E-tong

Rainy season, mixed with fog

3 days 2 nights trip to #E-tong Pilok Thong Pha Phum, Kanchanaburi in the rainy season, how is it good!

Let me tell you, it will be a bit white with fog. When you wake up, sleep, or eat, you will see this kind of view.

It was so much fun!

To sit idly, to sleep foolishly, to wake up and eat, to eat and then sleep. Sunlight? Don't even mention it.

Despite the long journey, let's embrace the simple joys of life and experience true happiness.

This is our second visit, and we plan to return frequently.

What brings us to E-tong?

A small village that was once a mining town.

- Pilok Mine, with its vintage cars, offers a hip backdrop for photography.

- Signs are provided for writing and hanging on the bridge.

- A small waterfall, locally called "Bpo Tamnok," features crystal-clear water and large carp.

>> For an adventurous experience, embark on a misty hike at #ElephantTuskHill. The trail is shrouded in dense fog, offering a unique and exhilarating adventure. Vehicles can access the starting point, located before the E-Tong village. Drive to the end of the road for the most immersive experience.

Alternatively, for those who prefer a more challenging adventure, the ascent can be initiated from the starting point in E-tong Village. However, be mindful of the rainy season and the presence of small snails during your trek.

>> You can trust us with your needs.

- Krua Jeh Nee, a renowned restaurant in Ban I Tong.

Must-try dishes: Egg in a pot (takes a while to prepare, so order early), Burmese tea leaf salad, and Burmese shrimp and crab. Don't miss out, but be sure to order in advance as they sell out quickly.

** Call to reserve Burmese shrimp and crab at Jeenee's restaurant at 089-5153528, 082-8145410.

- #Grilled pork shop at the entrance of E-Tong market, Isaan sausage is also delicious.

- #SpaghettiEetong (our own name) Opposite the grilled pork shop. It looks messy, but it's delicious.

- #Noodle shop at the corner of the road up #Elephant Mountain. The noodles are very delicious. They also sell other food, especially braised eggs, which are a must-try.

- The starting point for the renowned #White Elephant Mountain climb is E-tong Village, which presents a challenge for many people to attempt due to its limited annual opening period.

We stayed at Pilok Camp Coffee - Pilok Camp Coffee & Homestay, which offers rooms for 2 people at 800 baht and larger rooms for 5 people at 3000 baht. These rooms are located at the front of the property (request a front room for amazing views).

**For room reservations, please call 086-018-2938.**

**Coffee and food are available. Relax and enjoy the scenic mountain views.**

>> On the way, you can stop by **#Jork Ka Din Waterfall**, which is currently flowing with plenty of water, making it a refreshing and enjoyable experience.

>> Stop by the **Thong Pha Phum National Park Headquarters** to get a national park stamp and play with **Mom Mam**, the knowledgeable hornbill, a local internet celebrity. (Beware of being pecked on the head, ask the staff first. The staff here are very friendly.)

  • If driving a private car, it is recommended to fill up the tank before entering Thong Pha Phum National Park (there is a gas station in the village).

- You can take a bus to Thong Pha Phum, Kanchanaburi, which takes about 5 hours.

There are four daily bus routes from Thong Pha Phum to Ban E Tong.

The first round of the Thong Pha Phum Market-Ban Ee Tong route departs at 10:30 AM, 11:00 AM, 11:30 AM, and the final round departs at 12:00 PM.

If you miss the bus, take a ride to Ban Rai at the intersection and hail a taxi.

> From E-Tong Village to Thong Pha Phum Market, the first round is at 6:30 AM, 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, and 8:00 AM.

E-Tong Village has a temple, a school, friendly people, dogs and cats, and much more to discover. It is the starting point of happiness, difficult to reach, but once you do, the happiness is truly like a buffet.
