For those who prefer hotels with a Modern Contemporary Design Style, Kata Thani's hotel chain is an excellent choice. In Khao Lak, Phang Nga, a popular vacation destination and gateway to stunning islands like Similan and Surin, Kata Thani offers four resorts catering to various styles and budgets. Each resort boasts a unique concept to satisfy the diverse needs of travelers seeking leisure or adventure in Khao Lak, Phang Nga.

The Sands by Katathani
A realm of unparalleled luxury and serenity.

This is the largest of the 4 properties, offering a comprehensive range of amenities, including a swimming pool, fitness center, library, restaurant, bar, kids' club, and even a meeting room. It is also one of the resorts with beachfront access to Nang Thong Beach, a landmark in Khao Lak, Phang Nga Province.

The Sands boasts a spacious layout, primarily featuring a central lawn and activity area, as well as a swimming pool. The surrounding buildings housing the guest rooms are painted in a light brown hue, reminiscent of the sand on a beach, aligning with the hotel's name, The Sands. This color choice likely draws inspiration from the concept of building sandcastles on the beach, albeit on a much grander scale.

This resort is a popular choice for families with children, as evidenced by the numerous families with young children observed during our visit. The resort's central location, adjacent to the restaurant, features a spacious children's pool equipped with water fountains and a miniature water slide, resembling a small-scale water park.

The adult pool is situated at the beachfront for a romantic evening ambiance, complete with a poolside bar and a nearby restaurant designed for couples to enjoy dinner at sunset.

Sand Room
The Sand Room is the smallest room type available, featuring a 6-foot-wide bed and a sofa. It boasts modern furniture, including a headboard that doubles as a work desk or dressing table. The room's design is both functional and stylish, with a sliding wall separating the bedroom from the bathroom. The frosted glass wall adds a touch of sensuality to the space.

The Sands:

  • Overall impression: More suitable for couples and families than for groups of friends.

The Waters Khaolak by Katathani Collection:

  • For those who enjoy being near water.

The hotel's name, THE WATERS, is a clear indication of its focus on water. The hotel boasts a 3,000 sqm swimming pool and all rooms face the pool, offering a refreshing and immersive experience for water enthusiasts.

The Main Pool also features a Pool Bar, "The Bubble," which serves drinks to order, quenching your thirst on sunny days or after a refreshing swim.

This accommodation offers two room types: Upper Pool Access rooms located on the second floor and Water Pool Access rooms situated on the ground floor with direct pool access.

Wherever you walk, you will find swimming pools continuously connected.

While the surrounding area is dominated by the blue hues of the swimming pool, the interior adopts a warm white and brown color scheme, complemented by small green plants and clean pastel colors in certain corners.

Besides the swimming pool, they also have a spa called Sila, which is famous for its Bubble Spa, a massage with soap bubbles. I let my friend try it, and she said it felt like washing her face with foam. /lol/ Her skin felt tighter and she felt very relaxed.

In addition to dinner, for those who enjoy Italian cuisine, the hotel offers Amici Italian Bistro Restaurant, which serves both hotel guests and outside diners who wish to sample delicious Italian dishes.

The Waters is suitable for all groups, including couples, families, and friends (except families with young children who may require extra care and supervision).
Note: The Waters is not located directly on the beachfront but is approximately 500 meters from Bang Niang Beach, a 15-minute walk to the sea.

The Leaf Oceanside by Katathani Collection
Features a beautiful lawn and swimming pool.

The hotel's charm lies in its refreshing green spaces and lush trees, offering a tranquil escape. While not directly on the beachfront, it is conveniently located just a few hundred meters from Nang Thong Beach, a mere 5-minute walk away. This proximity, combined with its affordable rates, makes it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers seeking a relaxing getaway.

This area boasts an abundance of greenery, evident in the guest rooms, corridors, and even around the swimming pool.

The standard room may lack style or amenities (as expected for the price), but it is clean and decorated according to The Leaf concept, with a green headboard and leaf carvings.

The Leaf on The Sands by Katathani Collection
A convenient and private green space.

The Leaf on the Sands shares a similar concept with The Leaf Oceanside. However, due to its location not being as close to the sea, the walking distance to the beach area is approximately 600 meters or about 15 minutes. Nevertheless, this location offers convenient access for exploring the city center or dining at restaurants outside the hotel, making it suitable for travelers who do not have a car as their primary mode of transportation.

The hotel boasts two swimming pools. Guests typically favor the pool located within the hotel's garden.

The other pool will be closer to the Lobby.

Characterized by lush greenery and tree-lined pathways, The Leaf lives up to its name.

The room design is similar to The Leaf Ocean side, but in white.

All 4 hotels accept phone reservations at 076-428800. To book a room, simply call and state the desired hotel and room type.
