🤔 Crazy trip
Actually, I'm planning to go to Chanthaburi.
However,
😫
I got on the wrong bus.
I was about to go home when I saw a Bangkok-Pattaya van passing by. I hailed it and hopped on! That's how this trip came about.
One-day trip to "Koh Lan, Far from Love"
Koh Lan is a popular island for Thais, Westerners, and Chinese (especially).
This review is very detailed, so you can read it like a Koh Lan guidebook (I'm really bragging) 55
Traveling to Koh Larn is easy.
🚤
Take a van from Bangkok according to the van queues, such as from Rama 2, Mo Chit, to Laem Bali Hai.
Alternatively, visitors can drive to Laem Bali Hai, where parking is available.
To reach Koh Larn, you can take a ferry for 30 baht per trip. Alternatively, speedboats are available for 300 baht for a round trip, with prices varying depending on the provider.
Tourist Attractions on Koh Lan
Beaches:
- Ta Waen Beach: Known for its calm waters and white sand, perfect for swimming and sunbathing.
- Sangwan Beach: Offers a variety of water activities, including jet skiing and banana boat rides.
- Samae Beach: A secluded beach with stunning views, ideal for relaxation and snorkeling.
- Tien Beach: A popular spot for families with shallow waters and a playground.
- Nual Beach: A quiet beach with a laid-back atmosphere, perfect for escaping the crowds.
Other Attractions:
- Khao Nom Viewpoint: Offers panoramic views of the island and the surrounding ocean.
- Shrine of the Black Father: A sacred site with a rich history and cultural significance.
Note: Specific details about the advantages and disadvantages of each attraction will be provided below the corresponding image.
Transportation on Koh Ngai is limited to blue songthaews (pictured in the review) which cost around 40 baht per trip. Alternatively, motorbike rentals are available for 300 baht, offering a convenient way to explore the entire island.
In addition to swimming on the beach, there are also activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, jet skiing, banana boating, and paragliding for those who want a bird's-eye view without using a drone. There are instructors available for paragliding.
All details can be seen more clearly in the review pictures.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
Escape the hustle and bustle of Bangkok and discover the pristine waters of Koh Larn, a paradise just a stone's throw away. Immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters and embrace the tranquility of this island gem.
If you are interested or like it, you can tag the people you want to go with in the comments.
Let's go!
Our journey begins at Laem Bali Hai, a must-visit landmark for capturing the perfect photo.
Upon arrival at Bali Hai Pier, proceed along the pier path. Tickets can be purchased directly before boarding the ferry. Cash payment is required.
The ferry to Koh Larn
Costs 30 baht per trip
The boat departs with a slow, drawn-out sound. It is a two-story vessel that embodies the concept of a leisurely lifestyle. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes, allowing passengers to relax and enjoy the scenery.
Oh, almost forgot!
Don't forget to wear a life jacket when you get on the boat.
For your own safety!
Those who are in a hurry can take a speedboat.
They will overtake one boat after another. 5555555
We have arrived at the island! Welcome everyone!
Please note that we will be disembarking at Haad Ta Waen Beach.
The last ferry back to this location departs at 5 pm. Alternatively, you can catch the last ferry back to the pier in front of the village at 6 pm.
There are quite a few people fishing.
My journey begins at Sangwan Beach, a small stretch of sand that follows directly after Haad Ta-Whan. A wooden bridge provides access to this beach.
150-200 meters away, it is peaceful compared to the nearby Haad Ta-Hwan beach. However, compared to Haad Saem or Haad Nuan, it is still a bit crowded.
Wooden bridge leading to Sangwan Beach
There is a small pavilion with a beautiful view.
To avoid travel expenses to other beaches, consider staying at Hat Ta Waen or Hat Sangwan, where you can rent umbrellas and sunbathe.
Regarding food, it is available on every beach, but the prices are a bit high. 55555555
For those who can tolerate it, you can eat at the pier in front of the house or in the city. The prices will be half the price.
This is Hat Ta Waen, the hottest and most crowded beach on the island. It's packed with Chinese tourists! The advantage is that it has everything you need in one place, including food, souvenirs, and more! It's incredibly convenient.
There are jet skis and banana boats available for your enjoyment.
The downside is that it's not very peaceful. Of course, I didn't play here, haha. I just took a picture to show you.
I rented a car because it's easy to drive here and there are signs all the way.
Renting a motorbike here does not require you to return it to the original location. For example, if you rent from Haad Ta Waen and want to return it at the pier in front of the village at 6 pm, just call them and let them know what time you will return it at the pier in front of the village.
They will deliver the card back to you at your location.
For those who do not wish to ride themselves, there are shared taxis available.
We first visited the Khao Nom viewpoint, which also serves as a temple and meditation retreat.
The first viewpoint is located in front of Luang Pu.
Those who want to try this thrilling ride, go ahead!
5555 There are teachers to guide you.
I don't dare!! Hehe.
The price for 20 minutes is approximately 1500 baht. Those who are interested can prepare the money in advance.
Walk to the second viewpoint, which is located near the Guanyin statue.
After paying respects to Guan Yin, turn around to be greeted by this magnificent view.
Those who are not yet satisfied can climb the 250 steps to pay homage to the sacred well and the Buddha's footprint.
Turning around while walking, it was as if I had stumbled upon the third viewpoint.
After enjoying the breathtaking view, we continued our journey by motorbike. We came across the Shrine of the Black Father and decided to pay our respects.
Next, head to Saem Beach.
This beach offers a more tranquil experience compared to the bustling shores of Sangwan or Ta-Aewan. Stretching approximately 700 meters, this serene beach boasts a solar cell building and distant views of wind turbines generating electricity.
If you're interested in snorkeling, contact Khun Kha directly.
P.S. Don't worry if you're going alone, the beach offers luggage storage services or locker rentals. ;D
Walk to the end of the mangrove beach.
The water is clear and pure.
This beach is truly stunning and highly recommended.
The beach is relatively calm and less crowded compared to the two beaches mentioned above.
Our final stop on this trip is Nual Beach, a small, privately owned beach stretching 250 meters. Its secluded location and private ownership contribute to its tranquility and cleanliness.
I've decided to play at this beach!! 555555
The majority of visitors are Westerners, with relatively few Chinese tourists.
The beach's sand is not as aesthetically pleasing as other beaches, lacking the bright white color.
Note: I did not visit Haad Thian, as I preferred this beach and spent my time here.
The water is crystal clear, allowing you to see a variety of marine life, including coral reefs, sea urchins, fish, leeches, and crabs, even in shallow waters.
Looking for a funny picture? 555555555555
If you don't like it, just skip it! Haha
This is a blank paragraph.
The zebra crossing is completely black, lol. 555555
After taking a shower, let's continue.
This is a blank paragraph.
Near the pier in front of the village, there is a temple square with a variety of food stalls.
Haha, I think it's self-explanatory.
Dance, dance, dance! Who's hungry? There's a 7-Eleven here.
It's 5 pm, let's go home.
I returned the car and had dinner, waiting for the boat back to Pattaya at the pier in front of the village.
Because the food is cheap and the return boat is available until 6 pm.
Boarding the boat now! See you later!
Koh Larnnnnn
The journey to Pattaya takes approximately 40-50 minutes as usual.
Note: At Laem Bali Hai Pier, there will be a walking street.
Those who are not in a hurry are welcome to explore.
I'm tired, so I'm going back. 555555
And I took a van back to Bangkok.
******Wow, our one-day trip to Koh Larn is over.
