Greetings! Mang Noi invites you to visit a brand-new museum that just opened in early April. It's called "Parody Art Museum: The Museum of Parody Art," and it's the first of its kind in Thailand. Since it's so close to home, we couldn't resist paying it a visit.
Initially, I was unaware of the existence of this newly opened tourist attraction, as there were no billboards advertising it along the main road. However, as I was driving along North Pattaya Road, I noticed a billboard that piqued my interest. Upon further investigation, I was immediately captivated. As an art enthusiast, I couldn't resist grabbing my camera and heading there.
Getting there...super easy if you're coming from Bangkok. Take Sukhumvit Road towards Pattaya, and keep going straight. Once you pass the Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital, look for the North Pattaya sign and turn right. P.S. The photo was taken during a traffic jam.
Approximately 2-3 kilometers ahead, you will see a billboard featuring a voluptuous woman in a bikini. Her prominent figure is sure to catch your eye. Be prepared for her ample assets to fill your field of vision.
The most prominent landmark is directly opposite Pattaya City Hall. After making a U-turn, proceed past the entrance to Lotus Pattaya North. Enter the alleyway next to "Jay Juk Seafood" restaurant. The destination is approximately 150 meters from the entrance. If the directions are unclear, please refer to the map again.

Upon arrival, the museum was surprisingly quiet, with hardly any visitors. I was slightly taken aback, wondering if it was actually open or just a trial run. Looking around, I noticed the abundance of parking spaces, seemingly anticipating a future influx of tourists. Determined to see what it had to offer, I decided to venture inside.
The building is brightly colored and adorable.
Open daily from 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM. Regular admission is 250 baht for adults and 100 baht for children. Currently, there is an opening promotion: like and share the fan page publicly to receive a discount of 120 baht and 50 baht, respectively, until the end of May. (So hurry up and come now! If you're late, you'll have to pay full price.) It is expected to be fully open by mid-June 2017. After purchasing the ticket, I asked the staff and learned a lot about art. The staff said that the museum's parody zone is actually completed, and only the street art zone needs to be painted on the walls and the outdoor garden needs to be arranged a little bit. It is now about 90% complete, but it is open because they want street art enthusiasts to see the work of the graphic artists and the process of drawing. The artists are from both Thailand and Korea. For me, it's a good idea because if you really like it, you'd probably want to see it from the start of the artwork until it becomes a large image on the wall. From what I've seen and photographed, I'm amazed by the work and the skills of each person. The work is neat, the lines are sharp, and it's a pleasure to look at. Overall, it doesn't feel like it's not finished yet, and it's even better that I don't have to fight with other people to visit. I think it's definitely worth the ticket price right now. I encourage you to come soon. (P.S. There is a wall painting show today until May 7, 2017 only.)
Wow! Let me tell you, this place is huge! The exhibition area covers about 5 rai (approximately 2 acres). If you're a true art enthusiast, you won't get bored here. It's so much fun, you'll be snapping photos and wondering what you'll find next. I recommend dressing cool and wearing sneakers so you can walk around and take pictures comfortably. It'll be a blast, and you'll fit right in with the atmosphere.
Upon visiting, a friend asked if it was similar to Art in Paradise. I knew that this place was different from Art in Paradise because the latter focuses on 3D art that encourages audience participation. In contrast, this museum presents a novel form of art by juxtaposing renowned classical paintings with contemporary narratives, creating a unified experience. (Interestingly, both museums share the same owner.) Honestly, as I strolled through the museum, reading captions and taking pictures, I couldn't help but smile to myself. It was like being in a state of euphoria. The experience was an inexplicable blend of amusement and admiration. I kept thinking, "Wow! How did they come up with this? What a brilliant and adorable idea!" During my visit, a group of three foreigners were laughing even louder than me. Perhaps this is what it means to truly appreciate art.
I felt a pang of sadness, wishing I had a picture of myself with the street art. It was so cool, but I was alone. I decided to share the pictures with my friends to make them jealous.
Enough boasting, let's take a look at the pictures!

The GoPro perspective reveals distinct patterns and colors on the floor of each room. Notably, visitors are no longer required to remove their shoes due to the application of a double-layered coating that protects the artwork beneath.
The first zone we must pass through is a collection of parodies, each accompanied by an explanatory text detailing the source of the image and the original image before it was transformed into a parody that blends various narratives.

The Four Seasons of Venus
Concept: The Four Seasons of Venus
The concept of four seasons on Venus is a misnomer. Unlike Earth, which experiences distinct seasons due to its axial tilt, Venus rotates almost directly upright, with an axial tilt of only 3.4 degrees. This minimal tilt results in minimal variation in sunlight across the planet's surface, leading to a consistent temperature throughout the year.
Therefore, Venus does not experience the traditional four seasons like Earth. Instead, it has a more nuanced temperature variation driven by its slow rotation and thick atmosphere. The planet's dense clouds trap heat, creating a runaway greenhouse effect that maintains a scorching temperature of around 462 degrees Celsius (863 degrees Fahrenheit) day and night.
While Venus lacks the distinct seasonal changes of Earth, its atmosphere exhibits subtle variations in temperature and cloud cover over time. These variations are not driven by solar radiation but by atmospheric dynamics and the planet's slow rotation.
Therefore, it is more accurate to describe Venus as having a "seasonless" climate with minimal temperature fluctuations rather than four distinct seasons.

A portly ballerina
This translation aims to capture the essence of the original phrase "A fat ballerina" while using more formal and nuanced language.
- Portly: This adjective suggests a larger size without being overly negative or judgmental.
- Ballerina: This noun retains the original meaning of a female ballet dancer.
The resulting phrase is concise, objective, and avoids potentially offensive language.

This is just a small part of the parody zone. I can't take pictures of everything, or others won't be excited, right?
The interior was impressive, but the exterior was even more so. The presentation was so evocative that it felt like being on a real street art scene. It was amazing.
The murals on the walls were incredible. The artist's skill and creativity were truly awe-inspiring. It was almost enough to bring tears to my eyes.

Today, they are still spraying paint at about 4-5 points. It's a pleasure to watch.
They spray once, climb down the stairs to look, and then climb up to spray more. This cycle repeats hundreds of times at each point. Seeing the dedication of the artists makes me appreciate and feel connected to each image even more.
The color makes me want to be naughty and inject it for fun. 555

The final zone will be a pink room with a 360-degree LED screen for viewing moving images.
How are you? Did you enjoy the new tourist attractions that Mang Noi recommended today? Finally, I would like to say that this place makes art that some people may not be interested in, become fun, have stories, have humor, and have hidden jokes in each picture for you to think about. If you bring children, they will have questions like, "Why is this?" and "Why is that?" It will probably make adults have fun too, thinking and explaining. It helps create new learning, build relationships in the family, or have new activities together.
As expected, Mang Noi will definitely have to come back and fix it with her friends again. So that she can have beautiful pictures with them. Today was fun, very happy. Goodbye for now, see you at the Pet Expo review at Sirikit Park. Hello...
