Another beautiful day for a journey. It wasn't anything more special than a Saturday or Sunday, and sometimes the journey wasn't anything more special than changing where we slept. This time, we at Journey Gallery tried something different from our usual forest and mountain trips. We decided to stay at a luxurious new hotel on the beach in Pattaya, the MERA MARE HOTEL at PATTAYA.

The journey for this trip requires minimal explanation. Simply drive from Bangkok onto the motorway heading towards Pattaya City. Turn onto Pattaya Central Road, or for an even easier option, set your GPS coordinates to the MERA MARE HOTEL.

We have arrived at the MERA MARE Hotel. After checking in, we were offered refreshing welcome drinks to help us unwind after our journey.

Our fatigue has vanished, and we're ready to head straight to bed and let out a gentle snore...or not! Our explorer instincts have been activated since our arrival. Let's take a tour of the various corners of this newly opened hotel, which hasn't even been around for two years.

The interior design is stunning from the moment you walk in, with a luxurious feel. There are many corners with unique designs that make you want to turn around and look again. The use of dim yellow lighting further enhances the luxurious atmosphere.

At the far end of the reception hall, there is a small mini-bar where you can relax and enjoy a light drink.

Having explored this zone, the hotel had just finished arranging our room. Let's go up and check out the room.

The establishment is relatively new, having been in operation for less than two years. As a result, the cleanliness is impeccable. Even the walkways exude a sense of freshness and cleanliness that surpasses that of supermarket food.

The MERA MARE Hotel has 80 rooms, and the room we will be staying in is a Delux room with a garden view.

Upon entering the room, one is greeted by an immaculate and pristine environment. The space is meticulously arranged, featuring a minimalist black and white color scheme that exudes elegance and sophistication. The room is thoughtfully equipped with all the necessities for a comfortable stay, ensuring that guests have everything they need within reach, should they choose to remain indoors.

The bathroom is clean and well-equipped, featuring a bathtub perfect for long, relaxing soaks.

In addition to the room we stayed in, we also had the opportunity to visit two other rooms: the two Suit rooms, but in different styles. Let's start with the first room.

This suite boasts a luxurious sea view and a single bed.

This room is equipped with everything you need. You can stay here and enjoy your vacation without ever leaving.

King-size bed, the atmosphere in the room is excellent.

The bathroom is spacious and spotless, featuring a transparent glass shower stall that offers a clear view from both inside and the bedroom. This design element could certainly enhance the intimacy of a couple's stay.

The room's awesomeness doesn't end there. As it's a sea-view room, how could it not have a view? So, sit back on the sofa and enjoy the stunning view of the Pattaya coastline.

This spot offers stunning sunset views over the Pattaya coastline, especially on clear evenings. Relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.

Let's pause our exploration of this cool room for now and move on to another equally impressive space. This time, we'll be checking out a room with a double bed.

This room will be decorated in a minimalist style, while still offering the same amenities as before.

Twin beds offer a comfortable sleeping arrangement for friends traveling together or couples who prefer separate sleeping spaces.

The bathroom also offers a view of the outside.

The luxurious ambiance of the rooms inspired a desire to indulge in a more opulent experience.

Suddenly, the sound of our stomachs growling forced us to put our daydreams on hold. We decided to satisfy our rumbling tummies at Pastry Addiction and October Sky, the hotel's very own restaurants.

The restaurant's ambiance was incredibly conducive to stimulating one's appetite. The sleek and luxurious decor evoked a sense of anticipation for the culinary excellence that was to come.

The Pastry Addiction and October Sky restaurants offer a wide variety of dishes to choose from. For our lunch, the hotel provided us with a delicious meal.

Let's start with the first menu item, "Fruit Som Tum".

This dish is our personal favorite. As a picky eater, we find this menu item to be a clear winner. The flavors are not overly intense, and the ingredients are perfectly balanced. Even for those who, like us, are averse to both spice and vegetables, this dish is a delight.

The next menu item is "Braised Pork Noodles".

This dish is a bit spicy for those with sensitive palates, but it is still enjoyable due to its delicious flavor. Those who are not accustomed to spicy food may find it challenging.

"Crispy Shrimp Salad"

This dish is a crowd-pleaser, featuring large, succulent shrimp coated in a crispy batter and served with a refreshing salad. It's a satisfying meal that will leave you wanting more. (The writer's humor adds a lighthearted touch to the description.)

Another dish that we personally enjoyed very much was the "duck breast with orange sauce".

The duck breast, roasted to tender perfection, is drizzled with a zesty orange sauce, aptly named. Served with a medley of fresh fruits, each bite is a symphony of flavors that will leave you wanting more.

We concluded our culinary adventure with two delectable beverages: a refreshing strawberry smoothie and the exotic King of Fruit.

Having eaten our fill, we couldn't simply rest. Why waste free time? Let's continue our exploration and capture photos from various corners of the hotel.

The question of why we haven't ventured outside is easily answered: the relentless downpour has left us with no choice but to embrace the cozy confines of our hotel room and indulge in a day of blissful idleness.

The rooftop boasts a swimming pool. We will elaborate on its magnificence in a subsequent post.

Time flies when you're having fun... and we're hungry again! So we returned to our original spot, Pastry Addiction.

We warped to the dining table, where a magnificent feast awaited us, fit for royalty like Ms. Hrid.

First up, the "crispy soft-shell crab burger".

Although it may be a bit difficult to eat, once you take a bite and chew, you're sure to want to keep eating.

Another menu item we highly recommend is the "grilled beef tenderloin salad".

This menu is a must-try for meat lovers. The tender, perfectly grilled meat is drizzled with a savory Japanese dressing. Imagine the juicy, flavorful bites melting in your mouth. It's an explosion of taste that will leave you wanting more.

For those who are still not full from the savory dishes, you can continue with the sweet treats. They have a wide variety to choose from, including pastries, cakes, and bakery items. For those who love cafes and desserts, you don't have to go far.

After a satisfying meal, relax and enjoy the breeze and the view by the pool. This is another spot where, if the weather is good, you can swim while watching the sunset.

The air is so good here, it's making me sleepy. I'm going to go take a nap.

The scene cuts to the morning. As an active person, I headed straight to the gym. You might ask if I went to work out... not really, I was just curious about what it was like.

The fitness equipment here is as complete as a large gym, and it looks brand new and inviting. The most special feature is the front view, which offers a glimpse of the sea (even though it is partially obscured by coconut trees).

After much anticipation, the time has finally come to release the pigs into the pool. The morning atmosphere is perfect for playing in the water.

Let's go. If you want to go down, change your clothes first.

Exhausted and soaked from playing in the water, we decided to prepare our breakfast of stir-fried basil.

Breakfast is a buffet-style meal with a wide variety of options to choose from. Guests can conveniently select any dish they desire, including both savory and sweet options. The buffet is constantly replenished to ensure there is always an abundance of food available. (I must admit that I indulged in the delicious offerings, as everything was so appetizing.)

After a leisurely breakfast (which lasted until almost noon), it was time for us to check out. It was a shame that it rained throughout our trip, as if it was meant to keep us enjoying the hotel to the fullest.

After checking out, we spent the remaining time before returning to our saliva-stained pillows at home living a simple life befitting a simple vacation. This included strolling along the Pattaya beach in front of the hotel and enjoying some leisurely shopping at Central Festival, which was also conveniently located near the hotel.

Venture further afield to enjoy panoramic views of Pattaya Bay from the Khao Phra Tamnak viewpoint, offering a refreshing perspective.
