Greetings everyone, this post marks my first attempt at reviewing a restaurant (apologies for any mistakes). Due to our busy schedules and conflicting work hours, we rarely have the opportunity to meet. However, during this break, I decided to bring my partner here.
Note: The photo may not be aesthetically pleasing, as the photographer is not conventionally attractive. Is there a correlation? 555
The journey began on March 25, 2016. We arrived at Victory Monument around 9 am. We stopped for breakfast at Century for a bit. Then, we rushed to the bus stop to go to Koh Larn. We used the van service of a company, abbreviated as R. The fare was 92 baht per person. We waited for the van for about 30-40 minutes. Then, we set off! After a while, the van stopped to refuel. The driver said it would take 20 minutes. We bought iced green tea to drink, as it was very hot. Then, the driver called us to get on the van. What made us feel annoyed was the driver's behavior. It was okay that food and drinks were not allowed on the van, and we were wrong about that. But we didn't want to throw it away, and it was almost finished anyway. However, the driver talked rudely and condescendingly to the passengers, saying that we would leave the cup on the side of the seat and make a mess (we hadn't even thought of that yet). He kept complaining nonstop. When a passenger, a foreigner who didn't understand Thai, got on the van a little late (less than 5 minutes), the driver sarcastically said, "Are you late? Then wait for the driver for another hour." His attitude was... Oh, in our hearts, we prayed that we could get off the van already.
Let's continue. Then, when we arrive in Pattaya,
We arrived at the pier just in time to catch the boat. We were so excited! The boat ride to Koh Larn took about 30-40 minutes.
We then called the accommodation we had booked through Booking.com, specifically the one we had chosen at...
The Castle Resort
Upon arriving at the room, it was not yet ready. After waiting for about half an hour, it was finally time to check in. I was so tired that I just wanted to lie down! In the evening, we started to feel hungry, so we rented a motorbike through the accommodation. We agreed on a price of 300 baht per day. We then headed straight to Krua Cheliang Lom, a restaurant with a very romantic atmosphere. In my opinion, the food was not fresh and seemed to have been prepared a long time ago. I would rate it 5/10, but the atmosphere was nice.
I then returned to my accommodation to sleep, feeling extremely exhausted.
March 26, 2016 (Day 2): Today, my partner and I woke up to enjoy the breakfast provided by the accommodation, which was a delicious breakfast. Then, we went out to find something cool and delicious to eat because the weather was very hot. We ended up choosing Love on Sea Kohlarn restaurant.
Around noon, my partner and I started feeling hungry, so we went to a restaurant near our house. It was quite crowded, but the food was a bit too salty for our taste. In the evening, we went to Ma Ha Rak Cafe, which had a great atmosphere and a relaxed vibe. We highly recommend this cafe - the food was delicious, the music was pleasant, and the ambiance was perfect. ^^
On March 27, 2016, we checked out of our accommodation and went to stay at Sweet Box Bed&Breakfast. This is a cute, indie-style accommodation that uses shipping containers as rooms. However, we had bad luck that day, as there was a power outage on the entire island. My partner and I were hot and sweaty, so we sat at Soul Sweet, a cute bear-themed dessert shop in front of our accommodation.
Around 3 pm, almost 4 pm, the electricity came back on. We waited for a full 2 and a half hours. Let's take a look at the accommodation now.
As evening approached, my partner started to get cranky and say they were hungry. So, we decided to go find something to eat, because we're both big foodies! We ended up at Krua Puang Phayom, and I have to say, I'd give it a 9/10. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great.
Following their craving for sweets, the group opted for Maharak cafe once again, demonstrating their continued fondness for the establishment.
March 28, 2016 (the last day at Koh Lan) I don't want to go back. I woke up to a cute breakfast set from the accommodation.
We then prepared to return. Since we were already running late, we decided to have lunch at Khun P'Chin's restaurant near the pier. The food was delicious, I would rate it 8/10, and the prices were reasonable.
We then boarded the boat to return. Farewell, Koh Lan, my love. Thank you for being by my side.
We haven't found any or been bitten, thank you.
