Phuket is renowned for its diverse range of accommodations, from classic to modern, with options ranging from 2 to 5 stars. Today, I will introduce you to another hotel, COMO Point Yamu, Phuket.
Como Point Yamu is a 5-star luxury hotel that has been in operation for approximately 4-5 years. Situated on the southernmost tip of Cape Yamu, it is approximately 30-45 minutes from the airport. The hotel's key feature is its panoramic views of the Andaman Sea and Phang Nga Bay, visible from almost every corner of the property.
While the hotel does not have its own beach, guests can enjoy access to the Como Beach Club for swimming and other water activities.
Located on Naka Yai Island, the hotel provides a 15-minute speedboat transfer to the island.
Let's get to know Como Point Yamu without further ado.
For this trip to Phuket, we chose to travel with Bangkok Airways, which offers 9 round-trip flights per day, from 6 am to 9 pm. They also have a lounge and meals on board, which is great. Most importantly, you don't have to pay for checked baggage.
We arrived safely in Phuket, picked up our luggage and rental car, and headed to Como Point Yamu.
We arrived around noon, but check-in wasn't available yet, so we had lunch at La Sirena restaurant.
After lunch, my wife asked to take a picture with the panoramic view of the swimming pool, which is over 100 meters long.
The view is spectacular, even though the sun is scorching hot. The beauty of this place is worth the heat. My wife is extremely happy.
Normally, she would complain when exposed to the sun, but with a view like this, she had to admit it was worth it.
After lunch, the staff informed the couple that their room was ready. The couple followed the staff to the lobby for check-in, where they were greeted with a cold towel, a garland, and a welcome drink.
The lobby is spacious and airy, with a stylish design that seamlessly incorporates Thai elements.
By day, it may appear ordinary, but at night, it becomes breathtakingly beautiful.
The lobby houses a gift shop selling souvenirs and hotel merchandise, as well as a tour consultation room.
Private dining rooms or large group meetings, the meeting room has chairs and chess for you to relax and enjoy.
This room offers stunning sunset views.
Our room for this trip is located in the South Wing. Let's take a look at the Bay Suite before entering the room.
A water-filled basin adorned with a daily changing array of flowers, each unique and captivating. The purpose remains unclear, yet its aesthetic charm and positive impact on the soul are undeniable.
My room is adjacent to the walkway leading to the other side, which is considered another landmark of Como. Everyone who comes here takes pictures.
Let's head inside. Upon entering, you'll find a spacious living room featuring a blue sofa and a television.
The dining table is set with welcome fruit for guests. The decor at Como Point Yamu is a blend of styles.
The juxtaposition of Thai identity with Western modernity as interpreted by an Italian designer. Each room boasts a distinct color palette, with some featuring darker hues.
Some rooms are painted in light colors, reflecting the hues of the sea at that moment, showcasing the meticulous attention to detail in the design.
Upon entering, you will find the bathroom zone, which includes a luggage storage area and a clothes rack. The bathroom area features...
The spacious bathroom features a large bathtub for two and double sinks, eliminating the need to share.
Bathroom accessories of our own brand, manufactured by factories from abroad.
Let's take a look at the bedroom. The spacious room features a neatly made bed that looks very inviting.
Looking out from the balcony, you can see the ocean view. One advantage of Como's rooms is that every room has a sea view.
Differing in height and perspective for each room.
The bedside lamps are imported and cost 150,000 baht each. Couples, please be careful not to try any difficult positions, as it would be a shame if they were to break.
The bed is thick and soft, with four pillows. At the end of the bed, there is a television where you can watch movies or listen to music.
Having explored the interior, let's take a look at the spacious balcony. It features a sofa bed and chairs, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the stunning ocean views and sunsets.
Alternatively, for those who prefer a more relaxed experience, the gentle breeze provides a refreshing ambiance.
Exhausted from the journey, we decided to rest and recharge. In the evening, we took a leisurely stroll to soak in the atmosphere. Today, we opted for a relaxed pace, focusing on enjoying the surroundings.
Waking up around 5 pm, I took a shortcut to the swimming pool. Along the way, I came across an ice cream stand offering free ice cream from 2 pm to 5 pm. Luckily, I was still in time to try the traditional ice cream.
After that, we walked to the side of the Thai restaurant. There was a red-painted wooden pillar, and we couldn't resist taking a picture. This path leads to the swimming pool.
The swimming pool here is a highlight of Como, with a length of 100 meters and a white color that gradually deepens from shallow to deep.
The children are having fun playing. It makes me want to jump in the water too, but I think I'll save my energy for tomorrow.
Relaxing by the sea breeze and posting photos on social media to show off to friends before going today.
The weather is pleasant this evening, even though the sky is not bursting with color. As long as it doesn't rain, that's all that matters.
We enjoyed the sunset until our hearts were content, and then our stomachs started to rumble. We drove for about 30 minutes to have dinner at Khao Tom Haeng Ko Benz. Although it was quite crowded, we didn't have to wait too long. We each had two bowls of the delicious porridge, which was a light and satisfying meal.
Let's go back to Como and rest.
The lobby of the accommodation was stunning at night, as I mentioned earlier, it is more beautiful at night than during the day.
Stroll and savor the evening beauty of Como Point, Yamu.
