Life is a journey...
The journey has begun once again. This time, the destination is Loei Province. It's a ticket from AirAsia that was booked for 0 baht, so it's safe to say that it was booked a long time ago and forgotten about. For this trip, I mainly used public transportation. I took the BTS to Mo Chit and then took a bus to the airport. The main reason I didn't drive was because it's very difficult to find parking, especially on a Friday.
My flight is at 10:30 AM, but it's only 9:30 AM now, so I have an hour to kill.
I'm taking some photos and grabbing a bite to eat. For this trip, I'm mainly using my GoPro
because I want to capture some unique perspectives. But... to be honest, I'm just excited about my new toy.
"Passengers traveling to Lei, please proceed to gate number .................."
After the announcement, I shouldered my backpack, grabbed my camera, and headed straight for the gate.
This trip, I decided to splurge on a window seat, and I wanted to make sure I got the best view possible. So, I did some research to find the best seat on the plane. I found this information on Google, and I'm sharing it with you all. https://pantip.com/topic/31169150
The machine is about to start. Let me take a quick nap.
I opened my eyes again when the plane was about to land. There it is, Loei. It's beautiful, isn't it? I quickly grabbed my GoPro and took some shots. The view is just as you see it here.
And here we are at the airport. . .
The weather is nice... It's the perfect temperature... Fly with AirAsia for quality and value.
Upon arrival, I proceeded to the car rental booth located in front of the airport. Two female staff members were present to assist me. I would like to share their contact number for those interested in renting a car: 0973206963. Unfortunately, I cannot recall their names as I did not note them down.
After completing the car pick-up process and checking the car, we set off on our journey. The itinerary for this trip is as follows: Day 1: Chiang Khan; Day 2: City exploration; Day 3: Return home. On the way to Chiang Khan, we stopped at a gas station to make some purchases.
I've arrived in Chiang Khan. It's quiet and peaceful, perhaps because it's not peak season. I'm staying at Phu Chiangkhan, which costs around 1,000 baht per night. With the hot weather, staying in an air-conditioned room seems like the best option. I'll wait until the evening to go out and take some photos.
5:00 PM.
Opened the window and saw a light drizzle...
I'll wait a bit longer, wait for the rain to stop before going out to take pictures, find food, and take a walk.
In the meantime, I'll prepare the camera, this and that, and wait.
5:45 PM.
The rain has stopped. Let's go take some pictures. Look, the view of the Mekong River at sunset is beautiful, isn't it? ^^
6:45 p.m.
It's drizzling... Let's go for a walk in the rain
There are many cute shops along the way
There are all kinds of food, souvenirs, and everything you can imagine. The vendors are also very friendly.
It's so relaxing... I would like my friends to come and experience it.
There is a menu called "Chiang Khan Patong Go" which is said to be a must-try here. This shop is called "Jiggo Yai Sai".
Unfortunately, the shop is closed today. ToT
But it's okay, there is another shop in the morning market. I'll go and try it tomorrow.
8:00 PM.
Feeling hungry, let's have dinner. I'm having dinner here, a nice restaurant called "Huen Luang Prabang".
After eating, I'm going back to sleep to prepare for an early wake-up call to hunt for stuffed deep-fried dough sticks tomorrow. Good night.
5:30 AM
The alarm clock rings!
Brush your teeth, wash your face, and take a shower to watch the sunrise and offer sticky rice to the monks. Let's eat some deep-fried dough sticks!
In short, I ate the youtiao, but I didn't take any pictures because I didn't have my phone with me. I had the youtiao in one hand and the camera in the other, so I decided not to take any pictures. I'll just keep the memory.
Then we drove around Chiang Khan, starting from the public park - Kaeng Kut Ku.
After taking photos at Kaeng Kut Ku, we returned to pay respects at Wat Si Khun Mueang.
After that, we returned to our accommodation in Phu Chieng Khuan, showered, packed our belongings, and prepared to return to Loei City for the night.
Tonight, we are staying at Baiboon Grand, which costs 600 baht per night.
Upon arriving in Loei, we paid respects at the city's sacred shrines, including the City Pillar Shrine and the Shrine of Chao Pho Kood Pung.
Just outside the city, you'll find the pagoda of Wat Tham Pha Pu... I'll copy some details for you. For more information, please visit the following link: http://maloei.com/place/90-watthamphaphu
For the last day, I woke up early and had breakfast at a local restaurant before heading straight to the airport.
Thank you to everyone who has read this far...
