Inside Lanna Dusita Boutique Resort: Exploring Superior and Deluxe Rooms
Following our previous overview of Lanna Dusita Boutique Resort, this post delves into the heart of the experience: the guest rooms. We'll explore both Superior and Deluxe room categories, offering a glimpse into their unique features and amenities.
The Lanna Dusita Boutique Resort: A Tranquil Oasis in Chiang Mai
Nestled amidst lush greenery and boasting a serene atmosphere, the Lanna Dusita Boutique Resort offers a tranquil escape in the heart of Chiang Mai. This 30-room haven, designed with a harmonious blend of nature and modern amenities, provides a perfect retreat for discerning travelers seeking a rejuvenating experience.
Located just 5 kilometers from the bustling city center, the resort offers easy access to Chiang Mai's vibrant cultural attractions and historical landmarks. Its convenient location allows guests to explore the city's rich heritage and immerse themselves in the local charm, while also enjoying the tranquility of the surrounding natural beauty.
Let's start with the Superior Room, shall we?
Upon entering the room, the bathroom area is immediately visible. This includes the sink, bathtub, and toilet, which are separated from the shower area to minimize wet surfaces. The placement of the bathroom at the entrance is likely due to the desire to utilize the space at the back of the room, which offers a view of the Ping River, as a relaxation area for guests.
The room we visited features two single beds placed side by side to maximize space. The hotel has separated the dressing area, which includes the bathroom, from the relaxation area, which houses the beds and sofa, with a glass-paned partition. This allows for visibility into the dressing area and bathroom. This design is ideal for families with children, as parents can monitor their children playing in the bathtub from the relaxation area. However, for those seeking privacy, a blind can be lowered to cover the window.
The modern-style room is fully equipped with amenities, including a work desk, a small dressing table by the bedside, a mini-bar, a kettle, a refrigerator, and a flat-screen TV with a variety of channels to choose from.

Every room also has a balcony where we can relax, read a book, sip coffee, or lie down and listen to the sound of birds and trees. The balcony is spacious and has a long cushioned bench, making it perfect for lounging.
Superior Room: Ideal for Relaxation and Business
This Superior Room offers an excellent value for its price. Its size is perfect for friends or couples looking for a relaxing getaway, as well as for business travelers who require convenient amenities. The room features high-speed Wi-Fi, a work desk, and other equipment to ensure a comfortable and productive stay.

The Deluxe Room Layout
The Deluxe Room we viewed features a layout similar to the Superior Room. Upon entering, guests are greeted by the bathroom, which boasts a garden view from the bathtub window. This allows for a relaxing soak while enjoying the scenic surroundings.
The bathroom is divided into dry and wet areas by a partition, with a separate shower room. It is well-equipped with both bathing facilities and a hairdryer. The two large glass windows provide ample natural light without compromising privacy, as the exterior is a lush garden that is not accessible to passersby.
Adjacent to the bathroom is a medium-sized room that serves as a workspace, clearly separated from the bedroom. This dedicated office space is fully equipped with amenities, including a telephone and high-speed Wi-Fi internet access.
The room also features a wardrobe and a minibar cabinet decorated with traditional Thai house patterns, which blend seamlessly with the other decorations in the room.

Stylishly designed minibar and wardrobe.
Adjacent to the study is the bedroom. The room we visited was a double bed room, separated by a beautifully painted moralistic screen depicting a bodhi tree. Inside, there was a thick, soft bed with numerous pillows, including decorative pillows used to adorn the bed.
At the foot of the bed, a decorative sofa provides a comfortable spot to relax and watch television or admire the scenic view of the garden and Ping River. The wall is adorned with wooden moldings, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere with contrasting gray and cream tones. An intricate gold-filled painting complements the room's décor.

Small and large lamps are arranged around the room, casting a warm, soft glow that is perfect for relaxation. Guests can watch television with over 40 channels or gaze out at the Ping River flowing gently from the comfort of their room.

The spacious balcony features a full-length cushioned bench and reclining chairs, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the garden, reading a book, or sipping coffee while taking in the stunning views of the Ping River.
The Deluxe Room offers more spacious and well-defined areas compared to the Superior Room, particularly the work area. This makes it ideal for individuals who require a dedicated workspace while enjoying their leisure or business trip.
Although the placement of the bathroom at the front of the room is not ideal, it is understandable as the back of the room offers a relaxing view of the Ping River. Overall, considering the price, service, location, landscape, and amenities, the value for money is excellent. We will review the breakfast and the hotel's charming coffee shop in the next post. Thank you for reading.
