Will it be a little blue? :)

Relax at [ Kalima+ChinoTown+TheFrutta ] and enjoy a beach trip to [ Koh Hey + Koh Racha by Golden Region ]

Following a trip back to Udon Thani with Thai Smile Airways in late December 2015, my sister won a round-trip domestic flight ticket. After much deliberation, we decided to take our parents on a trip to Phuket, as they had never been there before. My mother, however, expressed her fear of tsunamis and requested to stay in a location far from the sea. We began by booking flights from Udon Thani to Phuket with AirAsia, the only airline offering this route. After booking, AirAsia offered us discounted accommodation options. We initially considered staying at the Kalima Resort, but the high cost of 16,000 baht for two rooms, five people, and breakfast buffet during peak season deterred us. However, upon reviewing the options provided by AirAsia, we discovered that the Kalima was available for only 6,500 baht for two rooms. We immediately booked our stay.

The travel plan is summarized as follows:

March 12, 2015

7:00 PM - We arrived in Phuket around 7:00 PM (my sister flew Thai Smile, I flew TG, and my parents flew Airasia).

8:30 PM - Arrive at "Wan Jan" restaurant for dinner.

22:00 - Check-in "Chinatown" (4 people, 1,000 baht, no breakfast included). This is a great deal!

** The reason for choosing this hotel was because I thought it would be convenient to take my parents to Boonrat Dim Sum in the morning. Additionally, it is located near the shop and is easily accessible on Mondays.

March 13, 2015

8:30 AM - Staff from "Golden Region" will pick you up at "Chinatown" and check you out. Leave your luggage with the van.

** (Island Hopping Tour to Koh Hey + Koh Racha Day Trip 1,000 Baht per person including lunch, drinks, and fruits ... Excellent service, the view from the restaurant is amazing, my dear.)**

09:30 AM - Arrival at Chalong Bay Pier

11:00 AM - The boat heads to Koh Hey first.

11:15 AM - Arrive at Koh Hey. Enjoy your free time at leisure.

12:30 PM - The boat took us to "Ko Ra-cha" (the water is incredibly clear, I didn't think it would be this beautiful).

13:20 - Arrival at Racha Island after a 40-45 minute speedboat ride (the sea was slightly choppy, so my mother prayed the entire time as it was her first speedboat experience).

13:45 PM - The guide took us on a ride on an "e-taen" (a traditional Thai oxcart) to have lunch behind the island. (Wow, the view was amazing! So beautiful! I don't think we would have seen this if we had come with another tour group.)

2:30 PM - After lunch and sightseeing, the guide led us back to the beach, Ao Phatak.

4:00 PM - Return to Chalong Pier (Passing by Promthep Cape and Big Buddha)

4:45 PM - Arrived at Tha Ruea, Chalong, with a new van and a bag of clothes to check in at "T h e F r u t t a" (near Jungceylon and Bangla Road).

5:30 PM - Checked in at "T h e F r u t t a" (5 people, 2 rooms, 1,300 baht / excluding breakfast / worth it! Beautiful and clean rooms, close to attractions. Oh, I'm so happy!)

March 14, 2015

08:30 AM - A chartered car from "Adam" picked us up early in the morning for a tour of various beaches, starting with Patong Beach.

9:30 AM - First stop: "Ga Ran View Point" to enjoy the panoramic view of the three bays.

10:00 AM - Point 2: "Windmill"

10:30 AM - Point 3 "Phra Mahathep Cape" (Wow, I just realized that it's even more beautiful to visit here at noon than in the evening!)

12:00 PM - Point 4 "Had Rai Wai" (Stop to buy fresh, clean, and very cheap seafood to cook for dinner. There are also restaurants that can cook your food for you.)

1:30 PM - Point 5: "Grand Temple" (Magnificent, nearing completion. Amen.)

2:30 PM - Location 6: "Wat Luang Pho Yai (also known as Wat Chalong)" (Visited twice, but never entered the pagoda)

3:00 PM - Spot 7: "H M O D U M G" restaurant (the seaweed salad was delicious, I've never had it before; the stuffed fish was also very good).

5:00 PM - Check in at "K a l i m a" (magnificent and luxurious)

March 15, 2015

8:00 AM - Breakfast (buffet with a wide variety of food options)

12:30 PM - Check-out

2:00 PM - Arrive at the airport - Go home

This is the flight back to Udon Thani.

