Hotel entrance
Returning to Veranda Resort Pattaya MGallery by Sofitel, where we left off near the conference room last time. Today, we'll finally take you to the rooms.
The V Veranda Resort Pattaya MGallery by Sofitel is located on Jomtien Beach in Pattaya. The entrance is a bit difficult to find, especially if you are coming from the back. The entrance is also a lane where construction workers are busy working.

Upon entering, the hotel failed to impress. From the entrance to the lobby, there was nothing captivating. Consequently, we skipped exploring the hotel and proceeded directly to the seminar room to prepare for tonight's banquet.
Our banquet hall is located on the top floor of another building, not the one we are staying in. The view from here is quite good, with a view of the sea and most of the buildings below us, giving us a beautiful perspective.
The banquet hall was unremarkable, but we hired musicians who played lively and entertaining music. However, the highlight of the banquet hall was undoubtedly the "food."
Food served in the banquet hall
The buffet spread today featured a delectable selection of Thai and international cuisine. Despite having already indulged in a hearty meal, the hotel's offerings proved irresistible, prompting us to indulge further. We couldn't help but lament the earlier consumption of less-than-satisfying food, which diminished our capacity to fully appreciate these culinary delights. (We may have shed a tear or two in regret.)
After the banquet, I walked back to my room with my head down. Wow! The room is huge! The design is very stylish and luxurious, with a perfect blend of brown and gold tones. There is a small plate of fruit in front of the TV as a welcome gift. The cabinet next to the TV is a mini-bar, which is fully stocked with hot and cold drinks, plus four bottles of free mineral water.
Next to the large flat-screen TV is a desk for working. There is a landline for internet service, but if you don't use a landline, there is also Wi-Fi available.
The bed is fantastic! It's a large single bed, but two people could comfortably sleep in it. The hotel even provides an octopus plushie for each bed to keep you company. As for pillows and blankets, there's more than enough to go around.
The sight of an adorable octopus prompted a call to room service, inquiring about the possibility of purchasing it. However, the room service response instantly extinguished any desire, revealing a staggering price of 4,000 baht. This revelation sparked a realization: if one were to ask about the most expensive octopus, the answer would undoubtedly be "here," where a single specimen costs a whopping 4,000 baht. Oh my goodness!
Tonight, sleep well with a four-thousand-baht squid as your companion.
Although the hotel appeared ordinary, it was surprisingly vibrant and beautiful in the morning, especially during breakfast. The breakfast spread was extensive and delicious, offering a wide variety of options, including ABF, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese cuisine. However, we were seated indoors (as the outdoor area was full), which resulted in a slight annoyance with flies.
The dining table is neatly set. I like the napkins, they are folded into the shape of shirts.

Behold, a magnificent breakfast spread!
There's also a noodle shop, by the way.
After a hearty breakfast, we embarked on an exploration of the resort. Confined to our room the previous night, we were awestruck by the beauty that unfolded before us. The expansive swimming pool, seemingly mirroring the vastness of the ocean, was a sight to behold. A saltwater system and strategically placed jacuzzi jets enhanced the experience. The seamless integration of the main and secondary pools, with a shallow depth of 1.20 meters, ensured that even non-swimmers could enjoy a refreshing dip.

The swimming pool is not only beautiful, but it also has a small stone balcony by the pool that extends to the beach, providing a place to relax, sit, or enjoy the sunset. This harmonizes well with the sea view, which currently has waves crashing onto the shore.

Unfortunately, our time was limited to just one day and one night, and with the banquet taking up some of our time, we didn't have much opportunity to explore the surrounding area. The resort boasts a fitness center, The Deck restaurant, and a charming little coffee shop called The Glass Room, which serves coffee that rivals any other. We'll tell you more about The Glass Room in our next post.
Thank you for reading this time.
