Despite its centuries-old existence, the structure remains remarkably intact, almost as if its inhabitants were still present.

The Phra Phithakphakdi Mansion is a significant historical site in Sai Buri District.

In the past, this was the residence of Phra Phiphitphakdi, the eldest son of the ruler of Yaring (one of the seven vassal states).

It was very large and hundreds of years old. When the sun rises, it is said that there will be a long shadow along the mountain range. At noon, the shadow will stretch for hundreds of meters. Therefore, it is a wonder of the trees here. The locals call this mountain "Slin Dong Bayu".

We drove for a while and stopped again. It seems that there is something interesting here again. What is this place?

This is the old Chinatown community. There are still Chinese people living here. It is said to be hundreds of years old. I will take you to see it.

This is called a dragon gate. It is a single door with two windows, which is a traditional Chinese house design.

This house belonged to the "Lauhakul" family and is a Chinese-style house.

The image of an elderly man standing shirtless, talking to the King, dates back to 1992. At that time, the King visited the Pru Ka Ka Development Project in Sai Buri District, Pattani Province.

At that time, Uncle Wadeeng was just an ordinary villager. He wasn't wearing a shirt because he didn't believe the King would actually come. When he finally met the King, he still wasn't sure, so he reached out to touch him. Only then did he believe that the person he was seeing was the King.

The King then told Uncle Wadeeng that he would build an irrigation canal to help the villagers with their farming. The canal we see here is the Khlong Tung Ket, which Uncle Wadeeng rowed the King across. He also told the King about the villagers' hardships.

The King even tested Uncle Wadeeng by asking for land to carry out his royal project. Uncle Wadeeng immediately replied, "Give it to me." The King then bestowed upon him the title of "Royal Friend of Sai Buri."

The reason the King came directly to Uncle Wadeeng was because Uncle Wadeeng was a true expert on the area. When helping someone, it is important to ask the local people first, as they know the area better than anyone else. All the events that make up the heartwarming story of the Royal Friend of Sai Buri took place here.

Nightlife in Sai Buri

Unlike other places, Sai Buri doesn't have pubs or bars.

The atmosphere here is lively, just like other places, and the air is filled with the aroma of roti and tea.

At this shop, run by Brother Badi (did I get that right?), hot tea and coffee are incredibly affordable. I was surprised by the prices here.

We ordered several cups of coffee and two or three plates of roti, and when it came time to pay, the total was only 60 baht. I didn't even bother asking the individual prices.

At night, this place comes alive with numerous roti shops. It's impossible to resist the temptation, so I ordered a roti with curry. The laughter and chatter of the locals filled the air. One thing I've always wondered is whether everyone in this town knows each other. It seems like the shop owner greets every single person who drives past.

I borrowed a bicycle from my brother at the resort. I'm going to take it for a leisurely ride around the city, specifically the Sai Buri area.
