For me, stepping out to new places is like giving myself a gift. Some people might think it's pointless and wasteful, but I believe that we should make the most of our lives on this earth. Do what makes you happy, as long as it doesn't harm others.

This post contains some images that I previously wrote about in the post "Sipping Beer to Make the Fish Jealous @ Koh Tao," which was my first attempt at writing. However, this time I have taken the liberty of rewriting it in a purely Koh Nang Yuan edition.
Koh Nang Yuan is an island where you can either stay on the island or visit it. On this trip, my friends and I chose to visit, but we stayed the whole day, haha. We stayed on Koh Tao and set aside one full day to visit Koh Nang Yuan.

- There are two routes to choose from: take a boat from Chumphon Province or Surat Thani Province. You must first travel to Koh Tao before continuing by boat to Koh Nang Yuan.

Our group traveled from Chumphon Pier to Koh Tao. There are several piers available, and most ferry operators offer pick-up services from the bus or train station to the pier. Additionally, there are car parking facilities near the pier. We boarded the Lomprayah High-Speed Ferry at Tung Makham Noi Beach, approximately 28 kilometers from Chumphon city. The ferry ride to Koh Tao takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes, and the fare is around 450 baht per person.

Nang Yuan Island, a small archipelago of three islands connected by a pristine white sandbank, is situated just 480 meters from Koh Tao, Surat Thani Province. Legend has it that a Vietnamese woman (ญวน) was once stranded on the island by a storm, hence the name Nang Yuan, which translates to "Island of the Vietnamese Woman."

The highlight of Koh Nang Yuan is the sandbar that connects the three small islands, resembling the Talay Waek in Krabi province. Tourists enjoy swimming and sunbathing here.

A Thai island located on the Gulf of Thailand, boasting crystal-clear waters and stunning beauty that rivals the Andaman Sea.

Lush greenery provides an ideal setting for relaxation. Let's embark on our journey!

Our journey began at Koh Tao. Around 9 am, we prepared to visit the highlight near Koh Tao, "Koh Nang Yuan." The "sea parting" parted... our hearts (haha, what did you think it would part?). We started by shamelessly bargaining for the price of the boat ride to the island. We chartered a round-trip boat for 1600 baht for four people. We managed to bargain it down to 1200 (which I still thought was expensive), but my friend tried a drastic negotiation, offering 1000 baht. Haha, but it didn't work.

It takes approximately 20 minutes to reach the island by boat, as the islands are only 480 meters apart.

Upon arriving at the pier, my friend and I were filled with excitement. The boat driver left us with a parting remark, "I'll be back to pick you up at three in the afternoon, haha!" This was perfect timing, as it was only nine in the morning.

Form a line to receive free items. Oh, I mean form a line to walk onto the island. I would like to suggest that everyone remain calm, as there are many people and there may be some pushing. Most importantly, be careful, as you might fall off the bridge! Haha.

As I said, it's crowded.

While jostling and walking, take a 360-degree turn to admire the island's beauty.

This is the island's landmark sign. Unfortunately, when I went there, I was just learning how to take pictures. Looking back now, I still regret the angles I should have gotten but didn't.

Upon arrival at the entrance, pay the entrance fee. If I recall correctly, there are separate prices for foreigners and Thai nationals.

The island does not sell anything, and you are not allowed to bring your own food. However, there is a place to buy food on the island. This is the diving equipment we got from the boat driver. It's normal, but if you don't buy a trip, you have to accept it.

Taking a moment to prepare ourselves for the sun.

Despite the scorching heat, the breathtaking view was too captivating to resist.

It's scorching hot! I'm completely burnt, from being white, I'm now totally black, haha!

We then proceeded to find seats, opting for a side that offered easy access to the coral reefs and was well-populated.

As mentioned above, Koh Nang Yuan offers shallow water coral reefs suitable for snorkeling.

This is a simple and enjoyable design that is easy on the eyes.

Beautiful surroundings

My friend, are you diving or running aground? Haha!

