue crabs with dipping sauce for only 200-300 baht per kilogram. I've been there several times, and it's definitely worth the trip.
However, since we're already in Amphawa and the sky is starting to darken after the rain, we'll head to our accommodation for the night, Baan Suan Nuanta.
The most convenient route to Baan Suan Nuanta is via the bypass road.
Continue straight and enter Soi Wat Suan Kaew Park. There will be several signs indicating the name of Baan Suan Nuanta.
Drive straight into the alley. Baan Suan Nuanta will be on the left-hand side with a clear sign.
Turn in!
We have arrived at Baan Suan Nuanta, surrounded by lush greenery, truly living up to its name as a garden house. Let's explore!
The accommodations at Baan Suan Nuanta are individual villas, either poolside or garden-facing.
We chose the most stunning villa, with a pool in front and a garden in the back, offering a clear view of the Mae Klong River.
There's a chance we might even see fireflies tonight, as it's the late rainy season, early winter period when they are abundant. Especially in a garden setting like this, with plenty of trees, a perfect habitat for fireflies, a highlight of Amphawa.
The front of the house features a large swimming pool, complete with separate sections for adults and children.
The pool's beauty is enhanced at night by the mesmerizing display of colorful lights.
As dusk approaches, the playful rain clouds begin to gather, prompting us to retreat indoors.
The one-bedroom house we stayed in can accommodate two people and has a very large space. The house is large and can easily accommodate extra beds.
It is not crowded and is equipped with all the amenities, including air conditioning, a water heater,
TV, refrigerator, a mini-bar with drinks, and a hairdryer. It is as complete as a regular hotel.
What we liked about Baan Suan Nuanta's accommodation is the balcony behind the room.
It is a great place to sit and make music, chat, or surf the net. There is also free Wi-Fi here.
I heard that the starting price on weekdays is 1600 baht per house, including breakfast.
There are other types of houses as well, such as houses in the garden or two-bedroom houses. We'll take you to see them later.
The bathroom at Baan Suan Nualta is spacious and well-designed, with separate dry and wet areas. It is equipped with liquid soap and shampoo, although the bottles are not labeled, so you'll have to guess which is which!
The late afternoon brings a gentle rain shower and transforms the swimming pool at Baan Suan Nualta with a vibrant play of colors.
What is that large inflatable doll?
It's dinner time now, and it's still drizzling a little.
The dining room is located by the Mae Klong River. In the early evening, there are quite a lot of mosquitoes, which is normal for houses near the river.
But it's not a problem because there are fans and mosquito repellent spray.
This evening's meal at Baan Suan Nualta is truly satisfying. The tom yum goong is particularly delicious.
The meal is complete with all the flavors, including a spicy squid salad.
Meanwhile, we can see the shrimping boats paddling around the Mae Klong River. This is the time when the people of Amphawa go out to catch shrimp.
And during this time, the mango trees in the Nuanta Garden and the various bushes in the resort will be sparkling.
With fireflies, the owner of the house pointed it out to us. Yes, it's really fireflies. We saw it with our own eyes. We asked ourselves again, when was the last time we saw fireflies?
It's been a long time since we were kids in the countryside. When we moved to the city, we never saw it again. For decades, we just had the opportunity to
See the real fireflies again at Baan Suan Nuanta Amphawa.
That night, the rain was still falling lightly. We slept still playing with our mobile phones with cool and comfortable air until we fell asleep.
Until the next morning, we woke up and went for a walk in the Nuanta Garden again. In the early morning after the rain
How refreshing it will be. Let's go see it together.
This morning, let's start with a slow life here. It's by the Mae Klong River. There are girls waiting at the pier every day. 555
At first, we inquired if monks would be performing alms collection by boat along the river. We were informed that monks would not be collecting alms along the road in front of the resort near Baan Suan Nuanta due to the deep water near the Mae Klong River behind the property. Additionally, our visit coincided with the Buddhist Lent period.
