A solo female backpacker's adventurous journey to embrace nature at "Khiriwong".
The monotony and repetitiveness of work often lead to a lack of inspiration to continue. This prompted me to embark on a solo backpacking trip to a place that would re-energize me for work. "Khiriwong" was the destination I chose.
Let's embark on the journey together!
This journey will be undertaken via the esteemed State Railway of Thailand.
Relaxing in style, like a chill person. 555+
Our journey begins at Nakhon Pathom Station and ends at Nakhon Si Thammarat Station.
The journey began at 19:12 and arrived at Nakhon Si Thammarat station at 9:55. (The train was very punctual!)
We opted for the express train number 173, choosing the second-class carriage, which is the "sitting" class.
A friendly reminder for those traveling at night: the weather is quite chilly, so don't forget to bring a warm jacket. A scarf or shawl would also be a good idea to keep you comfortable.
The journey is relaxed and unhurried. Passengers can sleep, wake up, or even make music videos, as they please. It's a good idea to bring a book to read during the trip. The train will eventually reach its destination in the morning.
The morning atmosphere on both sides of the road was very good, but I didn't take any pictures. It's raining. It's raining!! The train will arrive at Nakhon Si Thammarat station around 10 am. When I arrive at the station, I will wash my face and prepare to find food to eat and continue my journey. When I finish my business, I will prepare to travel to Khao Kiri Wong village. We will have to take a songthaew into the village.
Upon arriving at the village, we first looked for accommodation. We chose to stay at "Phetkhiri Homestay".
With our accommodation secured, we embarked on our exciting adventure.
As a preface, it is important to note that our visit took place on a weekday during a rainstorm and typhoon. This may have limited the number of visually appealing images captured.
The homestay owner teased me, saying, "Did you come with the rain, dear?"
It's alright, even though it's raining, we'll go for a walk in the drizzle. We've come this far, so let's enjoy it! Hehe.
Bicycle rentals are available for exploring the village at a cost of 100 baht per bike.
Bicycles are available for rent at Baan Nai Thang.
However, we did not rent a car. We walked, just walked around. We are chill people (actually, we are a bit stingy).
As mentioned earlier, due to the rain on the day of our visit, we were unable to explore much as we had to wait for it to stop.
The first day was thus spent with the gentle patter of rain.
The next morning… (I won't type too much, just take a look at the picture)… (I want to show off the picture I took myself, hehe)
The water is crystal clear and cool, allowing you to see a multitude of fish.
Khiriwong boasts stunning natural beauty, a pleasant atmosphere, and exceptionally clean air. The friendly and welcoming locals are always willing to lend a helping hand.
A harmonious blend of human and nature.
For those who are exhausted from work and need to recharge their batteries, or are looking for new inspiration in their work, Khao Kiri Wong is another place that we highly recommend.
This concludes the review of Khao Kiri Wong.