As we didn't have a camera at the time, there are no underwater photos from our GoPro. However, the images that are etched in my memory are truly breathtaking. The deeper we went, the more thrilling and beautiful it became. However, I didn't venture too far, as I was still a novice diver at the time and, to be honest, a little scared!

After diving to our hearts' content, we strolled around taking photos, but we couldn't seem to capture enough of the beauty.

The image clearly shows that it is burnt to a crisp.

The atmosphere is beautiful, as the picture shows. I told you it's as beautiful as the Andaman Sea.

The other side was also swimmable, but I got cut by a shell, so I couldn't continue swimming (but the truth is, I was afraid of sea snakes haha).

The sea here is incredibly beautiful.

This photo was taken when I secretly photographed this woman. She stood there in a daze for a long time, which allowed me to capture this beautiful image.

The seabed is a mixture of sand and coral.

May I take a picture of this?

As mentioned, there is only one restaurant on the island, and it is quite expensive. Here is a picture of the restaurant, which has a very inviting atmosphere.

I was bored of lying in the hammock, so my friend and I decided to go for a walk along the river. The view from where we were sitting was so inviting, with houses on the other side. We couldn't wait any longer, so we set off.

The scenery here is breathtaking. I even waded into the sea to take pictures, willing to get soaked for the perfect shot. It took a while for someone to walk by, as I didn't want to force my friends to be in the picture. So, I decided to stay in the water, thinking to myself, "For the concept of the picture, I'll do it!"

We then walked to rest on a rocky outcrop shaded by a large tree, lying down to soak in the surrounding atmosphere with contentment. If this were near my home, I would call it "taking a breather," haha!

Each path is connected by a wooden bridge, which is as beautiful and tempting as I told you.

From every angle, the view is breathtaking. I can confidently say that I am completely enamored with Koh Nang Yuan.

The sandbar connecting the three small islands is a unique feature of this location. While tourists typically enjoy sunbathing on it, we opted out due to the intense heat.

And then my friend fell asleep. Sometimes I wonder if he forgot that we were supposed to climb to the viewpoint. Wake up, friend, wake up.

After soaking in the atmosphere to our satisfaction, it was time for a little adventure. Climbing this mountain is a breeze, as it looks from below. Just a little climb, hehe.

Without further ado, I walked back to the other side.

You seem to be taking a leisurely stroll.

The sea and the red color, when I take pictures, I personally think it's very beautiful. The colors contrast well. Next time, I must not miss the opportunity to wear a red shirt, haha!

This is the path we will take to climb to the viewpoint.

Take your time and rest when you're tired, for there is no need to rush.

Feel free to stop along the way as you please.

Enjoy the view

The distant mountain peaks were barely visible.

And then we finally made it to the top! Haha, there are three observation decks.
The first floor is crowded because it's easy to access, with a line longer than a 70% off sale.

My friend also continued.

The camera captured the scene. After finishing the shot, my friend and I had to climb up another floor. We left them behind at that spot.

Here's another level. Looking down, you can see a lot of people below. However, it's quite challenging to climb up to this level. If your shoes don't have good grip, you might slip.

Only 10 out of 100 people can reach this point. It's either crazy or close to it, haha. Every move I make sends shivers down my spine.

However, there are cases where the number is higher, with 2 out of 100 people experiencing an increase.

This is it. Just looking at it makes me imagine my legs shaking.

After soaking in the breathtaking views, we took a boat to Koh Tao, showered, changed, and prepared for a night of revelry. Hooray! The most popular nighttime destination for visitors to Koh Tao is Sairee Beach, a haven for fire-twirling women (my own addition). It's teeming with foreigners, making it difficult to find Thais. I felt like I was in another country. Let's just move on.

*This concludes my review for this trip.
Thank you very much if you have read every line of mine.
Thank you to my three fellow travelers.
Thank you for the feedback for someone who is learning to take pictures and do reviews for the first time. But this time I brought the old pictures back to review again.
Thank you.