Therefore, there was no alms-giving activity this morning. Instead, we opted to take a leisurely stroll and admire the various flowers in the garden at Baan Suan Nuanta.
At least from this angle, I got a beautiful picture with the sign of Baan Suan Nuanta. One picture is enough, haha.
Other areas have a petanque field to play in as well.
Baan Suan Nuanta: A Home Away from Home
Judging from the Baan Suan Nuanta website, it appears that the resort frequently hosts various seminar groups. This is likely due to the spacious grounds and welcoming atmosphere, which are ideal for both accommodation and team-building activities.
While the official name on the business card is Baan Suan Nuanta Home Stay & Resort, the owner, Auntie, prefers to call it a homestay because she personally oversees and provides services to guests, creating a warm and familiar environment.
Guests often describe their experience as akin to visiting relatives in the countryside. Auntie, the owner, is known for her attentiveness and engaging conversation. She enthusiastically shares her knowledge of Amphawa and the history of Baan Suan Nuanta with all visitors.
Our breakfast this morning was at the same riverside dining room as yesterday, overlooking the Mae Klong River. After seeing the scene at night, let's take a look at the daytime scene.
This morning's breakfast perfectly complements the garden house atmosphere. It's shrimp congee with large, prominent shrimp.
The shrimp takes center stage before settling comfortably in our stomachs, leaving us satisfied for the morning.
Early in the morning, it is still a slow life for girls like us at Baan Suan Nuanta.
There are many pavilions by the water. Come and relax at the pavilion. It is another day of relaxation.
No rush, near Bangkok. We believe that no matter how many times we come to Amphawa, we will never get bored.
Surrounded by a variety of flora, the Nuanta Garden is a haven for nature lovers.
Among the most prominent blooms adorning the garden are:
This is a five-colored flower called Dok Benjarong in Thai. It has many other names, such as Ya Ya and Aom Saeb. We will simply call it a flower.
Because our memory of flowers is really limited. 555
These bright yellow flowers are Cosmos, also known as "Dok Daeng" in Thai. I recognize them because I've seen them often before. Today, I saw them again at Baan Suan Nuanta and captured some photos to share.
One of the most interesting things I noticed at Baan Suan Nuanta is that they raise red tilapia fish in ponds surrounding the accommodation.
Almost every house we passed by raised fish, and not just a few fish, but a whole school of them.
Let me tell you, there were a lot of fish.
Next up, we'll take a look at another type of house at Baan Suan Nuanta, with this beautiful girl leading the way.
This 2-bedroom villa is perfect for families or groups of friends who want to enjoy a spacious and comfortable home with plenty of room to relax and entertain. Located in the heart of the garden, close to the Mae Klong River, this villa offers a peaceful and private setting.
This two-bedroom, two-bathroom house can accommodate six people in three beds per room. However, the spacious outdoor area can accommodate an additional four people on extra beds.
Two bedrooms, left and right, each with 3 beds.
Exterior of the 2 Bedroom Villa.
A garden house surrounded by lush greenery in all directions. The back and front gardens are still swimming pools, where the sun is starting to shine at this time. It comes with a good atmosphere at Baan Suan Nuanta.
The cuteness and naturalness of the children who come here to relax with their families.
The happiness and fun of the children is the happiness of the parents, don't you agree?
As with our rest, wherever we are, we usually have time for ourselves.
Stay still, let time slow down, and soak up the atmosphere of this place with good feelings, go back out.

Checked out and ready to go! Where to next? For girls like us, it's gotta be more food, haha! This time, we're at Neighbor Kitchen & Cafe.
Our favorite drink is iced milk tea, but we forgot that our dessert was also sweet and cold.
It turned out that we couldn't finish it, so we had to order plain water instead. What's good about this shop is that we came on a weekday, so there weren't many people.
So we had a corner where we could take pictures as girls.