Upon returning to my room, I found a snack waiting for me. My wife was watching a movie inside, while I enjoyed the cool breeze outside.
The wife is taking a bath with the water turned up full blast, creating a mountain of bubbles. She asked me to take a picture of her. The water pressure is excellent, both hot and cold. However, there aren't enough bath amenities.
You can request more. It's bedtime now, so let's say goodbye with this picture.
Good morning on the second day of relaxation. Today I woke up without an alarm clock. When I woke up, I took a shower and went out to eat. We had breakfast at the La Seine restaurant, which is open from 6 am to 10 am. The restaurant here is very beautiful. There are not many places in Thailand where the restaurant looks so beautiful and perfect.
The restaurant offers both buffet and à la carte options. Guests can order as much as they like until they are full. During my two-day stay, I was able to try a variety of dishes without repeating any.
The two-day event will begin with a visit to the buffet line, starting with the fresh fruit section, which includes watermelon.
Pineapple, longan, mango, orange. Next is the zone of fresh-squeezed fruit juice in bottles, milk, and illy fresh coffee. Let the staff make it for you.
And you can grab fruit juice to drink right away. Most importantly, they offer fresh coconut water, which really won me over. I'd give it 5 stars.
The next line features a wide variety of cereals and grains, too many to capture in a single photo. The following line includes bread, ham, and cheese.
The bakery and food line here are very satisfying, both in terms of quantity and quality.
Let's move on to the à la carte dishes. For savory options, I highly recommend the sticky rice with fried pork. If you come here and don't order this, you'll definitely regret it.
The next menu is Egg Benedict, or you can choose the Yamu Breakfast set. We also have Thai menus such as Pad See Ew, rice porridge, and noodles.
Continuing with dessert, Coconut Waffles. The other two dishes were not ordered as I was already very full. For those who are on a clean diet, don't worry.
Como Road offers Real toast and Scrambled Tofu as healthy options for health-conscious individuals.
After breakfast, we booked a boat to the beach club at 11:00 AM. There are two shuttle vans to the pier, departing at 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. The return trip also has two options, departing at 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM. The van ride to Ao Por Grand Marina takes approximately 30 minutes, followed by a speedboat ride of no more than 15 minutes.
Naka Yai Island, home to Como Beach Club, boasts a swimming pool and complimentary water activities such as kayaking and sofa rides.
Accommodation is available for booking with an additional fee for your convenience.
The venue provides restrooms and towels, allowing you to enjoy swimming without the hassle of bringing your own towels.
My wife and I enjoyed a relaxing afternoon on the beach, taking photos, listening to the waves, and simply enjoying the view of the ocean. It was a moment of pure contentment.
At two in the afternoon, those who have booked a boat will be escorted by staff to board the boat with the hotel.
Upon arriving at the hotel, we changed into our swimsuits and headed to the swimming pool. Some may wonder why we didn't swim at the beach club.
In simple terms, I'm afraid of getting tanned. I just want to change the atmosphere, sit and listen to the waves, and feel the sea breeze to know that I'm on a beach vacation. Haha!
Before we dive into the main pool, let's take a look at the Como Shambhala Retreat spa, which spans two floors.
The upper floor houses massage rooms, including both single and double rooms. There are a total of 8 rooms available, including a room for couples and an outdoor area.
Aromatherapy massage, Thai massage with acupressure, facial treatments, body scrubs, spa baths, steam rooms, and saunas are available.
Open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The lower level houses a fitness center and a spa product retail area.
The outdoor area features a swimming pool and a sofa bed, offering a private space for relaxation.
The wife asked to take a picture and then went down to play in the pool below. She said she wanted to play downstairs more because it was more atmospheric.
Wait until the sun sets and the wind dies down, then you can jump in. The swimming pool gradually slopes from shallow to a maximum depth of 1.50 meters.
The long pool was truly tiring, even just walking around it. We played in the water for a while until the sun set, taking turns taking pictures of each other. It was a lot of fun, and we got a ton of great photos.
Let's go back to the room to take a shower, have dinner, and get ready for bed. We did a lot of activities today.
The maid's room was turned down neatly. I took a shower and ate dinner, but I forgot to take a picture because I was so hungry. After dinner, I washed my face, brushed my teeth, and went to bed.
The last day of my vacation has arrived. I woke up at my own pace and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast.
Upon returning, I explored the various sections, including the expansive Kids' Club, which I regret my daughter couldn't experience.
The game room offers a variety of activities, including darts, pool tables, and video games. There are also numerous photo opportunities, making it an ideal spot for those who enjoy capturing memories.
The fun is over. I packed my clothes and put them in my suitcase to go to the next destination, but I won't tell you where it is. Let's just say it's a newly opened hotel in Khao Lak.
Before checking out, we stopped by another restaurant, Nahmyaa Thai, which serves Thai cuisine.
Beautifully decorated in a modern style, with goldfish as a highlight. Anyone who comes here must stop by to take a picture.
A truly fulfilling getaway, my three-day, two-night stay at Como Point Yamu offered ample relaxation, delicious meals, and cozy nights.
A truly relaxing getaway with laid-back activities and a change of scenery, allowing us to spend quality time together. This simple pleasure brought immense joy.
