Hello, I'm Seally-Go-Round the sea lion.

Due to my heavy workload, I have been unable to travel far lately. Instead, I have been taking short breaks near my home in Pattaya. These mini-trips help me to recharge and repair myself, so that I can continue working with renewed energy.

With limited time and a busy work schedule, finding a nearby getaway was essential. News of an authentic Japanese onsen opening near Thephra Phithak was a welcome discovery. Now, a relaxing onsen experience is just a short trip away, offering a convenient escape whenever the mood strikes.

Today, I tried this service for the first time. I came on a weekday at around 9:30 p.m. because I had to wait for the store to close. It might be a bit late, but it's okay. This place is open until midnight. ^^

The onsen in question is none other than... Yunomori Onsen & Spa Pattaya.

Recently opened in Pattaya, I happened to visit during a promotion in December. The promotion offered free entry for one person when two people purchased onsen access on weekdays (Monday-Thursday). I took advantage of the promotion to try out the services. (I've actually been there twice now, as it's not too far from my house.)

The regular price for onsen here is **450 baht per person with unlimited time** from 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM. However, with the current promotion of "buy 2 get 1 free", the price drops to **only 225 baht per person**!

Let's get started...

😘

Yunomori Onsen is located on Thepprasit Road, between Soi 9 and Soi 11. If you are coming from Sukhumvit Road, turn left onto Thepprasit Road. You will find it on the left-hand side. You can park your car there.

The facade of Yunomori seamlessly blends Japanese and Thai elements, creating a unique atmosphere. The decor, music, and overall ambiance lean more towards Thai aesthetics, while retaining a subtle touch of Japanese minimalism.

Upon entering, proceed to the counter to register for services. The receptionist will inquire about the desired services. For onsen access only, the fee is 450 baht. After payment, a wristband will be provided, with the number corresponding to a shoe locker at the front.
This wristband serves as a payment method in the cafe zone and as a locker key in the onsen room. It is waterproof and can be submerged in water.

This is a great promotion! Buy one get one free for 450 baht (I wish they would have this promotion again ^^). Even without the promotion, it's still worth it. The onsen is great and you can stay there all day.

The number of the shoe locker in front corresponds to the number of the locker inside the onsen room.

First-time visitors need not worry about feeling lost or confused. Our knowledgeable staff will provide a comprehensive tour, guiding you through every nook and cranny of the facility and offering detailed explanations.

Note: The original text is empty, so the translation is also empty.

If you wish to receive a massage, the spa offers a variety of treatments at an additional cost to the onsen fee. Please inform the staff at the front counter of your desired massage or spa treatment.

The image depicts a group of people gathered around a table, engaged in a lively discussion. The table is covered with papers and documents, suggesting that they are working on a project or task together. The people appear to be from diverse backgrounds, with different ages, genders, and ethnicities represented. Their body language and facial expressions convey a sense of collaboration and engagement. The overall atmosphere is one of productivity and teamwork.

A café zone for relaxation and dining, offering food and beverages throughout the day. The café closes at 11 pm.

Before we proceed, let's head down to the onsen room first. It's located on the first floor.

The women's room is on the right and is red.
No photography or electronic devices are allowed inside.

At the front desk, you can exchange the coupon you received at the front desk for a towel and yukata to wear while inside Yunomori.

The wristband provided will serve as the key to lock your belongings and clothes in a locker while you enjoy the onsen.

Yukata comes in a variety of sizes and colors to choose from.

The items provided for use are:
- 2 towels: a small one for use in the onsen room and a large one for drying off in the dressing area (not allowed inside the onsen)
- Yukata robe with belt
- Black underwear and shorts to wear in the onsen. While traditional Japanese onsen require nudity, this establishment in Thailand allows for some covering for those who may not be comfortable being completely naked.

The image at the provided URL depicts a group of people gathered around a table, engaged in a lively discussion. The setting appears to be a casual one, with participants dressed in informal attire. The overall atmosphere suggests a sense of camaraderie and collaboration.

