Hello, it's winter now. Where have you been traveling lately? I really want to go up north to bathe in the cool breeze and mist, and tease the cherry blossoms with him for a bit, but I haven't had the chance to go yet. So I'll just travel near Bangkok for now, driving comfortably.
This trip, I visited Kanchanaburi, a historical city, for 3 days and 2 nights. I paid my respects to King Naresuan the Great, for whom the province held a ceremony in his honor from January 17-28, 2017, at the King Naresuan the Great Monument in Don Chedi Subdistrict, Phanom Thuan District, Kanchanaburi Province.

This includes taking pictures of the Bridge over the River Kwai during the twilight hours.

On the first day, I left my house in Bang Bua Thong after noon. I drove leisurely following Google Maps, getting a little lost here and there (hehe). I took the Kamphaeng Saen route, Highway 346, heading towards Phanom Thuan District. Upon reaching Phanom Thuan, I turned left onto Highway 324 towards Kanchanaburi City. It wasn't far from Phanom Thuan before I reached the intersection leading to the King Naresuan the Great Memorial. There are actually two entrances, but I drove past and entered through the other one at Ban Nong Khao, which has a clear intersection and sign. The entrance archway has two large chickens welcoming visitors. If you're coming from Kanchanaburi City, turn right. If you're coming from Phanom Thuan, turn left to enter.

The monument of King Naresuan is located 4 km from the entrance. The entrance is 13 km from Kanchanaburi city, making the total distance from Kanchanaburi city 17 km.

Capture the image of the royal monument first during the day.

The sun is very strong. The sky is clear and the clouds are beautiful.

Various agencies have set up booths.

This is the Ferris wheel. I haven't been on it for a long time. I was very excited when I was a child.

The Yuthahathi Chedi.
.
Following the route into Kanchanaburi city, I used Google Maps to locate the Bridge over the River Kwai, taking Highway 324. The bridge is well-signposted, making it easy to find. However, parking can be a challenge. Arriving just before sunset, I found the bridge bustling with tourists, particularly Westerners, who were either strolling or taking photographs. Hoping for a beautiful sky, I wandered around, searching for the perfect angle.
.
It is a pity that the bridge itself has no lights. I think it would be nice to have some lights.
.
Without light on the bridge, I looked for a new angle to bring light into the frame.

Day 2
This afternoon, I returned to the event to take more pictures.
