Day 3
EP.1 "Mae Kampong Village"
The winding mountain road is narrow and steep, with waterfalls and streams providing a refreshing contrast along the way. The weather was excellent, with no rain today.
We have arrived at Mae Kampong Village, Mae On District, Chiang Mai Province. This small, cozy village is nestled amidst mountains and offers breathtaking scenery far from the bustling city of Chiang Mai. Its tranquility provides a haven for relaxation and rejuvenation for both residents and tourists alike.
The village path is a narrow road lined with wooden houses, with the lower floors made of concrete and the upper floors made of wood.
We chose to stay at Huen Uai in Mae Kampong village.
The "Heuan Uai" is a small wooden house with one bed for two people and a table.
The room is equipped with a bathroom, TV, and a gas water heater. Wi-Fi is available for guests.
There are 4 houses available for rent at 550 baht per person (including breakfast).

After checking in at our accommodation, we will drive to The Giant Chiangmai, a coffee shop located on a large tree. To get there, we need to drive to another village. Drive back the way we came in and turn right at the three-way intersection. Follow the road and there will be signs guiding you to the shop.
The shop is located on the way up the mountain. The road is very steep and narrow, so please drive carefully.
**Limited parking is available at the restaurant.**
The highlight of this restaurant is a giant tree with a wooden bridge leading across it. Inside, there are tables where you can order food and drinks. (It was a bit crowded today.)
The drinks at the shop are pre-brewed coffee, ready to serve.
Iced green tea + iced cocoa
