The weekend is here, and the question that always pops up is: where should we go?

This week, let's take a relaxing break in the chic and cool city of Hua Hin, a short distance from Bangkok.

We traveled by private car. For those who are unfamiliar with Hua Hin, the easiest way is to turn on your GPS and follow the directions. It only takes about 4 hours to get there.

Our accommodation for this trip was a charming little guesthouse called Lemon House 51, named after Hua Hin Soi 51. It's easy to find, just head down the soi a short distance and you'll see the sign on the left-hand side. Parking is available on the street wherever you can find a spot.

Lemon House 51 is a newly opened accommodation (approximately 2 months old) with 6 rooms: 2 Superior rooms, 2 Deluxe rooms, and 2 Standard rooms. The highlight of this accommodation is its proximity to the sea, with a walking distance of less than 5 minutes to the beach. Despite its convenient location, Lemon House 51 offers affordable rates starting from only 800 Baht. Additionally, they provide transportation services and motorbike rentals for guests' convenience.

Although this place has only recently opened, it is important to note that rooms fill up quickly, especially during long weekends or Saturdays and Sundays. It is therefore recommended to book in advance.

To book a room at Lemon House 51, please contact us at 081-3692843 or 0915648104. You can also follow our latest promotions on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/lemonhouse51.

Lemon House

Upon arrival, seek refuge from the heat and step inside to enjoy the cool air conditioning. The lobby also serves as a bar, offering refreshing beverages and sweet fruit juices. We highly recommend the strawberry juice, which is incredibly refreshing.

After a short break, it's time to store our luggage. This is the walkway leading to the guest rooms. Along the way, there are pictures decorating the entire walkway, which is very cute. The warm atmosphere feels like being at home, decorated as a small gallery.

Upon reaching our room, a Superior room, we were greeted by a spacious and airy space that instantly invited relaxation after a tiring journey. The room's generous dimensions, coupled with its bright and uncluttered layout, created a sense of tranquility and visual comfort. Equipped with all the necessary amenities, including electrical appliances, a television, and a refrigerator, the room offered a comfortable and convenient stay.

After packing our belongings, we jumped onto the plush king-size bed. We relaxed for a while, almost falling asleep from exhaustion.

The other parts of the room, such as the bathroom, were also very clean and brand new.

Shampoo and shower gel are provided. The scent is light and pleasant, perfect for those who forgot to bring their own or are too lazy to buy new ones.

Driven by our curiosity, we ventured beyond our own room. We requested Aey, the owner, to show us other rooms. She suggested the Standard room with a rooftop corner view and took us there for a tour.

Despite its designation as a small room, it is surprisingly spacious and offers a comfortable atmosphere. The airy and open layout, along with the large bed, creates a welcoming and inviting space that rivals the quality of our previous accommodations.

The unique feature of this room is that it is adjacent to the guesthouse's rooftop. The open-air atmosphere is incredibly relaxing. Imagine sipping a warm cup of coffee here in the morning; it would be pure bliss.

After exploring the accommodation and resting, it's time to explore! Since we're at the beach, we have to check out the beach. Just a short walk down the road, about two minutes, and we're there. It's so close!

Upon reaching the beach, we took a refreshing stroll to enjoy the sea breeze. It was around 1 pm when we arrived, which is usually a scorching time of day. However, the sky was slightly overcast, hinting at the possibility of rain. This is typical of the rainy season, but it had the advantage of keeping the temperature pleasant for a leisurely walk.

Stroll at your own pace, rest when tired. A leisurely life, no need to rush. This is what we call relaxation.

To reach the fishing bridge, walk along the beach for a long distance. Then, cut through the interior to cross to the other side and continue walking along the beach.

Crossing the fish bridge, meandering along, tired and taking a break ^_^

There she is, all set up! ^_^ Smiling at me like we're old friends. We've been seeing each other a lot lately, so we've gotten pretty close. Rain, you're something else.

The dense clouds suggest heavy rain. We should take shelter at the shrine for a while before continuing.

The rain has stopped, and people are starting to come out again. Some are playing in the water, while others are walking along the beach.

As you stroll along the beach, you'll encounter a local landmark: miniature horses. These adorable creatures offer a unique opportunity for weary travelers to take a break and capture some Instagram-worthy photos while riding them.