The top covers the chest, the bottom is a pair of pants. It doesn't cover everything, not because it's big, but because it's thin. But it's still better than being naked, right? In Thailand, our culture doesn't have this kind of thing, so we have to adapt to the times and circumstances. It's a good thing they didn't give us a sarong to wear in the onsen.

Due to the prohibition of photography and the use of any communication devices within the onsen room, I will provide a brief description of the experience.

  • Locker zone

The onsen features lockers for storing clothes and belongings while bathing. These lockers correspond to the numbered shoe lockers outside. The wristband serves as the key for both sets of lockers. Additionally, there are changing rooms equipped with amenities such as face wipes, combs, and hairdryers for freshening up after the onsen experience.

  • Shower area

Before entering the onsen, there is a bathing area similar to a Japanese public bathhouse. Low stools are provided for bathing, hair washing, and showering. Shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap are available, and they have a distinct Thai herbal scent.

  • Sauna and steam rooms are also available.

The facility includes a sauna and a steam room. The rooms are spacious enough. Users should take a shower before and after using the rooms.

  • Onsen room

The onsen room here is incredibly luxurious, with a variety of pools to choose from. These include:

  • Micro bubble bath for deep cleansing
  • Bubble bath for added moisture
  • Jet bath for muscle relaxation
  • Jacuzzi bath with massaging water jets
  • Cold bath to tighten pores and invigorate the skin (this one is very cold, even the seals wouldn't dare go in! Just dip your feet and splash some water on yourself)

There's also an outdoor pool where you can soak in hot water amidst the warm Thai weather, which is quite an experience. Additionally, there are dragon-shaped vats for a unique Thai-style soak. The water in these vats is not too hot, just warm enough to relax in. Stepping into the dragon vat feels like hiding from the ghost in the "Baan Phi Pob" movie (do you kids even know that movie?).

All this description might not paint a clear picture, but trust me, you have to try it for yourself! It's truly amazing!

After soaking in the onsen for a while, we went outside to relax at the Yunomori Cafe.

Let's put on our yukata and go for a walk! ^^

No need to worry about going hungry when you visit our onsen, as we have a variety of restaurants and cafes to satisfy your cravings.

Feeling hungry? Order food now! We have both drinks and Japanese-style food.

The decoration is in a classic Thai style, which is very cute.

Upon payment at the cashier, you will receive a coupon that can be redeemed for a complimentary bottle of water.

The menu features a fusion of Japanese and healthy cuisine, with a limited selection of Thai dishes. Prices are slightly higher compared to similar offerings outside the establishment.

He has already eaten at home, so he would prefer to just relax.

The kitchen is lovely.

Besides the cafe, there is a hidden relaxation room next to the dining area.

The relaxation room lives up to its name. You could comfortably spend the whole day here. There are rooms to relax and sleep in, food and drinks are available, and when you're bored, you can go for a soak. It's pure bliss.

Listening to soothing instrumental music can easily lull you into a deep sleep.

The other room has adjustable seats.

Photography is not permitted inside the onsen due to privacy concerns.

***Those who are shy or uncomfortable with bathing in an onsen or with others in public, and are worried about being seen (although the onsen is very kind and provides a thin chest wrap and underwear to wear instead of being completely naked in the original Japanese onsen style),

Consider visiting during late evenings, especially on weekdays after 9 pm. The crowd thins out, creating a tranquil atmosphere. It feels like enjoying a private onsen, offering a truly personal and intimate experience.

It's almost midnight now. I'm staying here with my friends until we all go home together.

Extremely comfortable....I love it! It's a relaxing and pain-relieving place near my home.

Deeply relaxed, feeling light and airy, as if my muscles have been rejuvenated. ^^

I'm going home to sleep. As soon as I get home, I'll jump into bed and sleep. I've already taken a shower.

See you next time.
