A trip to Taipei, Taiwan

Our flight landed at approximately 8:30 AM on the first day. It is worth noting that this flight had an exceptionally large number of Thai passengers, likely due to the long holiday weekend. (This is to be expected when traveling during holidays.)

Our flight was at 3 am, so we rushed to the airport before midnight. We thought we would be the first in line, but we were wrong. #Smiling wryly

As soon as the door opened, bam! Everyone's expressions changed. There were tons of people waiting in line, the queue was winding like a snake! #Exhausted. We waited in line for over an hour, feeling sleepy and hungry.

Touchdown.

After washing my face, brushing my teeth, and drawing my eyebrows, I grabbed my bag and was ready to go!

As I walked to catch the bus, I suddenly realized I had left my bag in front of the store. I rushed back, feeling like I was meeting a relative I hadn't seen in three years at the airport. Can you guess what I found?

That's right! It's a convenience store! Well, as a sweet tooth, I always lose to this kind of thing.

The primary mission of this trip is "bubble tea." If we find it, we must drink it! The little elephant has made a vow before the sacred object. So, let's get it on, what are we waiting for!

The first bottle, let's begin!

This popular milk tea is said to be incredibly delicious, so I rushed out to try it. The result? It's incredibly smooth and creamy, with a subtle sweetness and a fragrant tea aroma. It's easy to drink and completely harmless. Three thumbs up! #applause

The second-ranked milk tea is a famous pearl milk tea shop with multiple branches that are easy to find. It costs less than 50 baht.

Upon seeing the yellow sign with the blue circle logo, I immediately rushed towards it!

We ordered a small milk tea with pearls, and the staff asked, "How sweet would you like it?" We were confused. Should we answer with "less sweet," "medium sweet," or a percentage? When we asked her back, she was also confused. We were confused for a while, and then we said, "Normal, please!" "Small bubble tea, normal sweetness."

Do you think you will be able to eat and use it?

"Wait, wait, another question? How much ice do you want? Hey, in our country, we fill the glass to the brim without asking for permission. Here, we're being asked this? I'm speechless. What do you mean, we have the right to choose? #Acting cute for what? Looking at the staff with a sly smile. Normal!"

Confused, she turned to call her friend over, but they still didn't understand. She shook her head, calculated the bill, and with a flick of her hand, told them to wait over there.

Fine, I'll go.

Behold!

"So many jokes, haha, we're funny, aren't we? #wrong"

The pearls are so dense that they flow into your mouth like an endless stream, just like drinking bubble tea with pearls.

Outright

Full word

Full of holes!!! Ngum ngum

The portion is huge, like the unsold food from the restaurant next to my university. I'm full! The small tapioca balls are chewy and fun to eat. They have a slightly sweet flavor. The milk tea is less sweet than what we have in Thailand, and it has a smooth texture but not a strong tea aroma. It's suitable for people who like a milky taste. I personally think the small tapioca balls are delicious and fun to chew. I finished the whole cup in no time!

(Day 2)

Today, my Taiwanese friend took me to try some delicious food. We went to Din Tai Fung in Taipei 101, and then she took me to a nearby building, ATT 4 FUN (which is connected by a skywalk). She told me that there are two famous restaurants there that she wanted me to try so I could compare them.

Third-ranked milk tea

This restaurant, with only two branches in Taipei, is a popular spot with long lines. Expect a wait of approximately 20 minutes before you can enjoy your meal.

This shop serves tea that fills 3/4 of the cup, with the remaining space filled with milk. It is served cold without ice.

Following a friend's recommendation, we opted for the "less sweet" option, which proved to be a healthy choice. The tapioca pearls were pleasantly chewy, offering a satisfying texture without being overly large or small. Their sweetness perfectly complemented the fragrant tea, creating a harmonious balance of flavors. However, for those with a preference for sweeter beverages, the regular sweetness level might be more suitable.

Milk tea number 4

The shop is located to the left of the third in the row. My friend told me that this is the original shop, the pioneer of the first bubble tea shop. Well, how could I miss it? But I wonder why there aren't many people. She said that because there are so many shops now, people tend to try and hype new shops. So there are fewer people, but it's still delicious.

