"Everyone always has a memorable first time."
After getting off the new train from Nong Khai, I hailed a three-wheeled taxi to the transport station to buy a ticket for the international bus from Nong Khai to Vientiane. When I arrived in Vientiane (Morning Market), I negotiated a price with the van driver. We agreed on 300 baht per person. Then we sat and lay down in the van for several hours. Finally, we arrived at "Vang Vieng," which was my first time here.
PART I : Vangvieng
The accommodation I chose was Riverview Bungalow, which has a beautiful view and is located by the Song River. Traveling with amazing companions made the trip even more enjoyable.
It was already evening, so I took a shower and went out to find some food. For that meal, I entrusted my stomach to a roadside restaurant. It was simple, and after I finished eating, I came back to take a few more photos. Then I went to bed, because I had bought a tour with the accommodation for the next morning.
Waking up early on the 2nd day, I went out to take photos and soak in the morning atmosphere while waiting for breakfast, which was ready at 7 am.
The first stop was a cave tour. We had to sit on inner tubes and float through the cave. It was very dark inside, so we had to hold onto a rope. The guides also gave us each a headlamp.
Then go to the Elephant Cave, which is also passed by the water cave.
The guide then led us to the third location, which was a kayaking spot. We had to paddle for 8 kilometers. Before we started paddling, we were given lunch to fuel us up for the afternoon's exertion (the paddling took about 2-3 hours).
And that's not all, the last place we'll visit is the "Blue Lagoon".
By the time we returned, everyone was exhausted. Upon arrival, we showered and had dinner at a riverside restaurant near our accommodation.
We then went our separate ways, as we were going to Vientiane the next day.
We woke up early and visited the morning market.
Part II: Vientiane
After arriving in Vientiane, I checked my bags at the Inter City Hotel. Then, I rented a bicycle and headed straight to Patuxai (Victory Gate).
He then cycled to the King Ngum Monument to watch the sunset over Sri Chiang Mai District, Nong Khai Province.
After that, I cycled back to the Victory Monument to capture the night view before returning to my accommodation.
Afterward, I went to find some rice to eat until after 11 pm and then returned to my accommodation. I have to go back home tomorrow. TT
I woke up early and went for a walk in the park, then continued to Wat Si Saket (ວັດສີສະເກດ) and That Luang Vientiane (ທາດຫຼວງວຽງຈັນ).
After that, I shifted into 10th gear and rode back to my accommodation. I returned the bicycle, took a shower, and then headed to the international airport of Laos.
This concludes my review. Thank you to everyone who has visited my page. I hope you all have a wonderful trip and enjoy yourselves.
