My world expands with every journey I embark on, for I firmly believe in making the most of each day I am blessed to experience on this earth.

Chiang Khan is a well-known tourist destination in Thailand. I have visited Chiang Khan countless times, but I have never written a review about it because there are already many reviews available. However, I recently came across some photos that I couldn't resist sharing, so I decided to create this post. In this post, I will take you on a walk through the Chiang Khan Walking Street from my perspective. (Please note that this is just a walk along the street, as I have never been able to wake up early enough to see the morning mist or participate in the alms-giving ceremony due to my late-night revelry.)

Chiang Khan is a popular tourist destination in Thailand, ranking among the top choices for relaxation. Whether it's for an overnight stay with family, a leisurely stroll, a quick visit, a heartbreak escape, a boredom buster, or a change of scenery (not to mention alcohol, just kidding!), I've visited Chiang Khan for almost all of these reasons. Let's start with my most recent trip, during the last winter season.

***Mostly pictures, and the information may not be very accurate. As I mentioned earlier, I didn't intend to write a review, so please bear with me. Haha.

The main purpose of this post is to simply inform you that Chiang Khan is a great place to visit at any time of year, but the number of people and shops will decrease depending on the festival.

February 2017

This time, I came to visit with my colleagues from the hospital. Since our workplace is in Nong Khai, Chiang Khan was a convenient stop on our way back along the Mekong River. And of course, we didn't miss the opportunity to visit.

We traveled from Phu Ruea and arrived in Chiang Khan around four in the evening, just as the sun was setting.

This coffee shop has automatically become my go-to spot because every time I go, I have to stop by. The taste is perfectly balanced and delicious.

The sunlight reflected beautifully, making me want to say, "It's so beautiful!" As soon as we arrived, we couldn't wait to start exploring.

We strolled along, searching for local delicacies. One of my favorites, which has been a staple in Chiang Khan for a long time, is grilled shrimp skewers. I always try them at every stall I pass. The flavors are generally consistent, but I recommend opting for freshly grilled skewers for the best experience.

Enough is enough, let's go. After eating shrimp, my mouth starts to taste fishy. Don't wait, the draft beer is waiting. Let me tell you, draft beer is another reason why I love going to Chiang Khan haha.

Walking and walking, each shop is very chic and cool.

Another important landmark in Chiang Khan that no one should miss is the Sunetda sign. Haha, I didn't miss it either.

We then continued to wander around, buying snacks as we went. Food is a big deal for us, and each of us could easily have been mistaken for a well-fed piglet.

The typical appearance of street food is as follows:

Having arrived, it would be impossible not to stop by my regular beer bar. This is the place, Ploy Saeng Bar. However, I didn't take any photos of the atmosphere inside the bar, so I'll share the atmosphere behind the bar instead. As for the atmosphere in front of the bar, it will be in the next section.

We initially planned to sit for a short while, but before we knew it, it was 8 pm. Time to get up and head back, work awaits!

This is another colorful scene on the walking street. Oh, someone is looking at me. Are you looking at me? I'm shy.

Before leaving, I pushed my brother to stand for a hipster photo with another landmark of Chiang Khan. But judging from the picture, it looks more like a hippopotamus than a hipster, doesn't it? Haha, just kidding, brother.

After a satisfying walk, it was time to return to the event, marking the end of our singlehood walk in Chiang Khan.

February 2015

Like last time, I stopped by the same place with the same colleague. However, this time, the beautiful flower field was an added bonus. But now, I don't see it very often. Or maybe it's because I went there, and all the flowers died. Haha.

This time, we came from the community. When we reached Kaeng Kut Ku, before entering the Chiang Khan Walking Street, there was a beautiful flower field that dazzled our eyes. Why wait? Let's pay the entrance fee of 30 baht. After paying, we didn't hesitate to take a lot of pictures. However, there aren't many pictures of me in the flower garden because it clashed with my fierce-looking face. So I was too embarrassed to take pictures.

The flowers have tall and short stems alternately. Don't ask me the name of each plant, because I don't know either. Come on, brother, come on.

I thought it was the shampoo presenter himself.

A group photo before we go for a walk.

This time, the style is very frilly. Most of it is similar to every other time I've been here. I stop by the same shops, take some photos with landmarks and shops, take photos and then take photos. After taking photos, I go back. I have to say that coming to Chiang Khan is no different from changing the atmosphere of taking photos. Do I get bored? Well, no, haha (asking myself and answering myself).

After taking photos to our satisfaction, we returned to Nong Khai.

October 2016

This time, I came here to stay overnight unintentionally. I came because my friend was sad and heartbroken. The main reason I came was to change the place where I drink beer. But the atmosphere here is quite okay because it's not too hot and I don't have to walk much either. Haha.

In the guise of two young men with two different perspectives, I would like to say that I have been to Chiang Khan with them quite often, probably 4-5 times.

"If you come here and don't try the grilled shrimp, it's like you never came at all."

This is the storefront, the chimney light I mentioned earlier. Today, I just came to relax. Mostly, I walked around looking for things to buy and then drank beer and chatted with people. The hotel we are staying at is on Soi 5. I can't remember the name, but the atmosphere is great. There is a rooftop on the third floor, and the back of the room has a balcony that extends out with a clear view of the Mekong River.

This trip was nothing more than a way to relax and unwind. I must say, Chiang Khan is a great place to do just that.

May 2017

This time I tried traveling by bus. But I have to say, haha, it took a really, really, really long time. Especially the Udon Thani-Loei route, what was that all about?

I started from Udon Thani Hospital - Loei - Chiang Khan.

Board the bus at Udon Thani's inter-provincial bus terminal (BKS.Nok). The ticket price is 91 baht.

From there, to Loei, I waited at Nakhon Chai Si and then went to Chiang Khan for 34 baht.

The rain fell throughout the journey, but I must say, it had a different kind of beauty. There was a light mist floating all around.

Then, as a courtesy, take a walk.

Take a photo with the landmark and then sit and enjoy a beer by the Mekong River. The atmosphere is amazing.

I originally planned to come here, my regular coffee shop. Haha, luck is on my side, the shop is closed. I can't eat it.

Don't give up, try a new restaurant. This restaurant has a great view and a wonderful atmosphere.

After finishing my coffee, I started my journey back home, as the distance was still very long. This trip made me realize that it is possible to travel on a budget, as visiting Chiang Khan is not as expensive as I thought. This marks the end of my trip.

The final trip.

January 2015

This trip, if you ask me how I got here, I would say it's because of my friend's craziness. We saw a documentary about Chiang Khan on TV and immediately started the car. Hmm, but this time it's beautiful. I think it's the most beautiful I've ever seen because it was drizzling and the fog was everywhere.

This time, as usual, I walked around eating beer and grilled shrimp. After the walk, I drove back to Khon Kaen. Am I crazy? This is the shortest time I've ever spent in Chiang Khan. Only 1 hour.

The atmosphere was well worth it.

Take photos with landmarks politely. After taking photos and eating, travel back to Khon Kaen.

That's the end of this post. If you want to be cute, you can call it sharing photos, haha. Thank you for reading my message and looking at my pictures. I apologize for any mistakes.

Happiness is always waiting for us to find it. I believe so.
