The last 3 days of around north of Thailand road trip was Chiang Mai. The province in Thailand which I visit most often but difference part. And this time I want to stay on the mountain and also one night as close as possible to Doi Lhuang Chiang Dao.

17th July

After left Doi Mae Salong, Chiang Rai. We continue to Chiang Mai directly to Chiang Dao as we want to stay first night there.

But on the way we stopped for lunch at real local restaurant which we found on the way. And this lunch is special as we had North-Eastern food (Isan Food)

Because after BBQ, and northern food this is first Isan food during this trip

Small restaurant but the food is very delicious and very cheap

After lunch, continue some more hours to Chiang Dao

And finally, we arrived at The Wes Village which I had booked small cottage where we can see beautiful of Doi Lhuang Chiang Dao from the balcony

Lovely welcome drink set was served up on arrival by friendly staff

I booked the cottage which located a bit far from lobby (just 5 minutes' walk) and this is our room

Nice decoration, painting on the wall and furniture are really unique

And this is amazing view from our balcony

They have large space but built only few rooms and keep empty space to make visitor feel comfortable and relax and most of all enjoy the view

However, up on arrival I heard the horses so I asked them if I can try to ride the horse because I never try

And they say yest which made me happy and excited

This is my first time try riding the horse. 

Staff really kind and teach me how to get on the horse. 

As I never ride the horse before so he walked me and control the horse. Even I can not ride as professional but at least it made me feel so good. Horse is the animal that I like the most.

Unfortunately, we started walking around 15 minutes then it was raining then we have to return to resort. However, I had tried and enjoyed even it was very short ride

We return to the room and they prepared our dinner

And the food they prepared are good quality especially the seafood sauce

We enjoyed food but really cannot finish them all by 2 persons. The first day in Chiang Mai full fill with a very good place and good food.

18th July

06.00am I woke up same time to get morning shots

The weather in the morning was so good

And breakfast was so nice

After breakfast, we checked out and continue to visit another place call MUEANG KHONG before we go up to the mountain of Mae Taeng for the last night of this trip

MUEANG KHONG was in my list long time ago and finally this time is good time to visit them

Since it was rainy season so the water in the river changed to be brown but all area looks fresh and green

We visit the old temple in the middle of the village

Inside temple are simple but we can feel the respect of people in the village to the temple

We continue to see around the village

We cannot expect sunshine every day during rainy season, but I think the weather and this color of sky also nice. Everywhere feel calm and relax

We stopped by at a small cafe call RAK NER

This place is so nice

I order honey-lemon and she made it very delicious

Rainy season is the season of planting. Farmer preparing for their rice field

I'm sure that this village can make every visitor fall in love with their peaceful. I saw some homestay in the village surrounded with the rice field. It should be nice if we wake up in the morning here,the weather should be fresh and clean. May be next time I will stay here.

We left the village and continue to Mae Taeng district

But on the way, we stopped again for lunch

And this is my lunch

This is one of the good PHAD KRA PRAO that I ever had

And price very cheap. Most of all, besides of lunch I got another souvenir

Before we went up on the mountain. We stopped by at the cafe which I was there 2 years ago

This cafe located by the waterfall and their name is WTF coffee camp

We ordered passion fruit soda and ice lemon tea. Both are good

We spent time at the cafe and enjoyed drink with the view before left to Mae Taeng

And this is the place we stayed on last night of this trip. "Kep Dao camp"

And dinner which included in the package is BBQ (again)

But this one more item of seafood :)

And it was raining in the night, so it made the weather fresher and cool down. We had good sleep

19th July

06.00am I woke up and found this view from the room

Everywhere fresh after rain stop

And mist flying over mountains

And our breakfast time was very delicious while having it with this view

We spent time walked around the camp and get some nice photos before check out

We left the camp and went down to the city as today was last day of the trip and we have to return to Bangkok

We completed 7 days of this trip started from Nan-Chiang Rai-Chiang Mai and everywhere we visit are beautiful. However, there are many places we did not visit yet. So, surely, I will plan trip to the north again.
