This resort was a serendipitous discovery I stumbled upon on Facebook. "Wow, this is amazing! Right by the river..." I thought to myself, instantly feeling a surge of excitement. I immediately began researching and planning my visit. While the resort may not boast the luxurious amenities of a 5-star establishment, it offers an unparalleled sense of warmth and immersion in nature. Come see for yourself... if you don't believe me.

I traveled from Bangkok using the route Nakhon Pathom, Ban Pong, Tha Maka, Kanchanaburi. The resort's coordinates are approximately 40 km from Kanchanaburi city center, towards Sai Yok district. The resort may be difficult to find as it is located deep within a soi. However, if you follow the GPS, you will surely reach your destination. (The resort is located within the Khao Noi River Park) Please refer to the map below.
My first impression upon arriving at the resort was the warm welcome with snacks and cold drinks. Even though I arrived late in the evening, Ms. Lee (the resort owner) was still waiting to greet me.
After finishing the Welcome meal, it was time to go up and see the room. The room I got was recently completed. The room is spacious and has the highest ceiling, offering a stunning view of the morning. The first feeling I had when I saw the bed was that I really wanted to lie down on it.
After a refreshing shower in our room, it was time for dinner. Tonight's menu featured a homemade steak prepared by the resort owner. Just the sight of it was enough to know it would be delicious, as steak happens to be one of my favorite dishes.

This resort offers a tranquil atmosphere due to its strict policy against social gatherings and entertainment activities, ensuring a truly relaxing experience. The serene environment is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet. Moreover, the exceptional service provided by the staff and owners, coupled with the delicious dinner, guarantees a pleasant stay.
Eight hours passed in a flash, with an indispensable cup of coffee to kickstart the day. Just the sight of the ambiance made the coffee taste delicious without needing much else. Haha.
Sitting in the cool morning air at the small hut by the river, undisturbed by anyone, is an indescribable pleasure. If possible, I would like to stop time here for a long time.
In addition, there is a balcony that extends out to be as close to nature as possible, providing a space for slow living.
After a short walk, we heard the staff calling us for breakfast. We hurried over, as usual, feeling hungry after waking up. Although the breakfast was simple and typical, the atmosphere made all the difference. We sat and ate leisurely, gazing down at the river and enjoying the cool breeze. This simple setting transformed our breakfast into a truly special experience.
After a satisfying meal, it was time to walk and digest, taking in the scenery around the resort. Everywhere you looked, it was green, a truly refreshing sight. This is what they mean when they say, "Green is the color that makes people feel the best." Follow me as we explore the surroundings.

This location also features a small pool for recreational purposes. Additionally, one aspect that I particularly appreciate is the presence of miniature potted trees strategically placed throughout the area, adding a charming touch to the ambiance.
Note: "Pingpalai" offers a variety of room types, including those with private pools. However, I did not capture any images of these rooms. My room had a river view and was located higher than the other rooms.

This room offers the closest proximity to the water. The balcony is located at the back of the room, allowing guests to step out and immerse themselves in nature with just two or three steps upon waking.
