"Chiang Mai: A Foodie's Paradise"
Chiang Mai, renowned for its captivating tourist attractions, also boasts a vibrant culinary scene, earning its title as a "foodie's paradise." From humble street vendors to elegant restaurants, the city offers a diverse array of delectable options.
During a recent train journey through Chiang Mai, organized by "ดินสอขอเขียน," we embarked on a culinary adventure, sampling the city's gastronomic delights. Our journey began with…
@ Coffee Smith, a renowned Korean coffee shop, is now serving its delectable flavors to coffee enthusiasts in Chiang Mai. The spacious and airy ambiance of the cafe provides a comfortable setting for patrons to enjoy their beverages. Open 24 hours a day, Coffee Smith welcomes customers at any time to savor its exceptional coffee creations.
This establishment boasts a diverse menu featuring both coffee and sweet treats. Coffee enthusiasts will be delighted by the Americano, crafted with meticulously selected Arabica beans, delivering a rich and robust flavor. For those who prefer chilled beverages, the iced green tea is a refreshing choice, offering the authentic aroma and depth of flavor that green tea aficionados crave.
The restaurant's signature dish, bingsu, is a must-try for any visitor. This traditional Korean dessert features finely shaved ice topped with sweet and fragrant melon. The "ดินสอขอเขียน" ordered the melon bingsu, which was a refreshing and delicious treat. The combination of the sweet melon and the icy shavings was perfect for a hot day.
Location: Star Avenue 5, Chiang Mai-Hang Dong Road, San Phak Wan Subdistrict, Hang Dong District, Chiang Mai Province.
@ The Salad Concept is a salad restaurant that allows you to design your own salad with your favorite toppings, including various meats. The price is very affordable, starting at only 69 baht per plate. There are also many different salad dressings to choose from. Today, we ordered the "Vegetable Salad with Grilled Chicken" served with Japanese salad dressing. The salad was fresh and delicious, with tomatoes, corn, and grilled chicken, drizzled with a tangy and salty dressing. We also enjoyed a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, which was sweet and sour and very refreshing.
The interior of the shop is spacious and decorated in a simple, comfortable style.
Location: 13 Nimmanhaemin Road, Suthep Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province.
@ Mai Bakery is a bakery tucked away in Anuban Road, Soi 2. Upon arrival, the first thing that "ดินสอขอเขียน" felt was the lush greenery, thanks to the abundance of trees and a small waterfall that creates a truly immersive natural experience.
The interior of the shop is decorated in a simple style, with each corner uniquely decorated, creating numerous beautiful photo opportunities. Mai Bakery offers a variety of delicious cakes, but the most notable is the "orange cake." This cake features a light and fluffy texture with a tangy flavor and a fragrant orange aroma. Alternatively, the "tiramisu" is equally delicious.
Location: Soi Anuban 2, Chang Phuak Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Province.
@ The Barn Eatery Design is a cozy cafe that feels like visiting a friend's home. The cafe features a glass-enclosed interior with cool air conditioning, as well as an outdoor area for enjoying the fresh breeze.
The shop serves both hot and cold drinks, as well as a variety of delicious snacks. Today, I tried the kiwi soda, which was a refreshing combination of sweet, sour, and fizzy flavors. I paired it with the young coconut pie, which had a light and fluffy cream filling and a perfectly balanced sweetness.

@ Past Perfect is a small shop located in the "Baan Khang Wat" project. The shop is decorated in a retro style and serves drinks, shaved ice, and egg yolk ice cream. "Dinso Khorkhian" couldn't resist trying the "Egg Yolk Ice Cream", which is made with raw egg yolks that are beaten until stiff, then topped with sweet and fragrant coconut ice cream. It comes with a chocolate-flavored Ohojo topping. This is a dessert that we highly recommend you try, as it won us over completely. We love it!

These are just a few of the delicious treats you can find in the trendy province of Chiang Mai. No matter how many times you visit, you're sure to have a wonderful and memorable experience.
