This is our senior who is a hardcore hiker, tackling every situation... we are just trainees...

With the promise we made to our senior at the institute, we had the opportunity to go hiking on this trip...👌

The Pha Ngem or Pha Song Rudu trip ⛺️ I can tell you that this will be my first time hiking.

I've actually wanted to go for a long time, but I didn't have a group, and none of my friends were into this kind of thing.

They said, why make it difficult for yourself? Wouldn't it be better to have a comfortable trip?

I think we can be comfortable every day, but this kind of adventure, we only get to do once in a while.

But luckily, there's another friend in the group who likes the same things.

Our senior often sees us enjoying adventurous trips, so he often invites this friend to go hiking with him.

But the different places he invites us to are so far from our home because he lives in Satun.

He often hikes in the south.

Or sometimes he even goes hiking in Laos... I'm the type with a small budget, so I have to think a lot.

As for me, I live in Chiang Rai. Oh my god, it's so far away. I have to take several flights, not to mention the expenses...

So I made a promise with him that if he ever goes hiking in the north, I promise I'll go with him.

....He informed me several months in advance that he would be going hiking at Pha Ngem or Pha Song Rudu in Chiang Mai...

....So I didn't miss this opportunity.

...But from the original group of 17 people, by the time the trip came around, there were only about 8 people left....

And then the day of the trip arrived. Normally, when we travel, we try to carry as little luggage as possible.

But this time, we couldn't do that. There was so much stuff, tents, sleeping bags, jackets, everything.

We went on this trip from November 4th to 8th, 2015, but we only climbed Pha Song Rudu for 2 days and 1 night.

For this trip, the seniors rented a red double-decker truck from Chiang Mai near Kan Klong. We went on the Doi Inthanon route...

And they dropped us off at the Khun Wang Royal Project...

When we arrived, we had to sort out our things again to see what we needed to take up the mountain.

We left the things we didn't need at the red truck... They sell plum wine here, it tastes a bit sweet.

They have it in bottles and in bags.

At first, we bought a bag, but the seniors said it wasn't enough, so we got another bag (I forgot to take a picture of it).

It took until 11 am to finish packing. We hired porters to carry the heavy items, who charged 50 baht per kilogram. The guide told us to hurry up before it got any later. The sooner we arrived, the sooner we could see the Pha Song Duen waterfall. My friend, who had originally planned to go with us, was not feeling well but still drove us to the starting point and as far as the road would allow.

From here on, we'll be walking on a dirt road.

This is a blank paragraph.

We haven't even walked for long, but we're already hungry because it's past noon. Let's take a break to eat for a bit, okay?

The food was prepared by our seniors. Fried chicken + sticky rice + red chili dip...so delicious, it's amazing!

Full of energy, let's continue our journey... each with a magic wand... let's go!

The way up and the way down will be different.

So that we can see both types of scenery, the way up will be more humid, the trees are tall, and we don't see much sunlight.

Note: The original text is empty, so the translation is also empty.

Please walk in an orderly manner.

It took us about 3 hours to walk to the campsite.

But we didn't rush, we enjoyed the scenery and stopped to take pictures.

When we saw the end of the trail, everyone shouted, "We see the light!"

It was like the end of a tunnel.

Take a break, we arrived before anyone else.

The guide asked if we wanted to go see the two-season cliff today. If we go today, we won't have to go tomorrow morning.

We immediately agreed to go this evening, but we had to set up our tents and organize our things before going up.

The fog is starting to come down, we need to hurry up and get everything ready and then go up.

With everything in order, we continued our journey to Pha Song Ru Du, also known as Pha Ngaem.

The path from this point onwards was very steep, but the view from the top was absolutely worth it. It was so beautiful that we didn't want to leave.

To see the two-season waterfall, you have to climb up there.

When I first went up, it was full of fog. I waited for a while, and then I saw it. It was so beautiful.

There is a path to climb down to the ledge that juts out. My male companion and I crossed over, but our friends were too afraid to join us. Standing on the ledge, we were overwhelmed by the vastness and grandeur of nature. We felt as small as ants.

We spent almost two hours up there, admiring the beauty of nature. By the time we came down, it was almost dark.

For dinner, we had a simple meal of instant noodles, canned fish, and snacks.

We stayed up until midnight, enjoying warm drinks to keep us cozy.

...We woke up early the next day to soak in the beauty of nature before returning to our daily lives.

This morning, I had instant noodles again, but this time I stir-fried them with fermented pork sausage.

I used up all the leftover ingredients to make a meal. After that, I started packing my things to prepare for going back to real life downstairs.

After you've finished eating, please help us clean up.

Most importantly, don't forget to clean up. All garbage should be placed in black bags and disposed of downstairs.

Tourist attractions are enjoyable because everyone helps keep them clean.

Are we descending from heaven? This is truly magnificent.

And so, the trip to Pha Song Ru or Pha Ngaem came to a beautiful end.

On this trip, I made many new friends...and I only knew my institute's seniors and brought one friend with me.

The rest, I got to know there...new friendships can always be formed.

The sky is like a big roof over our heads.

The stars are like paintings that we can sit and look at without getting bored.

Thank you for the good friendship and the happiness you gave me.

And most importantly, thank you for the pictures from the many cameras that were shared here.

....and after this, there will be more hiking trips to come.