Here you go!

We ordered 50% sweetness with black and white tapioca pearls, regular ice, and a medium cup size, as we plan to try another shop later.

The taste is fragrant and sweeter than three eggs in a shop. The two pearls have a strange texture. One is chewy and the other is crunchy. It's strangely delicious.

3/5

This can be translated in a few different ways, depending on the context:

  • Fraction: Three-fifths. This is the most literal translation and is appropriate when referring to the mathematical concept.
  • Ratio: Three to five. This emphasizes the relationship between two quantities and is often used in comparisons.
  • Percentage: Sixty percent. This expresses the fraction as a percentage, which can be more intuitive for some readers.

Without additional context, it's impossible to determine the most appropriate translation.

Chun shui tang: The 5th Best Milk Tea

Note: This translation assumes that the original text is ranking milk tea brands, with Chun shui tang being ranked 5th.

This establishment is exceptionally proud to present.

We used to frequent this shop when we were studying in Japan. Every time we went to Harajuku, we would stop by. In my personal opinion, it is the best bubble tea I have ever had.

Don't miss out on the original!

My friend recommended ordering two types of bubble tea. The first is the regular milk tea with tapioca pearls, and the other is a milk tea made with authentic Taiwanese tea leaves. The tea flavor is stronger, which she prefers, so she wanted me to try it.

This tea shop has seating available, and they also offer food and snacks. However, we didn't sit down because they require you to order a certain amount of food per person. We went all out and ordered a lot, including soup dumplings and two different types of tea. With eight people, it was a bit much.

After placing the order, I waited in line for about 10 minutes. While waiting, I watched the staff make the drinks, which was quite enjoyable.

(The person on the far right might have been a little sleep-deprived;p I apologize for pressing the shutter at that moment.)

The unique feature of this shop is that they top their milk tea with shaved ice. When you take a sip, you get the refreshing taste of the shaved ice along with the milk tea. It's a delightful combination that is both refreshing and fun to chew.

This time, order both cups with regular sweetness.

The First Cup: A Delightful Blend of Pearls and Tea

The first cup was a delightful combination of chewy tapioca pearls and fragrant tea. The crushed ice added a refreshing touch, further enhancing the experience. The tea itself was aromatic and possessed a well-balanced sweetness, leaving a smooth and pleasant aftertaste. Notably, the sweetness level was higher compared to other bubble tea options, even though it was ordered with regular sweetness. However, it wasn't overly sweet like some bubble tea found elsewhere, striking a perfect balance. Overall, this first cup deserves a 4.5 out of 5 rating.

The second cup, Taiwanese tea, is fragrant and has a stronger tea flavor than any other tea I've had. The milk adds a touch of smoothness. If you like strong flavors, this is the cup for you! 5/5

Will you sleep tonight? Ask yourself...

To be continued... Back to Day 2 in Taipei.

Milk tea number 6

"Not yet, not enough," Uncle (a member of the gang) walked to find it in the food court on the lower floor of Building 101 and still bought it. I guess he's not satisfied yet.

This is an ordinary shop with no particular reputation. It was simply my uncle's thirst that led him there.

In terms of taste, Ochaya in our country is the best.

2.5/5 You can drag it.

Location: Taipei 101 Food Court

Milk tea number 7

I stumbled upon this shop at Gongguan Market. Later, I found out that it serves Indonesian tea. It caught my eye because the brewing method resembled our local "Cha Chak". But wait, there's more!

The highlight is the bag! She mixed it with a raw style, lifting it left and right, pouring it back and forth. She picked up a black bag and poured tea into it. Bam! (The kind of pitch-black bag we use for garbage) She put in a straw and used the skills of a rice seller in Udomsuk market to twist it with a rubber band. Oh, I'm so scared of the lady's bag!

Upon first sip, the drink reveals itself to be a milk tea. While not exceptional, it is far from unpleasant. However, the plastic bag in which it is served is a rather peculiar choice.

While our local iced milk tea is significantly more flavorful, if you're seeking the experience of drinking from a black plastic bag, then you might want to try "Noh."