As the sun begins its descent, casting long shadows across the bustling streets, a sense of anticipation fills the air. The aroma of tantalizing street food wafts through the air, beckoning hungry passersby. With a growing rumble in their stomachs, they decide to embark on a culinary adventure, seeking out the hidden gems of the local market. Hopping aboard a shared taxi, they pay a mere fifteen baht and find themselves transported to a vibrant hub of activity: the Cicada market.

Cicada is a vibrant night market brimming with unique and stylish handmade goods, enticing shoppers to indulge in a delightful shopping spree.

This location serves as a hub for artists of various disciplines, providing a platform for them to showcase their creations. Visitors are encouraged to connect with the artists directly if they find any work that resonates with them.

Despite the persistent drizzle, the market remained bustling with activity. Vendors had erected transparent curtains to shield their wares from the rain, allowing shoppers to browse and purchase goods without interruption.

If you visit on the right day (at least not a rainy day like ours), there will be various performances to watch, including music and stage plays, depending on the schedule.

Wandering around, I felt hungry again. Initially, I planned to find something to eat nearby. However, most of the restaurants in this area cater to foreign tourists, resulting in inflated tourist prices. I realized that these options wouldn't suit my cool, budget-conscious lifestyle. Therefore, I settled for taking some photos to share instead.

There is actually a market next door with a wide variety of delicious food called the Tamarind Tree Market. It is right next door and seems to be owned by the same people, but the prices are much more affordable. I snuck in to grab a quick snack, as time was limited and I wanted to see as much as possible. Making the most of my time, I used my hunger as motivation and ran through the pouring rain to catch a shared taxi, heading straight for the Toei Rueng night market.

And here we are at the heart of Hua Hin's bustling night market. This iconic landmark, with its prominent Hua Hin sign, is practically synonymous with the city. You'll find this sign everywhere you go, making it a truly unforgettable sight.

Suddenly, we were overcome with a craving for oyster omelets, sparking a quest to find the perfect one. Let's go!

Lined with numerous eateries, this area is a haven for street food enthusiasts. Prepare to be delighted by the culinary offerings.

Our goal is "fried mussels" with an echoing sound. We'll just stroll along.

Lo and behold! A leisurely stroll has led me to the bustling streets of Yangon, Myanmar. The city's vibrant energy is palpable, a symphony of sights and sounds that captivate the senses.

After Burma, back and forth, until finally...found it! Fried mussels!

Initially, the sight of the massive crowd almost discouraged us. We patiently waited in line, our mouths watering at the prospect of the delicious-looking food. The wait was long, but our hunger kept us going. Finally, we got our hands on the oyster omelets and continued our walk, passing by various stalls selling food, souvenirs, and other items. We reached the end of the market and bid farewell to the bustling night market scene.

The new day is about to break. An indispensable activity of every trip is to wake up early to capture the beautiful morning light. Waking up at five or six in the morning, we take a leisurely stroll to the beach in just a few minutes.

Fortunately, the sky is beautiful today, and I have taken many beautiful pictures of the morning light and the sea.

The serene morning atmosphere on this relaxing day is truly refreshing. Watching the sun slowly rise fills me with a sense of tranquility and provides the perfect energy boost for the workday ahead.

We took photos from dusk until dawn.

People gradually emerged onto the beach, some strolling, some sitting, and others walking their dogs for exercise and fresh morning air.

After taking photos since early morning, I was hungry again. I walked back to my accommodation, took a shower, got dressed, and packed my belongings.

Our day began with a delicious American breakfast prepared by our charming guesthouse owner, Ai.

Start your day with a refreshing strawberry soda at the guesthouse's bar. Even if you're not staying there, you're welcome to come in and order a cold drink. There are also several restaurants near the guesthouse, offering a variety of cuisines, including Isaan food, à la carte dishes, and seafood. Feel free to choose whatever you like, or ask Khun Ai for recommendations.

After checking out and packing our belongings, we left our accommodation around noon to continue our journey and make the most of our time. Onward to the next destination!

The train station in Hua Hin. Let's line up to buy tickets to go back. Oh, no! Not that. Let's go take some pictures as a memento.

