The extreme heat prompted this trip.
In this hot weather, a trip to the beach is a must.
In fact, Haad Nam Sai wasn't on our original itinerary, and we had never heard of it before.
We were actually heading to Ko Samet, but when we arrived around 8:00 AM, the ferry tickets were sold out. We saw a sign for Haad Nam Sai and decided to head there instead.
The crystal-clear waters of Haad Nam Sai beach are located within the Naval Special Warfare Unit of the Royal Thai Navy in Sattahip district. This beach is situated near the ferry pier for Koh Samaesan.
To reach Haad Nam Sai, travel to Sattahip district and visit the Thai Marine Science Museum. Upon reaching the military checkpoint, continue driving until you reach a fork in the road. Turn left and drive a short distance to find the parking area for Haad Nam Sai.
As Haad Nam Sai is a military-controlled beach, visitors are required to park their vehicles and pay a 15 baht entrance fee to access the beach.
After paying the entrance fee, you will receive a card that allows you to board a shared taxi to reach the beach. The journey takes approximately 2 minutes.
For those who wish to swim, it is recommended to bring a change of clothes, as there are shower rooms available on the beach. These shower rooms are more numerous and cleaner than those located near the parking area. The shower rooms have a usage fee of 5 baht.
We have arrived at Sai Kaew Beach, a stunning beach with crystal-clear water. There are restaurants on the beach where you can purchase food, or you can bring your own provisions.
As there was a coffee addict in our group who would suffer from headaches without their daily fix, we were relieved to find a fresh coffee shop at the beach after forgetting to stop at one earlier. Otherwise, the trip would have been far less enjoyable.
This is a shop run by the Navy Wives' Club (if I remember correctly). Inside the shop, they sell freshly brewed coffee, various beverages (beer, soft drinks, bottled water), and a wide variety of souvenirs.
Sipping coffee by the sea offers a different kind of atmosphere.
During the holidays, the place gets crowded. There are rental services for mats and inflatable rings. The mat rental fee is 20 baht, while the inflatable ring rental fee is 30 baht.
Scuba diving services are available, but the price is unknown as I did not inquire. The staff will take you by boat to the coral reefs, as shown in the pictures.
On the left side, there is a mountain-like protrusion with rock formations, providing a picturesque backdrop for photo opportunities.
Wear shoes, as the rocks may cause injury.
The water is so clear that you can see crabs, and in some places, you can even see fish swimming.
The beach is spacious enough to play football on.
Reaching the sea, I had to take a picture.
Arare has arrived.
Coming to the sea, you have to play in the water.
To cool down on a hot day, there's nothing better than a refreshing dip in the water.
Before we part, we have pictures of sea dogs and seabirds to share.
For those with limited time, a relaxing getaway at this location is highly recommended. It's the perfect place to recharge before returning to the daily grind.
The water here is truly crystal clear, just as its name suggests.