(Day 3)

Eighth-ranked milk tea

This is a long-standing establishment, as I have read. Driven by sheer hunger, I decided to give it a try.

We ordered a 25% sweet milk tea with black jelly, similar to grass jelly but softer. We sipped it with a straw.

The taste was good, and they were generous with the grass jelly. The milk tea had a well-balanced flavor, but since we ordered it with less sugar, it tasted more like flavored milk.

This part of my friend's order is a regular milk tea with tapioca pearls.

Another one is plum and lime tea (I think).

Don't order!

Overall, 3/5, not flashy.

Just 3 days, viewers. To have come this far is beyond my wildest dreams. #humblysmiling

Let's sit at a cafe and sip some beautiful tea. #Looking up at the sky

Cut to...

The truth is that the accumulated fatigue and soreness finally reached a breaking point on the last day, forcing me to seek out a place to rest.

Okay, whatever. Order a cup of milk tea for 140NT to soothe your heartache!

The server brought our drinks, and I couldn't help but gasp. The glass was huge and looked amazing. I took a sip, and it was delicious.

Exquisitely refined, like rinsing a glass of milk tea with water. In simpler terms, ... (Please fill in the blank.)

0.5/5 #Rate the beautiful shop, clean bathroom. #Who wants to prove it, come! #Ximending #dogcafe

10th place milk tea

Creamy Milk Tea

This phrase describes a milk tea with a strong emphasis on the milk component.

Here's a breakdown:

  • ชานม (Cha Nom): This translates directly to "milk tea."
  • นมเน้นๆ (Nom Nen Nen): This is an informal expression that emphasizes the "milk" aspect. "เน้นๆ" can be interpreted as "a lot" or "extra," indicating that the milk is the dominant flavor in this drink.

We actually wanted the strong brother's tea bottle, but the bear brother wouldn't agree. He cried for milk, milk, milk. Okay, fine! Milk it is! Give me the money!

The first sip... oh my... the most disgusting taste in the world. Just a sip makes me want to throw it away, but it's a pity, so I want to return it to the seller and give them more money.

The tea has a strong floral scent and tastes overwhelmingly sweet like milk.

-10/5 #Please return the money. Bye!

Regarding other beverages...

While it may not be accurate to call it milk tea, this beverage belongs to the same series as the popular bottled milk tea brand. This particular flavor is white coffee.

The taste is like coffee with milk, but it's not really milky. It has a white chocolate flavor that strangely goes well with the coffee. It's actually delicious. If you like milky coffee, I recommend it. It's a new and unique flavor, but it's smooth and easy to drink.

Another one from the same series is a coffee with milk.

The text you provided is already in English. However, I can help you improve the clarity and conciseness of the sentence. Here is a revised version:

The coffee has an unusual but pleasant aroma. The flavor is stronger than the previous batch, which coffee enthusiasts might appreciate. Overall, it's decent.

Next up is the frog porridge, a must-try for everyone.

The sweet water with jelly is just okay. The jelly is very bland. This drink is just so-so. You won't miss much if you skip it, trust me.

Frog Egg Water

This is a literal translation of the Thai phrase "น้ำไข่กบ". It is unclear what the intended meaning is without further context.

Here are some possible interpretations:

  • Frog egg water: This could refer to the water in which frog eggs are laid.
  • Frog egg soup: This could be a dish made with frog eggs and water.
  • Frog egg drink: This could be a beverage made with frog eggs and water.

Without further information, it is impossible to say for sure what the intended meaning is.

The small, tapioca-like pearls have a similar taste to basil seeds, but they are larger in size. The sweet syrup is similar to a simple syrup, but it is not overly sweet. It is a refreshing drink that can help to cool you down on a hot day.

Finally, let's try some drinks from convenience stores.

This yogurt is incredibly thick, so thick that it shouldn't come with a straw. If you suck too hard, you might choke. But it's delicious and rich. #Please give me a spoon.

Cereal + Malted Milk

The milk is slightly sweet with a malty aroma. It pairs well with cereal and is a suitable breakfast option.
