Hike review: Sano Nok Wua Ridge Trail, a long trek across meadows and up mountains for stunning views!

Once upon a time, we had a wild desire to trek through forests, ascend streams, and descend mountains, no matter how muddy we got. Our hearts were set, and so we began planning. Coincidentally, we were in Bangkok at the time, but our hearts yearned for the north. Thus, we decided to conquer mountain peaks, gradually making our way north. Kanchanaburi became our first stop, with other mountains to follow in subsequent installments. This review is part of our extended journey, aptly named "The Superhuman Trip." Just how crazy and exhilarating it will be remains to be seen. But let's rewind and return to our starting point. Greetings from our first mountain, "Sarn Nok Wua."

"Sanknok-Wua," the edge of the Thungyai Naresuan Wildlife Sanctuary, is the highest peak in Kanchanaburi Province, located within the Khao Laem National Park. It stands 1,767 meters above sea level. For those seeking a hiking trail to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature, this mountain is an intriguing option. The prominent ridge resembles a cow's hump, hence the name "Sanknok-Wua" (meaning "cow's hump"). The sunrise and sunset peek through the mountain, creating a breathtaking spectacle. The magnificent sea of mist drifts overhead. So, what are you waiting for? Let's explore our backyard garden! It's time for some fun!

Tele Tubbies are here for this event. Who has seen them? Send pictures of crispy fish, haha.

We have reached the peak! Yay! The end... Oh, no, not yet! 555 The journey is about to begin, but first, we need to make a reservation! It's very easy. Let's go, boss! It's a 20-minute drive to the starting point. Easy peasy.

Supplies are ready. Let's go!

Really!! 555

Ready? Even if we're still confused, let's just go ahead. 555 Okay, I'll follow you.

Chapter 1: Our Journey of Learning

Once upon a time, there was a martial arts master who set out on a journey to the ends of the sky.

Seeking to find the lost peak.

There must be a tour guide (oops, it's actually a staff member 55).

Must have a beautiful view

Then he must be great.

The wind was strong by chance.

Out of breath.

There happened to be many people there.

Key principles for first-level hiking

This refers to calming the mind.

(Gather the food properly.)

Secrets of the art in the remaining chapters of the textbook.

Wandering around will eventually make you sweat.

The martial artist then descended from the mountain.

The heavy backpack weighed us down, making us truly tired.

Thus, it was intercepted when the dog's slope was there.

And was poisoned when there was an abundance of food.

Driven forward, propelled onward.

Exhausted, but the summit awaits!

Chapter 2: Before the Sky Brightens

After a grueling 9-kilometer hike, we finally reached our campsite. The wind was whipping from every direction, threatening to send us flying. We desperately clung to anything we could find to keep our balance.

If no one is around, just hold on to the tent legs and dance for now. 555

Regarding the provisions... Leave them there for now!

By 5 pm, we ascended to the viewpoint to capture the sunset's beauty. Afterward, we returned to prepare dinner. (Food is essential, but the view comes first!)

Oh my god! This is a view blocker!

How's the view?

The view is stunning. I had to take a picture.

Are you kidding me? The light has been gone since 4 pm. T_T I'm just sitting here feeling disappointed.

As the sun sets and the market closes, food becomes a top priority. Let's head down the mountain...

Part 3: A Million Stars Tonight

After failing to get a view, we will never eat "waew" (a type of fruit) again. Therefore, the matter of food is a piece of cake (not easy, but this is "moo" (pork) itself.

The grilling session was in full swing, with the labor and morale teams cheering from a distance, hungry... er, I mean, concerned. 55

Ingredients are ready, people are ready, let's go!! The work of the Housewives Association is also here.

The last one, no need to ask who made it, it's me! Yay! 55 Don't judge food by its appearance, the taste is tempting.

And with that, our extensive menu is complete.

- Fried egg

- Scrambled eggs with a vegetable, possibly zucchini.

- Stir-fried minced meat

- Canned fish salad

- Spicy and sour mushroom soup

And much more (I can't really remember 55)

Are we really going into the forest? We're living the good life here.

After a hearty meal, we sat around the campfire for a while. However, the relentless wind swirling around us made it impossible to stay outside any longer. We retreated to our tents, seeking refuge from the eerie atmosphere.

The stars tonight are truly beautiful, so many that I couldn't capture them (because I don't know how to take pictures lol). If anyone has beautiful pictures of stars with a clear sky, please share them.

Episode 4: Hunting the Bull God

At 5 am, it was an auspicious time to hunt for the sunrise. Those who were still fit could walk up the ridge of the big hill. It was higher and steeper than the ridge of the small hill. There were two viewpoints on this ridge. This morning, the weather was good, too good. The view was completely white. The fog came with great sensitivity to light. You had to keep a close eye on it. It could disappear quickly in 5 or 10 seconds. The sky opened and closed intermittently, teasing us. In this kind of cold weather, music is a must!!...

Before the sky is bright, before the warmth of the sun's rays.

Before the warmth of the sun's rays

Before the flowers bloom

Before the sweet dream

No one has ever been in the mountain.

Until she entered the tent.

It makes my eyes see the brightness.

No one has ever been by my side.

Until she came in

Empowering me to conquer the next peak.

On a solitary vista

Too much...

Chapter 5: Wrap-up

Our sincere gratitude to all 14 members of the trekking group who joined us on this adventure. We shared the fatigue, the fun, and even the food (with a bit of friendly competition!). Although the weather didn't always cooperate, we persevered and created lasting memories together.

Though the sky may be bright tomorrow, we shall meet again, with love and the end of the episode.

14 more people have arrived, bringing the total to 555. Goodbye and hello. ### Short clip to end the day.