The atmosphere on the platform evokes a retro film aesthetic. Imagine dressing in 60s attire, complete with a flowing dress and a stylish headscarf, while carrying a vintage suitcase. It's as if we're stepping back in time to the bustling metropolis, embracing the nostalgia of a bygone era.

This Hua Hin railway station is considered one of the most beautiful railway stations in the country. When visiting the station, be sure to take photos of the trains as proof of your visit.

Initially, I planned to take a photo with the train, but it was scorching hot. So, I ran back to seek shade on the platform. However, I was worried that I wouldn't have a picture. Oh well, I'll just take one in the middle of the train tracks then! There you go!

And finally, the iconic Hua Hin symbol. No matter where you are in Hua Hin, whether it's the market, the street, or the train station, you'll find...

Departing from the train station, the next destination is Khao Takiab. The drive is not too far, and the road is generally convenient. However, the road leading up to the temple is quite narrow, so it is important to drive slowly and carefully when passing oncoming vehicles. Upon arrival at the entrance of Khao Takiab Temple, ...

Khao Takiab Temple is not only a revered place of worship but also offers stunning views of Khao Takiab Beach from its elevated position.

Having seen the view from above, let's go down and experience it up close.

Done, hot, hungry again....what to eat....noodles then....hot like this, huh! Actually, I want to eat something that is not too heavy because I have a plan to eat more (I'm here to travel or eat, I'm always hungry, I'm always eating) So I decided to have noodles. And I know a famous restaurant, which is...Kway Teow Chom Suan... here it is.

A small noodle shop called "Chom Suan" is always packed with customers, often requiring a queue. The reason for its popularity could be its delicious taste or something else. Go and find out for yourself.

Here it is, let the picture speak for itself first.

The taste is excellent, with a wide variety of toppings, including eggs. (As a human who loves eggs, I appreciate the inclusion of eggs.) If you're in Hua Hin, be sure to stop by and try the noodles here.

Full to the brim, incredibly full, almost no room left for the next station. But life must go on, and so we move on to... Plearnwan...

A popular hangout spot for teenagers and tourists alike, offering a retro atmosphere with vintage shops, snacks, and dishes that transport you back in time. Immerse yourself in nostalgia at...Plearnwan.

Besides being a popular spot for photography, this location also offers a tempting array of vintage and retro goods, including food, souvenirs, and everyday items, sure to entice any shopping enthusiast.

After enjoying the day, we didn't forget what we had saved for our stomachs since noon. We searched for a while and finally found it... the skull egg...

It's an omelet with rice inside, with various fillings like bacon, salmon, and more. The taste is different from what I'm used to, but it's not bad. Anyway, let's move on and find something sweet to cleanse our palates.

Oh, really? I just found out that they changed the name to "Khao Niao Tang Tum" today. Okay, "Tang Tum" it is. Nowadays, there are many fusion options with various fillings, including strawberries and blueberries. There are so many choices that I don't know what to choose. I'll stick with the original coconut and palm sugar filling. It's safe and I like to go back to the classics. I like the original. If you like to try something new, go ahead. It looks delicious too. Let me tell you, "Tang Tum" is really full of filling.

The bustling atmosphere continues with multiple levels, both upper and lower, offering a delightful strolling experience.

The crowd was sparse, allowing for ample exploration and immersion in the nostalgic atmosphere. The journey from our accommodation to Plearnwan was only 2 kilometers, but we saved it for last as it was conveniently located on our return route. For those who prefer shorter excursions, Plearnwan is an ideal starting point.

The "Eat, Sleep, Relax" trip has come to an end. This is a 2-day, 1-night chill-out experience in the cool town of Hua Hin. There's always something to impress us here, from the food to the attractions to the shopping. It's the perfect getaway for a relaxing weekend.

This trip would not have been possible without Lemon House 51, a newly opened guesthouse near Hua Hin Beach. For those seeking affordable accommodations, this guesthouse offers spacious, cozy, and comfortable rooms right by the sea. Don't miss the chance to stay here on your next visit!

The trip ended with a good feeling, and we are always happy whenever we come to the sea. We recharge our energy for the next day because the sea will comfort us and make us feel less tired with the sound of the waves crashing against the shore.