She won a prize when the airline hid a ticket in front of her seat. She won a prize worth thousands.

This is our flight itinerary: Bangkok - Phuket - Bangkok.

We arrived at Phuket Airport as the second person (the first was my sister, the last were our parents).

In the evening, there were many people walking on Mai Khao Beach.

The restaurant was delicious and lived up to its reputation. The prices were also reasonable. I enjoyed my meal very much.

While waiting for the food, I caught a glimpse of the uncle's adorable corner.

The food was plentiful, and we ate a lot. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture everything on camera.

After enjoying the long-awaited southern cuisine, it's time to rest. The first night's accommodation is "C h i n o t o w n", not far from Wan Chan Restaurant. You can walk from Wan Chan Restaurant to the accommodation. The method is to walk across the road from Wan Chan Restaurant, pass the gas station, turn left into the alley, and you will find "C h i n o H o s t e l". "C h i n o t o w n" is in the next alley, turn left and it is a dead end (for sure, please check the hotel map).

Walk straight into the alley and you will see the sign. ... Personally, I really like this place. The price is cheap, clean, the staff are friendly. The hotel is small but beautiful in every corner. You can take pictures in every corner. The bathroom also has hot water, separate dry and wet areas, and provides soap and shampoo in bottles. The room is spacious, has a balcony, a table on the balcony, a wooden hammock for relaxing, a sofa, a dressing table, everything for 1,000 baht / 4 people.... I really like it, I tell you!!!

8:30 AM - Staff from "Golden Region" will pick you up at "Chinatown" and check you out. Leave your luggage with the van.

** (Island Hopping Tour: Koh Hey + Koh Racha Day Trip - 1,000 THB per person, including lunch, drinks, and fruits)

Note: Please be on time, or the driver will really complain. (That's what I like.) The driver told me that he once waited for a Chinese group for an hour because they overslept. However, there was another group that was only 3 minutes late, and they got angry and refused to go and demanded compensation. Well, there are all kinds of people.

In less than 30 minutes, the van dropped us off at Chalong Pier. We traveled by speedboat.

The majority of the people were foreigners, with fewer than 10 Thai people, including our family.

Less than 20 minutes from Chalong Bay Pier, we arrived at our first island, "Ko He". The water was crystal clear.

Upon arrival, we immediately basked in the sun, soaking it up without shame in front of the foreigners. The guide allotted us approximately one and a half hours to spend on the island.

After relaxing on the beach for a while, the guide called us back to the boat. Our next destination was "King's Island."

This island is a bit further away, approximately 30-40 minutes by boat.

Racha Yai Island

Racha Island is a popular tourist destination known for its white sandy beaches. The western beach, shaped like a horseshoe, is called Ao Putak and boasts fine white sand and crystal-clear water, reminiscent of the Similan Islands. Located west of Phuket Island, Racha Island is approximately 15 kilometers away and covers an area of over 3,000 square kilometers. The island features flat land and low hills. Locals have settled on the island, establishing coconut and fruit plantations. Approximately 16 families reside on Racha Yai, while the flat land near the sea has been developed by locals and investors into accommodations and restaurants to cater to tourists.

Racha Island, Phuket

West Bay, also known as Patok Bay, is the most beautiful bay on Racha Island. The soft, white sand beach is perfect for relaxing and sunbathing. It is also home to the luxurious The Racha and Raya Resort.

The weather that day was scorching hot, almost unbearably so. Before swimming, we sat down to wait for lunch, which the guide informed us would be served around 1 pm. We had to wait for the group that was diving on the other side to finish so that we could all eat together.

Waiting, hungry.

While waiting for our meal, we chatted and gossiped. The distant view is a scenic spot, but it's too hot to walk there.

At 1:30 PM, the guide and the diving group arrived as scheduled. We had to walk up to the point where the "e-tan" car would pick us up to go have lunch at the end of the island, which had an amazing view.

**Lunch Menu:** A variety of dishes were available, including plain rice, stir-fried spaghetti, mixed vegetable stir-fry, fried chicken legs, and possibly tom yum soup. The total number of dishes was approximately 4-5, along with a vegetable salad. Beverages included complimentary plain water, while other options such as Coke and beer were available for purchase.

After finishing our meal, we prepared to board the same open-topped truck that had brought us earlier. The truck would take us to play in the water before returning to Ao Pa Tak.

4:00 PM. It's time to head back to Chalong Bay. Overall, I was impressed with the tour company. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the view from the restaurant was stunning. It was a different perspective of the island that we wouldn't have seen if we hadn't gone on the tour. The boat transfer was safe, and the van service was excellent and punctual.

Around 5 pm, the van dropped us off at "The Frutta". (The reason I chose this hotel was because I thought I would have time in the evening to take my parents to Jungceylon or Bangla Road. However, in reality, I didn't have the energy to walk anywhere. I ended up ordering a buy-one-get-one pizza to eat at the hotel.) However, there are restaurants downstairs at the hotel, or you can walk to the street next to the gas station where there are many delicious restaurants with large portions.

The "T h e F r u t t a" restaurant offers a great deal for two people and five dishes for just over 1,000 baht. This is an excellent value for money.

Amenities include a swimming pool, sauna, and fitness center.

March 14, 2015

8:30 AM - After checking out of The Frutta, "Adam" picked us up early in the morning and took us on a tour of various beaches, starting with Patong Beach and continuing on.

The first stop is the Three Bays Viewpoint.

Looking directly at this point, you can also see the Big Buddha Temple.

The second spot is the area around the windmills before Laem Phromthep. I don't know if it was good luck or bad luck, but it was extremely hot that day, so I could see the beautiful colors of the sea (I've been there 3 times now, and I think this was the most beautiful).

The third landmark is Promthep Cape. The beauty remains unchanged. I'm glad my parents had the chance to see the beautiful sea and the pleasant atmosphere. "I'm happy every time I see your smile."

Point 4: "Raiwai Beach"

I bought groceries to stock up for the evening because I heard that there are restaurants here that will cook for you. You just need to buy fresh ingredients and give them to the restaurant. They can boil, stir-fry, curry, deep-fry, or steam anything you want. The price depends on the weight of the fresh ingredients.

Point 5: "Wat Phra Yai"

Point 6: "Wat Chalong"

The photos become fewer and fewer because the sun is scorching hot and I'm starving. But I have to save my appetite for the restaurant at the fortune teller's place. To enjoy the experience, I have to endure... Yay! Let's hurry up and pray, then go back. 555+ I'm so hungry that my vision is blurry, and everything I take a picture of is tilted.

Point 7: "หมอ มูดง" Restaurant

The easiest way to get there is to enter the zoo lane. Then, go towards Pa Lai. You will see a large sign. I apologize for forgetting to take a picture of the storefront.
As for the food at this restaurant, everything is a must-try. It's incredibly delicious and flavorful. I wasn't able to take pictures of many dishes because I was so hungry. We arrived around 2:30 PM, and my parents hadn't eaten all day, so I felt a little guilty.

Our accommodation for tonight, "k a l i m a".

After lunch at the หมอมูดง restaurant, Adam's car dropped us off at the hotel around 3:00 PM. After checking in, we prepared the following documents: 1. ID cards of at least 2 guests. Once the information was filled out, the staff escorted us to our room. The room I booked was a Deluxe room with 2 connecting rooms on the 5th floor at the back of the restaurant with no sea view. The room accommodates 5 people (the 5th person is an extra charge of 1,500 baht, including breakfast).

Note: Visitors are not allowed after 7:00 PM.

After changing clothes, we took her to play in the water. She had a lot of fun and wasn't afraid at all.

The view from Mallika Terrace restaurant is breathtaking, offering a clear panorama of Patong Beach. The stunning scenery is truly captivating.

After enjoying the sunset, it was time to shower and have dinner. We dined in our room, enjoying seafood purchased from Rawai Beach and a few dishes from Mom Moo Dong restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious.

The last day, a morning we didn't want to remember. We woke up early to enjoy the hotel view, had breakfast, and packed our bags to check out and go home. For the trip, we arranged for the same car we hired from Adam to pick us up and take us to the airport (the flight was at 2 pm, so we left plenty of time in case of traffic jams. I almost missed the flight, but luckily the captain was kind).

Let's talk about breakfast.
The food is diverse, and each item tastes good. It's not too bland or too strong, but rather delicious. What's on offer? Take a look (Oh, there are also baked goods, but I forgot to take a picture).

In conclusion, I would like to say that Kalima is excellent in every aspect, from its decor to its location and service. If the opportunity arises, we will definitely meet again. Farewell, Phuket.
